Have had my car serviced here a couple times, the last time I was able to get serviced was thanks to Linda Limon. I was trying to get an oil change last minute and knew it was going to be difficult cause it was last minute and on a Saturday. Thanks to Linda and her constant communication, she was able to fit me into a last minute appointment with one of her technicians. I was very thankful because I had a long trip the next day and wouldn’t have been comfortable driving my car without the oil change. Awesome customer service, will definitely bringing my car back to get serviced here!

Old looking dealership, was kind of deserted, nothing like the modern ones the competition has. No one to attend to my need for information for an RX. The one dude who was sitting kept telling me wait a sec, it was 15 mins and still no show. Neither did he get up to offer any information. Not going back here, I will take my money elsewhere
I have to say the ONLY reason I continue to come back to this location is the receptionist Mariya! She goes above and beyond to make each phone call or visit amazing. She answers all the questions and is always so patient with me. I will call this my home store as long as she works there !
Prices for oil changes and brake service is much cheaper than the old mechanic i used to go to for service. Used to go to Elite service center but the mechanics over at that establishment have no clue how to repair electric hybrid. Yet they want to charge you an arm and a leg.
Attempted to purchase a pre-owned (what a joke, just call it used, thats the official government classification) non-certified NX 200t that had been languishing on the lot for well over 60 days. The salesperson, a middle eastern gentlemen in his late 20s did the best he could to work a deal. Unfortunately, the old guard, his manager, a slender, balding white male simply would not let his underling make the sale on my terms, even though my terms were fair and would have allowed the dealership to profit. Ultimately, the vehicle languished for about another month before being auctioned off to some smaller non-branded lot where I can only imagine what poor soul ended up getting rooked for it. Dealerships nowadays have a certain attitude about them that you somehow need them. Wrong! Retail sales vehicles are discretionary income and an extremely depreciating asset unless you literally register and use it for business and even then youll be lucky to clear your ROI baseline. Its time for people to stand up and refuse all these ridiculous add-ons and government blaming tactics by all the dealerships. Call out their greed and hold them accountable. Be willing to walk away until you get the deal you want.

My husband and I went to Lexus El Cajon after a terrible experience at a local dealership Eva was our salesperson and we have a challenged credit history. I was sure we wouldn’t qualify but Eva & Patricia the finance coordinator did everything to help us get our car. Buying a car is stressful for me but Eva &Patricia took away my anxiety We were able to purchase a beautiful used vehicle that is in wonderful condition. I can’t say enough how our experience at Lexus El Cajon was compared to the way we were treated at the other dealership. Watch out for the hidden extra charges! Agreed to buy a car, but when we received the itemized bill, there were over $2,000 of extra charges for Clear Shield, Star Guard and VinEtch! We did not want these they they refused to remove them. If you are going to add extras, include it in the price of the car and not as a hidden cost! At this point we walked away.A week later, we received a call saying the car was still available and are we still interested; we said yes but at $xxxxx price only. This was agreed and we arranged to pick up the car the following morning. Less than 10 minutes later, we called back to see if we could come and pick up the car now, but apparently, someone had put down a deposit on it without seeing it - really!? If we had not phoned back, would someone have contacted us to tell us this or would we have turned up the following morning expecting to pick up the car? We were told someone would contact us the following day to let us know if the car had sold or not, we heard nothing so we contacted them and again were told someone would let us know the following day day. Heard nothing again and finally found the car had been sold by checking the website.Really not sure if the dealership were playing games or just did not want to sell us the car, but we certainly will not be going back there in the future and would advise anyone looking at purchasing a car from them to go in with caution, or, better still, just go somewhere else.
I want to give zero star!!!Really bad experience. Purchased a brand new car, later found some after-market installment. Wrote email to the sales guy named Jason and his managers, no one replied to me after 2 weeks. Called Jason, he told me he is not working on Friday morning and not responsible for this. What the hell! How could you sell me a brand new car with non-Lexus installment? And you said you are not responsible for that? Called his manager, also said not responsible.Dont deal with Jason or Lexus El Cajon!Really bad experience, and wont go there anymore. Find some other locations for your service.
As a shop GM we see a lot of drivers in and out all day. John Barwig (#4433) is great, cautious with the parts, makes sure things are sorted and not just dropped in the middle of the parts room. His attention to detail is greatly appreciated.

