I love this store for many reasons, 1. the space 2. the selection of products, 3. Kindness of staff, 4 the ventilation and fresh air is great.However, the one thing I noticed, is the lake right next to the store is littered by passerbys on the road. The lake is a beautiful thing, the first thing I see when coming to the store. I wish there was a cleanup. If you do come to store, please visit the lake and help out. Thank you.I dont believe the lake is owned by the store.

I absolutely love this store. We are renovating a house and I went into the paint section and Frank could not have been any more helpful. My husband had given me a list of things to get and Frank grabbed them within minutes including mixing my paint for me. A big thank you, this store never disappoints.

Everything in the store is laid out backwards compared to all the other Menards I go to... Super annoying! But good people, and decent selection

Recently I inadvertently left my cell-phone in the electrical department. Employee was especially helpful in helping me locate it. Pics show recent home improvement.

Building is a bit large. However, there are many, many items. Every department was well presented (items were well laid out) and there were many signs to help locate products.

Always enjoy a good Menards experience. Most of the time I find them to have competitive pricing and they also usually ave the 11% off rebate event, helps to save money if you go to Menards a lot. Great place

Very interesting store. Had a lot of selections for many home projects. Also, there were many helpful attendants in the plumbing and electrical departments, to name just a few.

I found the Central Air Unit cover that I was looking for. It is of nice quality, thick vinyl and large enough that its not snug. They have round and square. Time to clean the leaves out and cover the unit.

I needed to move a large treadmill across town from my Mom’s house. I decided to rent a pickup truck and an appliance dolly from this Menard’s and they made it so easy! Went in first thing in the morning when they opened at 6 am, and MaryAnne was very helpful in explaining everything and getting me the truck. And when I came back to return the truck and dolly, Jose was great as well. The process was seamless from start to finish. And cheap as well! It cost me less than $30 to have the truck and dolly for 2-and-a-half hours. Can’t beat that. I will definitely be back in the future if I need to use a truck again. Thank you, Menards!

Never had a use for Menards .. wasnt the handy type of girl .. until recently both visits yes were exceptional customer service from the beginning to the end .. Today I went just for a can of paint and was treated like royalty in the paint area by Fernando and his coworker.. they answered every question .. even the ones they didnt know they found out ... made me spend 98 dollars hahaha i live in Rockford but will always travel to this Menards

Forgot my mask today and as soon as i walked in i pulled my sweater over my mouth and nose and was approached by an aggressive teen telling me to put my mask on. I said i didn’t need one this was effective and they basically stalked me while i was in the store talking in the earpiece saying i needed to be escorted out! how ridiculous and unacceptable. menards is a communist store falling in line to control and harass its patrons. i will find my simple bag of dog food elsewhere.

They make it super easy to find things, Isles are labeled and the store is big and smells great. I especially like the employees at every store I go to.

I went to see the automotive tool selection and it was very small. Mainly just Master Force brand. They seemed like they were poorly made. Other than that the store seemed decent.

Ordered retaining wall blocks, caps and manufactured wood planks on 8/6/2020 to have raised garden built. Elgin store didnt have caps bit said Woodstock has them. On 8/15, called Woodstock store to confirm caps were in stock. Yes, we have them. My landscaper drives 45 minutes to Woodstock store. Store staff looks, and reports that they dont have the caps in stock. That is 3 hours of his time, and we are back to square one. Project was supposed to be completed yesterday for an upcoming baby shower. Menards, you are totally inept and a HUGE disappointment. I then went to Home Depot yesterday. They had the 60 blocks and 60 caps I need, but now the project cant be done until next weekend. Im quite upset!

Menards is usually kind of a pain to get help and when you get it its not always the best. Literally had a lady tell me no when I asked if she knew where something was, and then she went back to work lol! Now when Im here I look for Juan working in hardware. Hell literally stop talking to an employee mid sentence and hop to help you. Hes an older guy who knows a lot about how to not screw up. Hes given me great purchase advice and installation tips as well.

