Thanks for the perfect customer service!Reinhard BlumbergerLuthier, Vienna, Austria
One of the best memories of my life was when I was a kid and my dad even thou he was not into guitars at that time drove me 2 hours to this factory. It was incredible to see all the work put into them and how well they treat everyone visiting. I highly reccomend everyone to visit this place even if you dont play guitar.
I will not debate that Taylor make great guitar in fact I just ordered one. But good luck getting the status on your order, just no way to get any info from them. My dealer has no luck either.
While in the area on business last year I made sure to come visit Taylor. Boy, was I impressed! Ive played guitar over 20 years now, and after all that time it was a joy to see where Taylors are made. Ive wanted a Taylor as long as I can remember, and getting to meet the folks involved with building these fine instruments only hardened that goal. They dont usually sell guitars from the headquarters, but they did have some previously used demo models available. These werent exactly what I was looking for, so I high-tailed it up to a local shop the next day and picked up a lovely Taylor to bring home. I plan to visit again just to see if any changes have been made to the production process.
This is a user from Kansas City who was consulted by mass street music today. My guitar is 714CE. My guitar is 15 years old, but it sounds fantastic and it still sounds good. Whats even better is that the Repair service is also the best! I look forward to it. Thank you very much!
Great tour!We joined the 1:00 p.m. group tour. And we had a fantastic time! Unfortunately, we forgot the name of our tour guide, now, he was really brilliant! His genuine passion for guitar, music and Taylor is a big part of the experience we’ve had there! The tour takes you through the different steps and processes of the El Cajón factory and explains how to build a Taylor guitar. It mixes high technology machinery and highly skilled craftsmen... truly interesting!Note that it is only available during weekdays
Taylor guitars are leading the way to the future of guitars. The tour was awesome. AND they let you play all the guitars in the showroom and there will be plenty of like-minded people talking and playing. Just dont play Wish You Were Here. They were also REALLY COOL with my dog!
Spoke with Josh in customer service about my new 814ce I just purchased. He was very respectful and helped me with an issue with my new guitar that probably my own doing. But Josh wasn’t condescending in any way and created a very visual of what I was most likely doing wrong. He also took the time to look up service centers in my area and state if I continued to have an issue. Very great experience
Thoroughly enjoyed an outstanding tour at Taylor guitars today. Our tour guide had an intimate understanding of the manufacturing process, company philosophy and communicated the companies pride in their product and employees who create such beautiful guitars. Very, very impressive!
2nd time being in their showroom, 1st time buying a guitar from the showroom. Took the tour of the factory the first time, and hung out for a few hours this time to play more. Ended up finding a killer 224, then comparing it to all of the 2-series in the showroom and above and finally just as they were about to close for the day, took it home. The sales process was easy and quick, the sales manager was friendly and informative all the way through the inspection and delivery of the new guitar.Very happy overall and will be back for another tour as the employees are the ones who guide the tour so you may get a neck specialist or someone with a lot of knowledge about the finishing process.
We are very big Taylor Guitar fans and made sure we made the time to visit the factory while vacationing in SD. Who doesnt want to see where musical artistry start from?We got there too late for the factory tour and pretty sad that they were just minutes away from finishing. But...the very nice lady at the counter offered our family a quick non-formal personal tour, which we were so so thrilled of the offer! Angel was our tour guide, she was so great and did wonderful showing us around and we are so grateful of their hospitality and just taking the time out to show us everything. Everyone in each section of the factory were so nice and explained what their part was in the process of guitar making. We saw the guitars being put together from the stacks of wood, to sanding down every wooden part and watch them put the tiniest details on. Its was really great to see the guitars being born into such beautiful and wonderful sounding pieces. The factory displays their different models from their basic up to the rare and rich colored wooden models. You can pretty much have a jam session in there with anyone thats willing to join in with you while you try out every model in the house.Thank you so so much Angel and Taylor Factory Family for taking the time out for our family. We are never going to forget your wonderful hospitality and such a great family experience!
Amazing experience! tour was very cool, after the tour checked out the guitars. Awesome friendly service no pressure at Mark V the sales manager was extremely helpful and answered all my questions patienty with me even after having problem with my credit card thanks Mark .Than today I got a Taylor envelope in the mail its a card hand written and 2 pics of me with the guitar at the factory! I will buy another Taylor for sure ..make sure you come down check out the tour its awesome!
