Great local pan-Asian market! Leans more heavily towards Thai and Indonesian foods, but still plenty of Chinese and Japanese ingredients. Staff is always kind and polite. Prices for fresh ingredients are a steal!

Its great to walk into a store where the employees are calm, patient and kind. Also the variety here is amazing, its huge~!!! Even when its busy its not really busy, so there might be a small crowd but thats it. People coming here seem to generally know what they want and its a quick in and out for most. That being said, they are some pleasant customers, its definitely nothing like the people who solely shop at Walmart.The prices, atmosphere and variety make this somewhere you gotta visit. I got my divided hotpot pot here!

I asked a woman who worked there where a particular flour was and she wasn’t too helpful and said what I see was all they had. I was walking down an aisle close by and I found the flour I was looking for. She shrugged her shoulders. Then she checked me out, I paid and I left and forgot my bag (my kids were to blame). I realized when I arrived home and there is no phone number anywhere online and I drove all the way back and I asked her and she said I left it in the bag area counter right next to the register. She said she looked outside and I was gone. Umm yea I was parked in front of the store window and it takes me a while to put my kids in. She knew.So their selection is plentiful but that woman was rude and bad customer experience. I will go to another Asian store not to much farther from now one.

I love this store! I used to live in Uptown in Chicago and this store reminds me of the Asian grocery stores there because they have everything you could ever expect from an Asian grocery. I also love that they have banh mi sandwiches, BBQ pork and roast duck for sale and more! Highly recommend this store!!

I was asked to cook a full oriental meal for a get together at my home.Soup, Egg Rolls, Chicken and Beef.I had alot of cooking to do. I found Golden Market, Elgin and wasBlown Away! You want a 100lbs of rice, we got it. Want to pick a sause experiment with, they got a hundred.Some great frozen ready made things. I took one star away because they have to pickup their Fresh Vegetable game. But I walked in and walked out an hour later! Not because they were so busy;(there was no one in the store) but because my head was spinning from all these different ingredientsI never knew existed. Well the party was a hit and if you want to put on an Asian night at your place, pack a lunch and head on over to,Golden Market of Elgin.

Great place for a multitude of asian groceries. They also sell pre-cooked egg rolls and sesame balls among other items. I wont have to drive to Uptown or Downtown Chinatown for authentic items. Its all there! A hidden gem in Elgin!!