I posted a review last night but somehow its not on the page anymore. Update to my review (picture) I had my son point out on their webpage line up who he talked to and it turns out it was a sales manager that he talked to. So a sales manager of all people is asking for a 5 star review in order to fix an issue with the car. So I guess the only you can go from there is the GM.

This place is a scam. Yes, its a certified lexus dealership but they run shady business.I took my gfs lexus IS 200t in for inspection because the back right tire keep on leaking air. After the inspection, they told us the axel is damaged, the suspension is busted, basically the whole bottom of the car is jacked up. They quoted us about 7k for the fix and so we decided to get a second opinion.We later took our car to discount tires for some new rims. After the inspection, they told us the bottom of the car is fine just the rims are busted up and the tires are worn out. We got everything swapped out for 1587, and the car runs fine.They run some really shady business.

I felt like a VIP from start to finish. I waited to write a review till I went through the whole process. Starting from the very beginning when I emailed the dealership with questions. Tanner responded immediately and answered all my questions. I made an appointment with Tanner and was greeted at the door. He was able to help me find the perfect car. Tanner and the Sales Manager (I didn’t get his name) did an awesome job at getting the best deal for me. Then i was sent to Marie for signing papers and it went so fast and smooth. Everything went so smooth I would definitely buy from here again and hopefully with Tanner. Only thing I missed but I think it’s because i bought a used car is the big red bow 😂. But seriously this is the place to go to buy a Lexus and get great treatment.Now for the service department. I needed a second key, a front license plate put on and the paint and leather coating. I brought my car in first thing in the morning and got more 5 star service. I was greeted before I got out of my car by a very courteous gentleman and guided into the waiting room. Shortly after that I was greeted by Linda to get everything set up. I was given a loaner car as my car was going to be there overnight. The next morning i retuned and was given my key and I had some questions on a couple of buttons and learned what they were for.All in all El Cajon Lexus is a 5 star dealership and has a 5 star service department. Everyone was so courteous and knowledgeable. We will be buying all of our cars here from now on.

I recently bought a car from this dealership. At first it wasn’t the best experience. But after talking to Sarah V. Business Development Manager/ Guest Relations she was able to make sure that I was completely satisfied. I really appreciate her actually taking the time to listen to my concerns instead of just blowing me off. Which is what typically happens at other dealerships. I also must say that Michael H. Bought a car here they promised me a dent removal got my dent removed and when I picked it up it had a huge scratch on the side. They promised to remove it and when I went to get the scratch fixed at 5:10 they said they stop taking walk ins at 5 are you kidding me this place is a half an hour from my house and as a military member I dont exactly have all the time in the world to come in. For a 18k used car I would have bought a new one from somewhere else so I shouldnt have an this pain.
My god I rather drive my car somewhere else to maintenance then take a rental from here and die

I bought my first new car in over 12 years from Alvin at this location. I had a great experience during the sale, and Alvin has been helpful even after the sale of the car, answering some questions over email, etc.3-1/2 weeks later heres where I stand.When I arrived, I advised Lexus that I had lending in place with my credit union. I was informed by Alvin that he would run a soft inquiry that would not affect my credit, he would do this in order to see if he could get me a better rate. I asked multiple times if he was sure it was a soft inquiry that would not show up on my report, he assured me it would not. Not only did Lexus hit my report, Ive received several hits from various lenders.The car I purchased didnt come with a spare set of keys, Ive asked multiple times and they blow me off. So I had a great experience during the sale, as the salesman acted attentive, now I see it was just about a commission, and since I didnt buy 40,000 + car, Im really not that important of a customer.My advice, if you have lending in place, dont let them talk you into running your credit for a better rate, unless you dont mind the inquiries. And next, if youre buying used, make sure you ask about the second set of keys (the dealer wont mention it) - thats an expensive purchase for the consumer, a reputable dealer such as Lexus should really accommodate the buyer here.Hi Marie,I called and left you a message last week about the key, no response. There nothing that can be done about the inquiries, unfortunately.
As always, I was able to get a service appointment within a couple of days.The lady that scheduled my appointmentwas very nice (and patient) as we got adate set.The man in the service department wasprofessional and very kind. I opted to waitfor my car and thankfully the techs werequick and had me out in about 2 hours...with a wash-thank you very much.