I wanted to say thank you to Keith, Taylors Director of Business Development, who I met a couple weeks ago at San Marcos Guitar Center. He helped me purchase a demo model T5Z, at a reduced price, since it was in kinda bad shape for a new guitar! Anyway..the GC Tech cleaned it up...set it up and put new strings on it, and I love the guitar! Thanks again!- Corey Cather
Awesome tour. Most of the staff is pretty enthusiastic.. Not so much the women at the front desk. They arent as welcoming. Also had to call for customer service before and they come off as annoyed.
Best Guitars, Period.
I came to get my guitar pickup upgraded and to have my guitar serviced. The employees were really helpful and nice. A little expensive but what can you expect from a premium guitar company. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs their Taylor Guitar fixed/serviced.
Taylor Guitars is an amazing place where you can try anything they make enjoying the “Wall” of guitars, everyday At 1pm Taylor’s offers a full tour of the manufacturing facility showing how they take bare wood and turn it into a beautiful instrument. I highly recommend the instruments and the tour.
Excellent tour, very informative and free. Took about 1.5 hours. You can take pix in most parts and afterwards play guitars in their shop up to $ 9.000 worth. You can buy all models including the Mexican made ones, but, alas, there is no discount 😋
I’ve enjoyed the plant tour seeing how they take just raw wood and through the process turn that wood into an amazing instrument. Also on the tour I got to meet some of the guitar technicians and see how they work on “our” guitars.. I now own 2 Taylor’s and they are amazing!!
Definitely was a splendid experiences the front was friendly and had a tech come out immediately to look at the guitar. Patrick was the tech and was timely with adjustments and got the guitar in and out in a few minutes looking new again. Thanks
I went on the factory tour and enjoyed it thoroughly, plus, they have a showroom were you can try out several different models of Taylor guitars. If you are a guitarist, I highly recommend taking a trip to the Taylor Guitar factory--just be sure to be check the factory tour schedule.
I am soooo biased! I own several Taylor Guitars and finally went out for the tour when i was in town. SPECTACULAR. They make you feel welcome, whether you own one or not. They have several in the waiting area that you can play. They take you all through the process of making a guitar. Its wonderful. Friendly. Now, Im ready to buy another guitar, but, its gonna be another Gibson, I fear. Only my 3rd. But, they will look lonely next to my 7 Taylors. I love em. I loved the tour.
I absolutely love taylor guitars. There determination to fine craftsmanship is explicit. If your seeking a guitar that has had alot of care put into the craft I would highly recommend Taylor Guitars for your next instrument.
Very special experience touring the factory. If you are a taylor guitar player, it’s really cool that you can be able to see how they build the guitars.
Drove out on vacation from Coronado island, everything says they are open for tours. Not open, no signs no bells no nothing! Nice customer service!
My next guitar will be a Taylor because I went on the tour of the factory and I see and feel what goes into the making of a classic sound! Love it!
WOW!! What a great experience! I met Angie the front desk Customer Rep. and she was friendly and professional. Ryan who works the gift shop area was the same and helped me get what I came in for.Josh looked up a serial number for meand went and got me the hard shell case I neededfor my Ovangkol T5X. I went two bldgs. down toget to the repair and set-up shop, where I met Corawho welcomed me offered me coffee, and askedsomeone to help me. Randy adjusted my neck andthen replaced an almost dead battery with a new one. He ran my T5 through all its electronics functions.I tried the guitar for two hours the night before butafter the adjustment Randy did, I played it when I gothome and it was much improved. Thanks all aroundto everyone who stopped what they were doing tohelp me. Taylor guitars! Do the tour at 1pm andbuy aTaylor! My T5 is a tone Monster!
Met employee Andrew(Management). I think he needs to be more understanding of others and their cultural or just personal quirks and idiosyncrasies. Not even you live in a perfect world, Andrew. Grow the hell up.
The team at Taylor Guitars is incredible! Their forward thinking innovation and craftsmanship is unmatched. Awesome!
Tour is awesome. Ive taken my high school guitar classes and they loved it!
Joined a free tour and got my Taylor refreshed here. Great experience!
Taylor makes some of the very best acoustic guitars. I have enjoyed the baby Taylor a lot.

This is a must stop for musicians. Every time I drive by Ill stop in and see what guitars are available to play. If I happen to be in time for the tour, Ill try to find the time to tag along. Make sure that you arrive at 12:45 if youre going to go on the tour! It lasts until about 1:15
Excellent customer service. I have been a Taylor player for 20 years and they have always supported their guitars.
