I had the most WONDERFUL customer service experience with Cora! It was busy but she never let that get in the way of her pleasant, perky demeanor. She treated each customer with care, even making a point to explain processes and procedures to each customer and brainstorm ideas when people had problems. I waited in line for a while and witnessed her kind, consistent, and efficient behaviors and was truly impressed. Once it was my turn, she kept up the excellent service. The most pleasant customer service experience that Ive had in a LONG time. Cora CLEARLY loves her job, is knowledgeable, and likes working with people. Cora, thanks again and I hope your boss gives you a raise AND buys your lunch!

It costs $5 to print the label on an Amazon return package. The Amazon app displays a QR code that can be printed and returned for free at the UPS store, which makes no sense. The UPS at 2342 Shattuck has better service with free printing label.

There is at least one employee here who steals packages. I dropped off a package here last month and UPS tracking says it was never shipped. I dropped it off ten minutes before they closed and the employee said i was too late and if i really wanted to ship it she couldnt give me a package receipt slip. This felt suspicious but I trusted her. She took the package with a $150 camera in it.Edit: i contacted the manager following their comment below and they did nothing. Avoid this place as it is run by thieves.

There’s a lot of good reviews but this UPS store has only rude employees and their customer service was very bad. I asked a question and they cut me off before I was even able to finish asking my question, and not only that but they laughed at me when asked my question as if they were making fun of me because I wasn’t able to get the words out. Overall HORRIBLE service!

I’ve visited twice to do returns via UPS, and the staff has been attentive, efficient, and polite. Better than average service I’ve received at most east bay UPS locations, so don’t believe the low eaters!

Love this store so much! I drive past another UPS to get here because they are always very helpful and don’t charge a dollar to help tape your package. I’ve been here well over thirty times the past year for amazon returns. Today Skyler helped me, they always work fast and are friendly. I have seen Several rude customers today including one today refusing to wear his mask, very rude to everyone making the elderly nervous- and yelling that he was going to fart and see if the staff could still smell it through their mask. He said he was going to write a negative review and that made me realize I should write a positive one. It should not be okay to berate and yell at staff, if you have issues with a policy- message the company.

Shipped a small box yesterday, was told it would get to its destination the next day. When I tried to track it, it didnt exist. I called the store and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. Then when the lady came on she apologized because there were a lot of people. Thats fine, its understandable. However, what was not understandable was that she checked into it and said it would be delivered in 4 days!!! why promise next day and charge $31? she said that even if i had sent it earlier it wouldnt have gotten there next day. Then why promise that??? it even is on the receipt next day with todays date. She really didnt care or try to make it better.

This UPS is unprofessional and rude. I bring my amazon drop off three times and they gave different excuse every time and do not accept my drop off. Staffs are rude and they not even trying to help and solve the problem. First time they said their system is not working. Second time said their printer is not working. Third time they said my item must put it in one box.Guess what, I return my big package in another ups. They helped me to solve the problem instead of just ask me to contact Amazon by myself. That’s the different. It is just 5 minutes drive from this UPS store. If you want to have a nice day, you probably should go another ups store instead.

The supervisor (Shenaya, I believe), was very rude and talked to me as if I am stupid when I called to confirm that all my packages were scanned. She had very poor manners, and completely lacked any customer service skills. Badly done.

I find this UPS to be one of the best ones out there, contrary to some opinions here.The staff and excellent and always courteous to me. When Im dropping off a package they would print me out a receipt and even sometimes go out of their way to take care of this small task without having me waiting too long (if a register is free and theyre not actively taking customers in line).I was surprised to see lower ratings here, but not really a surprise when most are complaining due to their own ignorance and negligence.Highly recommend coming here if youre looking for a good, efficient, and polite UPS location.

I called just to verify store hours, being that Covid has changed, some businesses store hours, automated system and website has not be accurate, lately with Covid I spoke to associate who was very rude had no manners what so ever, if your not up to working and give customers service with a smile you should stay home, having a nasty attitude does not get you no where in life.

I found the staff to be prompt, efficient and very friendly. When I first entered the store, I saw a church member of mine being assisted by an employee, by the name of LaNise and when I went to the counter to drop off my package I was greeted promptly by another employee, whose name is Leona.After reading some of the review for this particular UPS store, I was a little reluctant but contrary to what I read, I am very happy to say that these two young ladies made my experience a very pleasant one and because Id this experience, I do intend to use this UPS store for all my future business....!!!

