The Eliot Meat Market was a staple growing up, grabbing some food and drinks after skating all day with friends. Stopped by for old times sake and really wish I hadnt. Definitely not the most sanitary sandwich making going on behind the counter, really should wear gloves or at least not touch your hair and face before food prep. Come to find out its under different ownership which explains why its not what I remember. Its a shame to see as well as the skate park being abandoned.

I’m a local with a background in culinary and will say pizza comes in many forms. And not everyone likes every type of pizza. But in my opinion, the pizza I had last night was the best pizza in Eliot by far!!! I hope it’s like that every time.

Google maps has it spelt wrong, Eliot “meat” market when it is actually meet market. I tried the Italian sub and it was not too bad. The prices are relatively low and it seems like a quaint, family run store. They are also a pizzeria and I’ll have to try their pizza on my way back through.

Cute little store. With friendly staff. Good place to stop and grab a quick bite to eat. Subs, burgers and pizza are all awesome!

First lets just start by asking what everyone wants to know, how has this dump not been shut down by health inspectors yet. Food is not fresh, they dont wear gloves, when i ordered a sandwich the guy pulls out a bucket and pulled some gross looking stuff out, and they dont have a sign of what they have for food. Ive seen an older man working there that made a sexual gesture to a woman behind her back. They are very over priced and i got a milk when i went in there and it was exspired. and it was If your in eliot i suggest you just order from sabinas in eliot commons. They deliver and food is amazing and not over priced. The eliot meat market is just a terrible place all around.

The owner is the must rudest person Ive ever dealt with. His rude, unprofessional attitude is the reason I would never go into that store again. Not to mention he items is purchased elsewhere and charges an outrageous markup.
