I feel the employees go above and beyond and provide excellent customer service!Ive been a loyal customer at this location for almost a year now and they are always amazing! Love the tall white guy who wearsmake up (and looks flawless and fierce b.t.w)and is so helpful! He really knows his stuff and is very informative on all the products! Kirk?Also, Ive had my hair done here by both Kristy and Faith and they both are outstanding hair stylists who are so easy and fun to talk to!Even the security guy is friendly and always greets me! Its a very busy store and they all work very hard here. Keep up the great work!

Wow, Faith was very helpful and found us things we were looking for.Picking up some gifts for grand daughters. This was our “go to” place and we have shopped there before. Great selection and very knowledgeable about their products and Holiday shopping. They told us to check the website for sale info and when new products and gift ideas would drop.This is one of many reasons we like this store and the wonderful people like Faith, who make us come back..

Cristy is thee best! I have been going to her for years. As a flight attendant, I travel in just to see her! She is kind, understands what you want but will be honest enough to advise whether or not you hair can support the cut, style, or chemicals. Hard to find someone so honest and caring. Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance for hair curling only (I have to attend a wedding that day) and they cancelled my appointment 3 days before due to “unforeseen circumstances.” Soooo professional! I do not recommend this establishment for any kind of hair services. They cancelled my appointment via text and you could tell that they couldn’t care less. THIS PLACE SUCKS!

Ulta to me is like the low budget of Sephora. I have never understood why amazing brands continue to align with Ulta. Everytime I go- nobody greets me, nobody asks me if I need help. It’s laughable at this point. I typically shop online, but I needed a few items right away. I went this afternoon and spent almost $200 and NOBODY said,” hello,” offered assistance, etc. It is frankly unacceptable. They also targeted a gentleman who didn’t,” look” the part and told him they were going to keep his items up front. It was obvious they were profiling him based on how he looked.The culture of Ulta is low-vibing, lacks true customer service, and needs a revamp from the top all the way to the bottom. I can spend my money ANYWHERE and frankly I wil l probably return everything and purchase elsewhere. After the collective as a whole experienced a shut-down, loss, etc. we (customers) deserve to be TREATED with kindness, exceptional customer service, and friendliness and not less than mediocore service.

I got the feeling they thought my friend and I were stealing, we’re both young hispanic girls and the security was following us around. I’m a loyal ulta customer and it’s disrespectful. At the very least, don’t make it so obvious. Otay ranch location is WAY better and I have never been followed around.

Very unprofessional. Mr. Nicole at store 583. Had items placed with sale items. When they charged the regular price. Why couldnt, they separated them? Which confuses the consumer? Very Disappointing. The tarte brand isnt on sale

If my stylist, Brieanna, hadnt done such an excellent job, this rating would have been 1 star. I made an appointment a week prior at the point Loma location, they had to cancel for whatever reason and they instead rescheduled me here per my request. I was told to be there at 11am. 2 days prior to the appointment, a stylist calls me and says theyre moving my clipper cut to 4pm, but did not communicate that my color would be moved as well. Managers were diligent in finding a solution to my problem but it didnt save me from making an extra trip. After my last experience with the manager of the mission valley store, Nikita, I do have PTSD with ulta and Im trying to regain confidence in the ulta brand.

The beauty consultant showed me exactly what I was looking for without hesitation, with kindness, understanding, and patience. The price on the item was great as well.Thank you ladies.

I hate that most lipstick are used thats why they have testers stop opening the lipstick 🤬 and the ones you order online come used that is disgusting .

If I could give it a zero star I would I dont know if they were in a bad mood because it was a day on the weekend I went to look for a product but I doubt that any customer needs to get bad attitude and not helpful associate working at this location. The associate that I asked a question to told me she didnt know if they had the product that I could possibly find the product in # aisle. When I had to pay the cashier was rude and with an attitude thats why I never went back with one time being at that location I had it and decided to give Las Américas location a tried their attitude was different they were respectful, nicer/friendly, and super helpful.

The suggestions and advice that James provided were spot-on! James was patient and thorough while he walked me through the specifics of each aspect of make-up application. He even took the time to create a numbered list so Id have something to refer to once I got home. I spent about $370 and love each and every product.

They have great experience, they can give great advice based on the hair type plus nature and what suits the face. Moreover they are capable of doing whatever style or haircut u want. I had a very nice hair cut and i like my experience there. U have Nichole and Bree 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I love their work and definitely will go there to do highlights and hair cut in future.

Lexi is the best! I went in for a haircut and color. And I came out looking like a mermaid.After 2 yrs of not cutting my hair and using box color she made my hair bouncy and beautiful by the end of the appointment. Thank you so much Lexi!

I love this store! The staff are more laid back than Sephora and dont breathe down your neck. They offer help and leave you alone if you decline. I also love the in-store salon and skin services.

