Very happy with our fence. The process from the estimates, permit, fence work and payment went smoothly. Angel was very responsive for all our questions and village fence requirements. Once the permit was approved, the fence work was very quick and we’re happy with how everything turned out!

This company is the best. they did such an amazing job with a tricky layout. they put in a new woodland brown trex fence around my home that is just beautiful. Such attention to detail, very professional and hard working. Juan, Jesus and his crew genuinely care for quality and satisfaction of the customer and take a lot of pride in their work. I purchased a fence from Fence Connection. The cheap top cap 1/2 cedar warped and the stain flaked off the top. I asked to have them remove and replace it with something thicker (willing to pay). The salesman came out months ago and never sent a quote. I texted and called him numerous times and he promised to get to me. Months later no quote, no repairs made etc.Unhappy customer!

We went with Fence Connection because they had the best price and had done quality work at other properties in our neighborhood. We have a great looking, functional fence and we are quite happy with it, I only wish the process could have gone a bit smoother. Would I hire them again? No, I will likely pay more for better customer service/professionalism next time.Note: In their defense, it was a crazy summer. I know they had a hard time getting materials in the wake of Covid. We ended up having to wait a couple months longer than anticipated. Thats not something they can control. What Fence Connection can control and do better at: Communication, Organization, Professionalism.1) Timeliness: From the beginning, they were not great about keeping appointment times. We would schedule estimates, meetings, etc. and the contractor would often not show up on time. I work from home, so I cant just suddenly drop what Im doing because youre running early/late. On top of this, they often gave almost no warning time regarding when they would be showing up to work. This project required someone to be here, and participation from my neighbors, so the lack of timeliness here really added to the stress on the customer.2) Communication: We often had no idea what the status of the project/installation was. As the customer, we had to track someone down to get an answer. Delays, etc. were not communicated to us. A simple text or email saying materials are delayed because of Covid, we wont be able to start for at least a month would have saved a bunch of time and headaches.3) Organization: Everytime we gave them important information regarding the project (surveys, permits, requirements, etc.) it would become lost -- and wed end up having to repeat, re-send, or redistribute that info to someone else at their office. A lot of time was wasted here because they are seemingly not well organized. On the final day of install, I even waited outside with them in order to make a final payment -- but they simply drove away! Then I received clueless calls in the weeks that followed inquiring about my balance.5) Professionalism: This was the most sour note. If this hadnt happened, I probably wouldnt have even written this review. When the job was done, the workers packed up and drove off -- no goodbye, no final walk-through or inspection. Nothing. I stood there in the driveway with a check ready to hand over, and they simply drove off. As I looked over their work, I noted fence posts with installation notes written in black sharpie, as well as piles (and I mean PILES) of plastic scraps and shavings littering my yard. I had to spend the next 1-2 hours cleaning up the yard, or risk my dog ingesting the plastic pieces.Now, I totally understand that jobs like this can be messy. What I dont get is the lack of consideration. Why not chop all the plastic in the truck bed? Or in my garage (which I gave them access to)? Why not take some pride in your work, spend a little extra time, and clean up after yourselves? Instead, they took the lazy option and left a huge mess of plastic garbage.

I called about two weeks ago to schedule a time for a sales person to come out and give me an estimate on a fence. I was told they would be out at 4:00 on May 24th. I called today an hour after my appointment time to find out where the sales person was at. The lady on the phone tells me the sales person I was scheduled to meet with isn’t even in the office this week. I explained that no one called to tell me that or move my appointment. She went to look for my name and couldn’t even find me. I would NOT recommend this company.

Thanks for destroying my vegetable garden while doing my neighbor fence. That speeks alot about your company, its rude and unprofessional.

Juan came out and gave me an estimate right on the spot. He was upfront with me that it would take a month to gather materials which was also the case from other estimators I spoke with. Went with Fence Connection due to the quality work Ive seen in the neighborhood and the competitive pricing. I am very happy with the results. When the materials arrived they had the holes dug, posts installed and fence was up the same day! Jose and his team were quick and efficient and easy to talk to. They were quick to address a couple minor fixes I brought to their attention. I highly recommend and would do business with them again. Thank you Fence Connection!