I always have a great experience at Subaru El Cajon! I have used this dealership for all my Subaru oil changes and just bought my second Subaru (traded an impreza for the larger outback) and everyone at the dealership treated us very well. We had our 6 month old baby with us and they were respectful of our time and my need for a nursing area.

Love my 2015 Lexus RX 350 - the Service department treats you like a friend and respected customer. Not only to they send an email to thank you, but they call & leave a message to verify that one is satisfied with the service experience. Didnt need a loaner but one was offered. Now thats a great perk.
This review is meant to be a warning for anyone who is planning to have their vehicle serviced at this dealership. The only reason this review is not a 1 star is because the front desk staff and service advisors were professional and courteous. The technician (J. Oldan) that performed the complimentary 80K mile service covered under the L/Certified warranty, however, was inept. He installed the plastic oil filter housing cap, that is only supposed to be torqued to 18 ft-lbs. (basically just snug), using a power tool that over-torqued it beyond belief. The cap could not be removed using conventional tools afterwards for an oil change and ended up breaking and creating an oil leak, which left me stranded. I have changed the oil on this vehicle before using the same tools because I like to change it every 5K miles, or in between the complimentary oil changes that L/Certified provides. When I first changed the oil myself at 75K miles, after Lexus Escondido serviced the vehicle, the cap came off easily, as it should. Power tools may only be used to remove the oil filter cap and drain plug and should never be used to put them back on! The technician over-torqued both of them. When I brought the vehicle back on a tow truck (thus wasting a couple of hours of my time) with my own oil in the trunk, they replaced the cap for me, but overfilled the engine with my oil by at least half a quart, which is not good for the engine and wastes oil.Furthermore, I wanted them to address a squeak that was coming from the shifter as it went past N into D. Its not a big deal, but pretty annoying, so I wanted that addressed during the service. When I got the vehicle back, the squeak still persisted, though not as loud. When I took a look at what the technician did to address the issue, I was shocked and disappointed. Apparently, he smeared copper anti-seize all over the top of the shifter channel, creating a huge mess. Copper anti-seize is meant to be used on bolts, not on plastic, because the copper will eat away at the plastic parts when pressure is applied. White lithium grease or some silicon grease would have been proper lubricants to use, but definitely not copper anti-seize.Several months later when I was servicing the brakes, I found that one of my rear brake calipers was seized because a rubber plug was missing that was meant to keep the moisture out of the guide pin socket. It was obvious that it has been seized for quite some time (definitely over a year), since one brake pad was worn down at least twice as much as the other one. This should have been caught at the 80K mile service, but was overlooked, thus compromising the safety of my vehicle. This was also overlooked at Lexus San Diego at the 85K mile service.I have been working on my own cars for over 10 years, which is why I am able to check and discover the ineptitude of mechanics that work on my vehicles. You could say that this was just one bad mechanic, but the shop foreman is also responsible for not catching or discouraging the use of power tools to install plastic oil filter housing caps.Overall, I am extremely disappointed (despite not paying a single cent!) with the quality of service that my vehicle received at this dealership, so I hope you think twice before spending your money on service here.
I love this place! My service consultant, Jennifer Carrasco, is so professional and friendly. Every time I come here, she is the one who takes care of me. No other place is like this. I actually look forward to getting my Lexus serviced at Lexus El Cajon. I think I like how every customer counts here and they go out of their way to show it.

The most unprofessional dealership I have ever dealt with. Spent 2 hrs negotiating a deal on Presidents Day. (used car 101 very shady and annoying) and They kept sneaking extra fees in the deal. Then they said we couldnt take the car until bring them a check from our bank which is unheard of with an 811 fico score, 10,000 down and credit Union pre approval. So next day we go pick up the check and set appointment for 6:00 when off work and they text us at 3:00 telling us sorry we sold your car to someone else. Dont go to El Cajon Lexus, it is really bad.......
A week agoStrongly recommend George George but not the manager, went there to buy a car and talked to the sell manager he gave me an printing offer, I promised him to come next day to do the deal. I came back to do the deal met the same manager and when I asked him about the deal he said I am not remember gave you any deal and when I asked him about the printing offer he said I not have it, My mistake should be take a picture by phone as a proof because he refused to give me the printing offer. Be careful from fake offers and with any offer should keep proof with you

Eva was great to work with and the deals on the 2016 models were better than the other cars I have bought over the years... without the 5 hours of back and forth. It was easy...they had the pricing set at a reduction that was less the Kelly Blue Book said was a reasonable deal and that made everything easy.