The customer service at this Ulta is horrible. Sadly I have dealt with it because it’s convenient but when the 21 days of beauty came out that was the icing on the cake. They had a certain item I wanted to try, however I didn’t realize you’re required to spend a certain amount in their store to qualify for the lower price. When I asked the manager about the price difference she had an attitude and spoke to me as matter of fact, she was quite rude. As a result I returned all my items. I believe it was the assistant manager who is a male that assisted me with my returns. Tact goes a long way.Update:Out of convenience came back to this store to try again and the customer service is still same, disappointing. I can’t justify spending my money here and will once again be returning my item. I get treated better in Santee.

Im conflicted on my review for this place because I genuinely like the beauticians who did my hair. I have curly, natural hair and I went to go have it straightened for a vacation I was leaving on the next day. The lady who straightened my hair BURNT my hair.So, Ulta gave me 2 free trims. Eventually we had to cut all of my hair off (and I mean ALL) because my hair was so damaged there was nothing that could be done to have it fixed.Then, I went to a barber shop the next day after having my hair cut off, and the barber asked who cut my hair, because it was so uneven, which resulted in having to have my hair basically shaved to have it shaped properly.Went from having shoulder length hair to a shaved head.Will never go back to this ulta beauty.

Paid for a make up lesson and the woman made me look like a clown. Do not get a makeup lesson here, waste of money! My sister did a way better job than this place and she doesnt claim to be a professional

I havent been to ulta beauty in years, and it was nothing then like it is today! They have grown huguely, and in a positive way! They have every brand in hair care products, perfumes, makeup, and so much more. Prices have stayed reasonable and much better than other beauty shops..ulta, you are GRAND!! TY I got the Paul Mitchell purple leave in toning spray, pravana purple masque, keracolor violet toning drops..all was in stock at store, sometimes you want it now, and dont want to wait for it to be delivered! Inside the store was very large, and not packed to gills, which makes it harder to see & find things, ladies on the floor were very pleasant, and not pushy at all. Very good experience & I recommend!

I like this place - when its not during the holidays! The store is a complete disaster during busier times of the year. One would hope that during the slower times of the year they would organize and clean the samples, put items where they belong, and make it easier to find what youre looking for. Easy to get overwhelmed looking for type of item (concealer or foundation) but have bazillion to choose from with no direction on whats best for skin type, skin color, skin prep, etc. This place is great if you know EXACTLY what youre looking for though. If theyre no sold out of your item. 2 out of 3 times I have been there I will find what I need. I think the layout of the store could be more organized too - I dont have time to hunt for eyeliner and then find out theyre sold out of what I want.

Love everything in this store! Lines are long at checkout but they keep them moving pretty quickly.

I use to love ulta but this last visit I felt like the young ladies that were working there are not trying to be helpful. The supply of product was very low and some of it was opened and used. I think I need to find a new makeup store. I am very concerned with cleanliness of that store and its def lacking.

Worst customer service. I waited for 15 minutes for no one to approach me in hair care. I watched three girls stealing. Two very cold women chatted by the salon and told me someone would help me soon. No one came so I left. I will never step foot in the store again.

I went there a couple weeks ago for primer & wanted an opinion on primers, what was the best for my skin. I literally waited for 25 mins for someone to help me. They kept on walking by & never once asked if I needed help. Until I went up to one of them & acted like she didnt even want to help me. Then what she had referred me to they didnt even have the products. Everything was pretty much ran out. Worst experience in a makeup store.

The ulta salon is horrible I wanted a touch up on my blonde highlights and left with half ashy gray hair and half orange hair. I had to go back to have it fixed for the second time and left with brown hair... I showed a picture of what my hair was a week before which was a pretty golden blonde highlight. My advice is to stay away.The professionalism is low grade and very gossipy. I would never trust them with my hair ever again.she even messed up my blowout. This was the third attempt at this. That means I went a total of 3 visits. A blowout should be smooth and sleek but turned out frizzy and puffy. I am completely dissatisfied.

Just okay. The store was very unorganized when I went in, it was hard to find what I was looking for. Also, when the website says something is in stock at this location, that might not be true. They didn’t have over half the things I needed. I’ll either try the Mission Valley store or wait for delivery next time.

They never have any of the items i’m looking for in stock and when they do, they’re either open or have been swatched. they rarely ever restock. i’ve asked one of the employees when they plan on restocking a certain item but in reality, they don’t restock until about 3 weeks to a month later. the lines are always long, and it doesn’t help that they only have 1-2 cashiers up front. tbh one of the worst ultas i’ve been to.

This place SUCKS. Takes a very long time to restock items and is very messy. The NYX area is kinda gross. Employees are only a little helpful. Bare minimum.

Terrible! no one asks if you need help!. I went in there looking for make up, and as i proceed to sample some in my arm ( from the tester bottle). I then decided to ask and employee for a second opinion which turn out to be a manager( red hair). She told me that i was not allowed to test anything, i told her it was open but she kept telling me that it was still not ok. I felt extremly embaresed and went back to were i found the make up and check, it turn out that the whole make section had a tester on it ( a bottle with a big sticker TESTER) . GEEZE! if youre going to ridicule a customer like that at least know your product and what you have for testing! .
