Sales team was incredibly responsive and transparent when it came to purchasing a vehicle. Finance team was very thorough with paperwork and answered all of my questions. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and happy to assist with anything I needed. Overall, an exceptional experience from research, test drive, all the way through delivery!

Our first call to inquire about a vehicle was not a great first impression. We are seasoned buyers and knowing these things work. After researching a used vehicle online for my son and willing to purchase and pay cash we contacted McGrath. The dealership was an hour drive but we were willing to do it if the price was right, we knew what was fair and willing to pay. First, clearly newer sales person did not do a great job of getting someone who was highly interested in said vehicle to even take down our contact information after she was told they could only drop a bit on the price…basically just said “okay”. Shocked and a bit disappointed I called back and spoke to a sales manager Ray who was willing to work with us and negotiated right on the phone. From that point on it was painless. A few hours later we drove in, test drove and signed the paperwork to purchase. All done in the matter of 2hours! Glad I called back but man they need to do some better training with their new sales staff. Very happy with the new ride!

My sales guy Sujit and Ken was very friendly and took care of me very nice. Im highly satisfied with their sales department.HOWEVEROne thing you have to watch is their financing department. I traded in my car, but they paid off my old loan about a month after I bought a car from them. I kept getting calls from the bank and my credit almost got affected. It was kinda hard to talk to the financing department and get a call back.

Easily beat the best price in the suburbs for a 2021 Pilot and didnt include destination charge.The whole process was friendly. Sales was very helpful and builds long-term relationships.

I enjoy going to this dealership. This is not the closest one to my house, but I go out of my way because they have the best price for an oil change. People working here are kind, and always get you in and out fast. Definitely would recommend to get your oil changed here! I also purchased tires here (was cheaper than going to Costco!).

I just bought my car on 8/13/2021. I had such a great experience that I wanted to leave a review. My sales representative was Mike Malak. He was absolutely amazing! He was very nice, honest, not pushy, and I saw that his interest was to help me find a car that fits my needs. I had told him that I will come back to look at the car with my mom, he was very understanding and was NOT pushy with trying to sell me the car that minute. I did come back and decided to buy the car. After I bought it, he even spent the time to help me learn about the features of the car and how to connect my cell phone to the car. A few days later he even called me to let me know that they have found the second key to the car and that he had sent the owners manual to my email. I even had a great experience during the process of signing the paperwork for the car. David Pounds was very kind and provided me with lots of information about whether buying extra warranty would be in my interest. To be honest, I was shocked how smooth the process was and it was even fun which is typically not associated with buying a car. I would highly recommend McGrath Honda in Elgin. I felt that they were not just trying to sell me a car but that they understood that this is big purchase and I need to feel comfortable with it.

We scheduled an appointment to inquire about placing an order for a new vehicle and throughout the week they made sure that we were in touch.When we got to the dealership we were welcomed in and then immediately sat down to talk about the details. Our team member who helped us out tremendously was Omar Munoz. He gave us full transparency in what was available given the current car supply situation relative to what we were looking for. He didnt try to force us to buy something else and fully acknowledged the spec that we wanted. While we were there, we test drove and experienced some Honda models to find what was best for us.Ultimately we were unable to get the car in the spec that we wanted simply due to the supply chain shortages and production wait times. They were willing and eager to keep in touch in case things changed. However, I still had a great experience and would definitely come back to purchase a car here in a more ideal situation.

Came in for an oil change Roberto helped take care of that but technician A.Katz forgot to put the engine cap back on after the oil change.As i drove off home i realized the car was making more noise than usual so i pop the hood and i see the oil cap broken by the hood latch and oil spilled everywhere. very frustrating moment.I called in and Jason Goldman did an good job making sure this mistake was taken care of.Make sure you double check everything is in place before leaving the lot.