Horrible experience thus far.Ordered several parts, expecting a part on Friday, they didnt have it in stock so they couldnt complete my order and said to call Saturday. I started calling at 9am, no answer. I called every 15 mins until finally I got someone at 10:15am. The receptionist transferred me over to the parts department, no answer, so she said to try again in 30 mins. After 30 mins I try again, still nobody answering at the parts department so the receptionist says to leave my name and number and they will call me back.I asked what the hours were and she said they close at 6pm.I drive to Lexus El Cajon and get there at 4:15pm, only to find out the parts department closes at 4pm on Saturdays and wont be open until Monday.Now Im stuck without the part and will not be able to complete the job. I would guess this would happen at a Toyota or Honda dealer but not a high end Lexus dealer.Please inform your staff of the correct hours. Please contact your customer when they leave a name and number with a receptionist. Please dont waste my time.

Just had the 90,000 mile checkup on my RX 400h. Have had LEXUS of El Cajon do all the preventative maintenance on it and it is still beautiful to drive and runs like it was new. They seem to be giving us a NEW RX400H loaner lately possibly hoping that we would upgrade, but my wife loves her 2007 and the way it runs, I think we will keep it another 100,000 miles.
I brought in my Lexus for a routine service. Jennifer Carrasco was my service advisor. Jennifer was amazingly helpful and efficient. My appointment started exactly on time, Jennifer had all the paperwork ready, explained everything and gave me an estimate sheet, provided a loaner car and had me out the door in five minutes. On the backend, the same. Turned in loaner and had my car - again within five minutes. No hidden charges, estimate was exactly what I paid. Of course, the car was expertly serviced and runs great and I have never had a better car wash in and out. I highly recommend Jennifer as a service advisor.
Show a RX350 F-Sport we liked, give them an offer on Saturday, they counter offered, it was a little more than we wanted to go so left. The wife really liked the car, so went back Sunday to get the same salesman BS you get everywhere, I should have bought it the previous day, they cant let it go for that, etc. Finally they said they would honor the agreement from the day before only to find out the salesman didnt understand what Out the door meant so were going to charge me $2000 more than what I thought we had agreed on. Of course, they do what they all do, show me what they have invested in it and would lose money if they sold it for what they said they would have sold it to me the day before. Finally compromised and got it for $500 more than if I had bought it 12 hours previous. I still got it at a great price, but could have done without the sales BS and should have just bought it the day before and saved $500.
I strongly urge people to use them. Their friendly and fast and it was the easiest car I ever bought. No sitting in aCubbies for hours. I just liked them. This was at Subaru right next door to Lexus.

I recently purchased a new-to-me IS-250 from Lexus El Cajon. It is a certified vehicle that was impeccably maintained by Lexus El Cajon. They are continuing to service it for me and I just had James give it and me the great service I have come to expect and respect. This is a great place. Because of them I will probably not ever own anything but a Lexus and Ill get them at Lexus El Cajon.
Getting in and out was quick, including getting a loaner. Their prices are reasonable, and the work is great. They even washed my car. Probably the easiest auto maintenance I have experienced in my lifetime. And the Lexus is wonderful to drive. Once you get used to it and all the extra features, you wont want to go back.
I just bought my 4th car from Lexus El Cajon. It was a great experience starting with my search on the website, talking with the sales staff over the phone, and then at the dealership.The finance process was very easy. If you are going there to buy a Lexus you will be treated like gold. If you want to get ripped off in their service dept, dont be in a hurry. Check every line of what you are charged for and beware. Ive heard they have a new manager in the service dept. That didnt help me from getting burned and I only go to Lexus when I absolutely have to. Burn me once, burn me twice, not three times.

I went back for my 30k service for my ES 300h. Overall, great experience. Terry, my service technician, immediately offered to get me a loaner as he said it would take 3.5 -4 hours. I decided to wait, and was very pleasantly surprised, when he had 2 people work on the car, as he knew I was waiting. It was finished in only 1.5 hrs. I really appreciated that, as well as the great coffee and pastries!