The service is good in the past years but not today. they refuse to accept my packages because they have limited space although they do have in the back. they said they need to keep the places for other customers.i have been with the office for 5 years, but not in the future.

This place used to be nice but...now theres a fat Lady by the name jenn..something....worst customer service .... made me use their computer for scanning barcode and charged 3 bucks for nothing.....bythe way i had the barcode in my phone, which they let me use last time. But said never done that way before..just lied straight in my face for carrying 3 dollars.

The woman managing this store has very clearly only been promoted to a leadership position be default because shes so incredibly inept its a joke.She assigned us the wrong mailbox when we signed up, then didnt bother calling or mailing that info to us at all for weeks to let us know - ALL WHILE SHE WAS PERSONALLY REFUSING ALL OF THE PACKAGES THAT WERE COMONG IN FOR US BECAUSE THEY WERE BEING SENT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS THAT SHE TOLD US WAS OURS!!!Not only that, but when confronted she threatened to CALL THE OWNER OF UPS to have our box cancelled lol its not funny because thats our business mailbox but the facts that her brain is so ... small that she would threaten to call the owner of ups because she didnt appreciate our disappointment after learning she had refused dozens of peices of our business mail... its just a joke.Its one thing to make a mistake. Its another to blame US for her misassigning our box and refusing 20+ packages our business needed.But then to threaten to take our box away when we do to speak to a manager and ig turns out this idiot is it smh theyre costing this business so much money.We immediately found another box down the street to rent just to avoid further damage to our business.Ill be calling corporate to see if theyre aware of the mall cop they promoted to manager thats demolishing their company trust, one refused packaged and wrongly assigned mailbox at a time.

I actually feel sorry for the workers, for what they need to know, and what they get paid. They tried to charge me for a service I didnt even get. Then proceeded to lie about something I never said. Then I went to Copy Central on San Pablo Ave/ Moeser Ave., and they dont even charge you for being on the computer if your just printing something of your email. UPS charges $3.00 to use their computer. And double the price for copies. Way overpriced. Never again.

All the guys who work there are slower than sloths. I waited in like for 20 minutes for no reason while these guys were taking their sweet time doing nothing. I hate this place and I try my hardest not to go there. I hate this place!!

Customer Service has definitely fallen in the streets. I have been a faithful customer of UPS El Cerrito Plaza for 5+years and Wednesday Sept 18th I received the worst service ever. When I went to the store inquiring on what happened to my cards that I needed for an important business meeting and had them specially shipped express mail. I explained all this to the manager how mandatory it was for me to locate these cards and the overall seriousness of matter. The response I received from the onsite store manager Sanford was a total shred to my integrity he responded first of all you need to stop talking to me like someone off the street, this statement left me the customer very perplexed and even offended; how a manager someone that is should specialize in customer service was able to speak to me in this manner was far beyond my understanding. He then realized and that it was he himself who had signed for the package and forgot to log it into the system which is something he should have never told me especially since he didnt care enough to attempt to accommodate me for this huge inconvenience. When I finally was able to get him to realize he dropped the ball and was at total fault in the matter; he went on to tell me he would only accommodate me if I brought in the invoice of the item he didnt take the time to log into the system. This caused even more hardship for me not only were my cards lost and I was completely stressed out about my meeting but I was now put in a position to make all these calls and jump through hurdles to contact my graphic designer who lives a very busy life as well, and the person who handles my accounts. So that we could re-order my special designed business cards which of course meant more fees on his end just to have this service done again, and stop in the middle of his day filled with clients to assist me. After being there 3 hours I finally decided to come back in the morning first thing since they were closing. At this point I was giving Sanford the on-site manager more customer service and consideration then he had showed me. When returning his staff was just as rude as he had been, like manager like staff. When Sanford the on-site manager at UPS came in that morning he begin to yell at me telling me I man handled his staff and I would want to stop talking to him like some girl off the street. This inadequate excuse for a manager insulted my character far to many times and he was the one who didnt do his job accordingly, his lack of customer service and consideration is why I am now looking for another place to have my mail sent. Sanford was by far thee most unprofessional manager I have ever encountered, I have no desire to ever return to this store again.