Setup and appointment to view a car after being a victim of a total loss accident. I was a bit frustrated and honestly tired of looking at cars. Most dealerships I went to were adding on packages and a bunch of accessories that I didn’t absolutely need. Ultimately I ended up leaving those dealerships. The new/used car market is terribly inflated and I constantly felt the pressure of needing a car because of location. Luis at McGrath of Honda in Elgin was beyond a help. His disposition was very refreshing in comparison to what I’d been dealing with. I got the car I needed and wanted with out all the rigmarole of a tradition sales transaction.

This is one of the only dealerships that is still willing to quote an out the door price without actually stepping in the door. Luis and Mohammed made the experience easy and fast. Thumbs up.

I have been coming to get my oil changed since 2017 and I never experienced such a terrible service from the service associate to the service manager. They blamed me for having a quick fix on my oil pan assembly which i have not even touch it since i bought the vehicle, the only hands that have touched the oil pan is their own auto technicians. I had to get the part myself because it i had them do it i was going to take 3 days to get plus an extra $400 for a part. They are rude and not understanding at all. They did the damaged and I had no choice to fix my vehicle with them because I couldn’t drive it from their shop. I had to pay for their damage . Please pay attention to every time they service your car.

Zane Martinez was a very helpful salesman when buying my new car, he was extremely understanding with our budget and kept trying to help us and do his best on his part. My husband and I bought a used car. I noticed damage to the drivers side rear bumper. Anthony, the salesperson, said they would fix that. They kept the car for 3 weeks and gave us a loaner. They couldnt give us a date that the car would be ready. They then said that they were waiting for a part for the air conditioning compressor. We didnt even know that the air conditioning wasnt working. We picked up the car with the damaged bumperr NOT FIXED. They didnt give us any paperwork about what was done to the car and the bumper is still dented which is what they were originally supposed to fix! I called Anthony... No return phone call. Then Jim who answers the phones suggested I leave a message for a used car manager. There was still no returned phone call. I called back and Jim said to give him an hour and he will have a used car manager call me back... Still nothing. Its been about a week and Im still waiting! It seems like once they get your money, they want nothing to do with you! Dont buy a car from them.

Please be careful at this dealer. I went to this dealer for a tire rotation, the car was presented to me as finished however I noticed that they did not do their job. Prior to the rotation I have marked the tires, the markings were still in the same spots(on the same sides). I have done this due to the last time that also not rotating my tires although I have paid for the service. I told a person this finding and they told me that I am wrong, and that I’ll need to pay for this service again. Once showed they pictures they finally did their job. My husband has a Toyota and has never ran into these issues at his dealership.

Weve been customers of McGrath Honda Elgin for well over a decade. At a recent service appointment they made us an offer on our trade in that we couldnt refuse and we upgraded our 2012 Odyssey to a 2022. Dan made the process painless, took time to answer our questions and followed up. We now live at least 30 minutes away and have other Honda dealerships closer to our home but we know ever time we go to McGrath well be taken care of with respect and fairness.

I was happy with the service I received. What I expected to be a small problem turned into a big problem that made my car not drivable. The Service Department had to order parts and keep my car overnight, so they gave me a loaner.

If I could give them 0 Stars I would. I did business with McGrath for years until 2019 when I leased my next car. It has been a train wreck from the deal to the service to the attitude to the way they treat customers.I will no longer buy any vehicles from them but I continued with the service because I had certain services at no charge available to me. Today was my last visit to the service department as well.I took my car in for an oil change and when I got in the car it stunk like cigarette smoke or a dirty ashtray. I went to the service desk and mentioned it and they sprayed febreze and it to cover up the odor. Seriously. I figured it would go away but as I was driving during the afternoon the smell was overwhelming. I called the service manager, Anthony, who did nothing but offered another spray of febreze. I asked how they handled cleaning upholstery on trade-ins and he said they dont do anything to the upholstery, makes you think twice about buying a used car from there doesnt it??? I then asked for the general manager, and left my phone number but a big surprise they never called back.So now I have a stinky car that is disgusting and the dealership that lost not only my business but my kid business as well. Thats 3 cars and Im letting you all know in the hopes that you also dont go there.I look forward to my next car at a dealership that isnt McGrath.