We had this company install the original fence 12 years ago with very satisfying results. Having recently adopted a dog, we were in need to have the remaining open portion of yard enclosed. After the sale, Martines worked very hard and pushed (even with the current manufacturing and logistic challenges) to secure the product we ordered. On Saturday, Francisco and Francisco did a great job installing our fence. Very professional, helpful and worked very hard to complete the task. Vey happy with the experience and outcome.

I needed my fence repaired after it had to be partially taken down and they were able to come out to my house and make it right. It looks like it was never taken down again. I am so thankful for the quick service from them. Any time I need help with my fence they are the only company I will call! The people that I dealt with were so nice, the were all just wonderful. It was a great experience!

A zero star would be preferred. Please do not use this company! They are only professional when they are quoting your job, once you pay a deposit that is where it ends. We had a fence install in 2019 because we needed one to meet the pool requirements as we were putting in a new pool and our current fence didnt meet the requirements. Fence gets installed and I notice a dent in the top rail of the fence. After 3 phone calls and a week and a half later I finally got someone to come look at it. 3 more weeks go by with numerous phone calls to get it fixed, and finally it gets done. Fast forward June 6th 2020, when i fail my pool inspection because the fence does not meet the swimming pool code requirements. I immediately call them and speak to the receptionist, was told to give them a day to pull up everything and they would call me back. didnt hear back for a week, call back and ask to speak with the owner. Receptionist tells me that he is in a meeting and he will call me back after. Never hear back. Call the next day receptionist tells me that they are going to have to come out and give me a quote to fix it, and that the owner can get out on Saturday two weeks away. I say that is unacceptable as I have already been calling for weeks and I would like to speak to the owner. Receptionist again tells me he is in a meeting. This time the receptionist calls me back after his meeting and says he will be sending me a quote tomorrow. it has been 3 weeks no quote, last Saturday was the scheduled day for a quote and no one came.I am a project manager at low voltage company, I deal with the same thing they do on a day to day basis, and I would like everyone to know this is not how you should be treated by your contractor. These are not normal things that should be happening. Clients should be taken care of in a timely manner, and if the company/ one of its employees messes up that is on the company not you the homeowner. Please stay away from this company, as I would really hate to see someone else posting a story like this.

Our vinyl fence posts needed to be reset. Bob the salesman and Oscar in the office stayed in touch during weather delays. Big kudos to Mr. Escobar and his crew for the great job!

Truck broke down on my street in front of my driveway. Been here for 4 days now. Called to ask if it can get removed and buddy hung up on me. MOVE THE DAMN TRUCK

We put a down payment on a fence and we’re told they would be out to put it up in a week. They never showed up 😡😡. We were pushed to a later date and was not notified until I called and asked where they were. Thanks for the heads up....

Great fence company they took down and hauled away old fence. New fence installed in just two days the crew was awesome cleaned up very well definitely recommend this company.

Edit on 11/2/2020: Now that the fence is completed and has all the missing pieces put in that was missing, the fence looks much better and adheres to the HOA.The communication with this company was subpar. I always had to check in to see when the estimated project start date would be. When the project was completed, it wasnt completed just like the salesman said it would be. I have an HOA, so the fence has to be exactly to specifications. If I had to do this project over again, I wouldnt use Fence Connection again.

Contacted four times to get an estimate on replacing old wood fence with vinyl. Three requests were online, and one via phone when I did not hear back. It’s been about three weeks with no response. I can’t seem to give away my money to The Fence Connection. I’m disappointed by the lack of customer service and waste of time. While they may do good work, I will never know the difference. Hopefully they can make some changes with their system to avoid losing other potential customers.

