One of the best tasting/brewery experiences my wife and Ive had. They have indoor and outdoor sitting area with pizza for food ordering during these COVID times. Our bartender Jake made it amazing, fun to hang out with and a great person, if the beer wasnt as amazing as it was would come back just to hang out with him. Speaking of the star attraction, the beer here is phenomenal. We are from the east coast and are used to barrel aged sours from Wicked Weed, the funkiness of New Belgium, Burials amazing brews, and Idyll Hounds perfection. But this place is in the top of my breweries due to how they can do all types very well. I never had a blonde I liked until I came here, and their kettle sours are great as an intro for people into beers or sours in general. 5/5 would recommend.

Legit beer! these guys are cool here. visiting from Temecula stopped in...tasted several from hazy pale to sour, and some milkshake IPAs..loved them all..keep up the great job Creative Creature!!

Fun little brewery. Liked the variety on tap, there was something tasty for everyone. Everyone was super nice. But it is small!

Great beer selection! I had the Adam West Coast and even took a growler to go! I also took two 4 packs of their sour IPA. Can’t wait to come back!

Delicious IPAs and the sour IPA is the best Ive tasted. If I ever make it back to the San Diego area, Ill gladly drive as far as it takes to get another sour from Creative Creature Brewery.

Creative Creature is by far one of the best in San Diego. There are very few breweries that truly nail a New England style IPA. This is where Creative Creature excels. I highly recommend this brewery you will not be disappointed.

Creative Creature is a tiny place in downtown El Cajon that you might miss if you arent careful. Unlike a Tardis, its bigger on the outside. The crew is fun and knowledgeable with an eye toward providing a unique experience. We chose the Pumpkin beer for an Autumn treat. An unexpectedly light golden creation poured into the glasses as we watched in surprise. One sip sealed the case, this was a citrus brew. I had to ask if the citrus flavor was lime, but apparently not. A slight finish of pumpkin might have been detectable, I cant be sure. Regardless of my expectation, our ales were delicious and priced reasonably. We sat outdoors on a comfortable patio and enjoyed the entire experience. Not sure where the citrus pumpkin idea came from, but Ill be back to try some different Creative Creatures craft. Try them for yourself and take advantage of a new brew in the making!

The majority of their beers are not particularly flavorful. Im not an IPA drinker, but the El Cajones lager is especially flavorless, as many lagers are. The three Berliner Weiss options were decent, with the Tamarindo being the most flavorful. There best of the lot was the Stout with vanilla and other flavors. The spicy Porter had a nice burn in the after taste, if you like that sort of thing, but when I visited it seemed flat which I think hindered the flavor.One positive was the service, which was very good, unlike some other SD area breweries. Derek was very nice and friendly and even came by a couple of times to clear away the empty glasses.

If you know me, you know I love beer. And I can guarantee this is the best local brewery in SD. Amazing quality beer and amazing customerservice, what more do you want?

I recently moved to El Cajon and Im delighted to see that theres a brewery so close to home, with super friendly staff no less. When I went, there were 14 beers on tap. Of the two I tried, Kiwisaki (sour IPA) was my utmost favorite. Not too many breweries offer sours, so please keep making this one! The second beer I tried was El Cucuy (stout), definitely a winner with the winter weather. Can we please put this on nitro?!?! Looking forward to trying more delicious brews.Things to know before you go: inside seating is limited, but theres also some outdoors, with heaters if its cold. Also, you can order take out from Urbn if youre hungry. And dont forget to bring your growler!

It wa tiny, the server didnt ask if it was our first time, didnt offer to samples of beers we wanted to try.All he said was you can buy a 4oz. If you what to try it.Service was okay.& the beer was okay.
