Great local spot for coffee, pastries, and bagels. I had a cappuccino and a bagel which both were quite delicious. They also have large sandwich and beer menu too.The walk-up ordering system is also great. Accept touch-less payments. I’ll be back soon!

Editing my review to reflect improved service.There was a prompt response from the owner, and apparently new processes implemented behind the counter to ensure that the same problem was less likely to happen. They seem to be on top of the problem.Leaving the original review below for transparency, and to show what has been improved upon.---I had a pretty terrible experience the first (and hopefully, only) time I went here.To be fair, it was early in the morning, and maybe it was a new hire, but I didnt get what I paid for, and I didnt have the time to go back. I ordered bagels with spread (one hummus, and one cream cheese). I received two bagels without any spread, and one was squished and awful (see attached photo).There were several people waiting, and the person serving the coffee didnt know whose coffee they were serving. Ive got two drinks here for.... someone.... .To be fair, its just coffee and bagels. However, theyre coffee and bagels I paid $12.00 for, with a tip; I should actually get what I ordered, and not have to hope I didnt get someone elses drink.

Dropped by yesterday for an oat milk cappuccino and was so impressed by this cozy local spot—thank you for the delicious drink and the lovely hospitality. Sandwich menu also looks great so definitely will be back for lunch soon!

Some of the best coffee Ive ever had. I drive 10 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays for just 8 oz. of their black coffee. Super smooth, fragrant, and always the perfect cup.

This place serves delicious chewy semi freddy bagels with generous amounts of cream cheese. I was especially impressed that they have larrupin sauce. All with fast service and reasonable price. It is a little easy to miss this place of you are driving by, but I would definitely recommend a breakfast here.

This is hands down the best coffee shop Ive been to. The staff are incredibly friendly, the coffee is divine, they have amazing bagels and sandwiches, and the prices are competitive. The shop itself is small but cute, I love the dual level layout. Overall, I cant recommend this place enough.

I have to say, my daughter through out the years wants us to own a cafe and store like Jenny KS! We still love to go to our neighborhood cafe! Jenny and Kevin are the best and we love their cheery staff! They make if super welcoming! We love to hold meetings at their workplace next-door!

Small, unassuming local coffee bar and snack shop with outdoor seating and a couple of indoor tables. My first time here and so far, its cool. My iced latte was perfect- not too sweet. Will come back again.

Wonderful little cafe that is all about supporting the local neighborhood. Its places like this that really give a community its soul. Keep up the good job!The coffee, bagels, sandwiches, and pastries are great too. If you dont get there until the afternoon, you might find that your favorite bagel or bread is sold out. I havent made it to the relatively new happy hour yet, but I plan on checking it out soon.

So.... as a barista for 5 years..... I’ve got a good idea of what I like in coffee. A long black(espresso on top of water). But I always go into a shop and try what they are brewing first time.Turns out they are selling us long blacks not coffee. Which is fine. Your trickery is divine and also blew my mind that this tastes just like how I used to make them 😍😍

Well Grounded Cafe is a godsend in El Cerrito. Great coffee. Great bagels. Great staff. And a great place to meet a friend or do some work outside the office. I hope they are around forever!

Great local El Cerrito business that serves great coffee and coffee drinks. The small cup of coffee is PRETTY small, but the quality of the brew is amazing. You may see a line when you stop by in the morning but youll barely feel the wait with the wonderfully nice people working there.

Neighborhood coffee shop where there isnt any other nearby, this is a great place to meet friends and get some work done. Full coffee offerings with their fancy Swiss-made coffee machine, they also make fresh, made to order sandwiches and bagels.Now also serving beer. So I guess I can stop by on the way home AND on the way to work!

The coffee here is my favorite - I prefer it over Peets. The owners are easy going and friendly and theres a great neighborhood vibe. Sometimes the wait is a little long, but its worth it!They even will replace your coffee if you spill it.....

Not only they have great food and no wait time, They provide exceptionally excellent customer service.Id forgotten my mac book charger. They priority mailed it to me, if couple of hours!!Of course, I paid for shipping, but I do not know if any other place will do that. It must have taken owner at least 30 minutes to drop it off at post office right away!

We love stopping by here and getting lunch and taking some bagels home with us; or in our case, taking it to our kids place and grand kid. We ordered a turkey panini and a cheese panini sandwich and both were delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful so we will be back.

Cute, small, tasty sandwich, wild children running about sometimes, but they are cute and not tooo distracting. Great happy hour too :) Plus yummy selection of beers. Best place to enjoy watching the rain while enjoying a great baggle sandwich and tea. Wine selection is better than Peets, if thats your thing.

My regular stop-off point for a mid-morning coffee and snack when I was in El Cerrito. Its friendly, and serves up great bagels and coffee (including organic). Has just three or four tables in the cosy room, and a couple of places outside on the street.

Honestly some of the best coffee Ive had in a long time. Just off the hook. The Little Gift shop next door is sweet too