Had an excellent composite fence installed by the company out in Hanover Park, the crew was very clean and precise with their installation and got the job done in one day. I was very impressed and would recommend them to anyone in the Chicago land area.

Hats off to Forman Jose and team tearing down and installing our new beautiful red cedar arched fence! They were all so friendly, professional, informative and precise on all the measurements as our backyard was complex. We had slopes in the yard and forest preserve branches and debree to deal with. They did an exceptional job and would recommend them to anyone in the Chicagoland area. First class- 5 star rating!

Fence Connection replaced a 100 foot long fence for us. We have a four foot deep garden right up to the fence along the entire length. Our neighbors have a smaller garden on their side. Some damage was inevitable, but the workers kept it minimal. We are so happy that our gardens survived so well. The workers were polite, careful, hard working and very professional.

They came out and put a new padlock on our fence even after four years since our in install at no cost. Great service, wonderful customer service. We used them for two separate fences and if we have a need for a third fence, guess who were calling? Yep, Fence Connection!

The guys who installed the Fence have done an excellent job. No issues there. However they didnt inform me that I have to get an approval from the village so they can order the fence from the manufacturer.After I make the advance payment, i didnt hear anything from them so I ended up calling my self and found out that I need the approval from village which delayed the work for few weeks.

We had them out for an estimate and they were the most reasonable. Cindy kept in touch with us as to when the weather would be ok to start our fence. They were out exactly when she said they would be. We had our fence completed in 2 days. It looks beautiful. They were very easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

They arrived on time and installed the Ultra Fence with key locks with auto close gates.They doubled checked with us to make sure what was being done was what we wanted.Meaning position of the gates and post holes locations. When work was completed theyhauled away all the old concreate and excess dirt. Good work !

I would like to see ratings that are specific and worthwhile.So much of the ratings are diluted blather, friends of the co, people with nothing to do. The two ratings posted are totally diametrically opposed to each other. Therefor give no indication of this companys worth. This now will at least bring their rating to average...so call them yourself and find out.

Im on my third call to them as I have had no return calls from the first to attempts. He came to my house last year and gave me an estimate for a nice looking gate.If they ever get back to me, I think itll be a nice gate. This is weird.

Dont waste your time with this company. I scheduled an appointment to have someone come out and do an estimate. 30 minutes after the appointment time- no call, no show, so I called the company to see what was going on. The receptionist didnt seem surprised that he hadnt shown up and didnt apologize that my time had been wasted, so I just asked her to cancel the appointment. Ill take my business elsewhere since its apparently not important to show up.

The owner came over gave us an amazing estimate for doing 2 full walls and 2 gates on our house. Not only did the pricing win us over, they had our fence up all finished up 1 week after we signed the contract. Not 4 weeks like other fence companies (and more expensive)

Contacted for a quote, never recieved one, much less heard from anybody. Only thing we ever got was an automated email response a month later say thank you for your inquiry, hope we were helpful guess I will be having my fence done by another company!

Zero Stars - Over the phone, for what I wanted, they told me it would be $15.50/ft, but they needed to schedule a sales rep to come out and give an estimate. He was 30 min late when I called to confirm I had the correct time. I did and they said someone would be about 15 more minutes. Overall he was 45 min late and then gave me a quote that was $25.33/ft. The cost jumped from $1260 to $1900. The only numbers on the quote where the total cost, deposit and balance amounts. I guess he was assuming I would pay on the spot? It didnt happen. They also wanted me to get permits as if I was a general contractor.

My experience with Fence Connection has been a perturbing one. The estimate was fine, but ever since then there have been problems. I have never posted a review, on anything, but this was worthy of a review. I called them to tell them I was going to hire them, and did not get a call back. 4 days later, I emailed them- again no call. Then I called once more, and they finally acknowledged my request. Now, today, I was supposed to meet with my salesperson, at 10 a.m. At 10:05, I got a call saying he would not be able to make it. I understand not being able to make an appointment, but I do NOT understand calling me AFTER the appointment time to tell me that! Unacceptably bad service.