Both my husband and I are high risk for covid and going into Menards was our first outing for nonperishable items and we were both impressed with the precautions set in place. Having everybody wearing face mask. Having aisles marked for direction and having wipes for carts. We were comfortable enough to shop for what we needed. We have both family and friends that have had the virus and sadly have known some loss.

Attention menards corporate please change this store before someone get injured They force truck drivers to back into the gate without the help of employees guiding if you ask for help the scream at you and tell you that if you don’t back into the gate you can just leave and they will not sign load refused in order to make it into the gate you have to back across a busy drive risking hitting customers cars

Been going to this place for over twenty plus years, have never been asked more than a few times if I ever needed help finding anything, always looking like everyone is busy than hell, when sometimes hardly anyone there!

This store is usually great for the selection they carry. It has been so busy for them the last couple of weeks. They are sold out of so much stuff including a majority of plants.

Wanted to order online for curbside pickup and was told i had to pay a 10% premium. No thanks Menards.Never had to pay a premium at any other store while covid 19 is going on.

Store has been wonderful for years. Amazing service everywhere in the store except the horrible customer service with the front desk. Blonde Female front desk manager is exceptionally rude with no curtesy. Will lie and laugh in your face when you ask the store to follow their policy. A simple no would suffice.

The truck renting is not that good. They take time to take the truck back and charge you for that time. Also, only two computers work so if you get the wrong computer, they asked you to go back in line. Good luck!

The store is clean and well managed. It is a tad on the big side so you might need to ask for help to find what youre looking for. For the most part, the employees are very courteous and knowledgeable. The cashiers too, and the courtesy patrol is very good with their job. Overall, a good place to shop.

Clean efficient location with a decent size garden section connected to the lumber and outdoor side of the store. Multiple.checkout areas. Store is well stocked and well marked. Parking lot can be a bit of an adventure die to its narrow aisles and equally narrow frontage.

Went in to the store looking for a part to replace a noisy section in the toilet, found an upgrade kit to change the standard toilet to a dual flush ( up for fluid, down for solid) for under $22.00 !And hey, if it doesnt work, hubby will be going back to get the universal kit that was only $13 :)

Ashley and Mike that work by building materials are hands down the best employees in this place. I’m at this location multiple times a week and they both help me every time while the other guys just stare at eachother seeing who is gonna offer services first. They both deserve promotions. I’ll keep bringing my business to this location just for quality customer service they provide.

It’s a nice please where they have materials and tools,people are friendly and helpful.employees are knowledgeable and polite but, i wish they would stop overcharging for the items that they sell and making millions by over charging customer 11% more than the actual price, they claim that they will give it back in a a form of a check or store credit but, what do they do with the money that it goes unclaimed when the amount to be claimed is less than the mailing stamp? or when the customers are unfamiliar with the system of claiming the 11% store credit?Now, why would i have to be forced to purchased 11% more than what i actually need ?the store credit is a check that one can only cash it at the menards stores.i prefer to buy where the price reflects the item value.

Friendly staff. I minused a few stars because the last 2 times I have been there, Ive had to wait minimum 15 minutes trying to pick up items in the backyard. I saw 4 employees looking at each other today and not 1 of them asked me if I needed help. When I started walking toward them, they scattered.

Nicely stocked garden center. We easily found everything we needed. We didnt even have to ask for someone to help us get heavy mulch bags into the car. The staff was polite, knowledgable

I came into contact with 3 employees in the store today. The first one had a great suggestion on how to solve my problem and walked to the location of the item. The second was a pleasant cashier who offered me extra bags so the bricks I bought could sit on top of them rather than in my car. The third guy was the cart guy he saw me loading bricks and helped me without asking and then returned my cart ...Wow! Amazing experience top to bottom. Thats rare these days thats why I love my Menards!

Had trouble getting two pieces of 2×4 PLYWOOD out of the rack. Two Menards employees noticed and give me a hand. This is the service we can expect when shopping at Menards.