All the employees of McGrath greeted me and offered assistance throughout my entire experience, down to opening the door every time I walked it in our out.The dealership was very clean the cars were all of high quality and the prices were more than competitive with cars in a 200 mile radius of my house. The employees were all very respectful and very competent in their respective jobs. The dealership went the extra mile to address all my concerns including some after the sale without any hassles. They were very respectful of my limited available time and moved swiftly with me to complete the buying transaction and were quick to address all of my concerns.I would highly recommend searching their inventory and making the drive if you are looking for a quality new or used Honda from a high volume professional Honda dealer.

First off this year I tried buying two cars from two different dealerships. Both deals felt through because both cars was lemons with a band aid put on it. Meaning, the car will ride good enough until the deal went through with the bank then afterwards the check engine light will come on. Well long story this car lot is awesome. I was put into a low miles, nicely fully loaded cr-v. Car runs excellent. The whole staff from the sales men to managers and service people have excellent customer service. Service department not good. Went to get misfire checked on my 2004 Odyssey and was charged $100 for diagnostic without telling what the problem was. On other hand they wanted to sell me their parts for $1200so to give me proper diagnosis.They stated that I put on aftermarket coils and plugs and that were no good without even testing them. They have these young mechanics who dont have any knowledge. I think they like to fix the easy stuff, like do oil change or change wiper blades. Take your car somewhere else if you want to get it diagnosis of any issue, I dont think they have proper training and will charge you for nothing.

Friendly service and a good price. Pay attention to your accessories cost and should come out a winner. Very happy with the service and quality product.

I wish I could give 0 stars. At the time I went to this dealership I was just turning 19 I was looking for a way to treat myself during a time of crisis. My parents werent in my life so I went looking for a car. I went to this car lot looking for a Chrysler 300s that they can showed on the website and was for a reasonable price. I talked to a dealer and told them I was looking to buy that car but all of a sudden the car wasnt there anymore. I tried to leave the dealership but the dealer assured me Id find a car Id like and brought me a car that I immediately fell in love with. I asked the dealer I was talking to for the car facts and I kept getting the Run around like they didnt exist, I then asked the dealer I was working with was there any prior accidents or anything I should worry about and the dealer said no. I asked a dealer that I wasnt working with to pull up the carfax on the car not telling him I was looking to buy it and the car had been through 4 accidents and the car was horribly damaged. It drove nicely there wasnt anything I could find wrong with the car. At least until I paid for it and left. Every time I got in the car the odometer would sky rocket as if the car was adding miles even when it was parked. The next day after the check engine light came on I called the dealership and they told me no refunds and me living in Chicago they said the tow cost would be over 400 dollars. I later found out that the odometer and the lights on the car were reset to appear like the car was perfect but it was all a lie I finally got the car towed to the dealership 3 weeks after purchase and I was told I had to pay over 2500 dollars to repair the car via dealership . The car ended up being so much of a head ache I had to get rid of it. I would never recommend this dealership if you are looking for a car DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP.

I spent three nights searching for a place to go to buy a car from. My cousin bought an used car a month and a half ago and paid in full. Until today, they have failed to give her the title. She has made many phone calls and even talked to the manager and they always come up with an excuse. Now, the provisional license has expired and the car is useless park in her garage. They don’t know what they are doing. Awful Customer Service always telling her that they will call back and they never do.

Honda in Elgin was a great experience for me. I went in alone; very intimidated by doing this process without help on my side. But if you walk in being honest with what you are looking for, they truly are their to help. Raul was an absolute gem to work with and he made me feel incredibly comfortable. First off I never liked the process of buying vehicles due to haggling. But! A couple days ago I had a positive experience with a very nice sales man Al Hansana. We talked over the sale of a vehicle I was interested in and Al was not close minded, pushy and just trying to make a sale. He listened to my requests and made it possible to take my vehicle in for a trade in at a decent price and now Im satisfied with my new 2021 Honda Accord. Shefket, our salesman, was amazing. Incredibly personable and made the entire process easy. Greg was also incredibly personable and informative. He carefully explained all our warranty options so we fully understand what we chose.
