I got everything I needed from Wal-Mart today no problem at all.

I am not sure why there are never enough registers open. I see associates walking around, when they should have them on a register to help speed up checkout. What should be a 20 minute trip turns into a 45 minute wait in line.

Pretty much the go to store for most general goods, specialized items such as vehicle accessories or workshop tools can be found here as well, but there isnt much variety, if there are any at all, so youll want to go to a specialized store for certain goods such as musical instruments or technological hardware like computer components.Dont count on the employees to have any extensive knowledge regarding certain topics, and most of the managers and employees tend to be busy but will attempt to help regardless of whether you ask for their help or not.Either way, its pretty much a necessity to visit this place once in a while.

This is by far the most poorly run pharmacy department of any of the 5 Walmarts Ive ever patronized. They were inexplicably closed at 1:20pm, with the windows shuttered and no signs posted. I went back to my car to call and check the hours, and I got a fax machine signal when I pressed the number for store hours. I called and got the same fax signal two times, then, I selected the speak with an associate option, and I got a recording saying that the pharmacy would re-open at 2pm. I can somewhat understand being short-staffed and needing to close for lunch, but not posting signs or having the phone menu set up to function properly is unacceptable.

Staff is super friendly. Ive lived in many states and this has to be one of the cleanest Walmarts Ive been too. Although the veggie department is lacking, they make up for it in some other areas.

Nice place. Just like any other Walmart. I feel like they never have any Varieties for boy clothes . Hardly ever pants for my boys. Size 5/6 or a size 8.

Please for the love of god WATER THE SUCCULENTS! Its like a plant graveyard. Dying plants everywhere. I will come in and water the plants if you need help.

Store is sufficiently stocked. My only and long lasting complaint is having to stand in a line six deep to check out, both cashiered and self-check, and most of the cashier stations are closed. I have left my full basket and walked out on more than one occasion. If the store is trying to force self-check out then it should be discounted.

Very clean store, although laid out a little different than the stores where I used to live, it wasnt very hard to find what I was looking for. Will stop in when Im in the area again.

Im still baffled by the fact that one of the largest corporations in America cant mitigate massive discrepancies in inventory online vs. in-store.Also, Im not a fan of the permanent business hours modification spawned by COVID. This store is no longer 24-hours, leaving Elizabeth City with one place to shop after-hours: 7-Eleven. Good luck.

Sub was ok the meat wasnt in the sub it was falling and they put too much oh and vinegar made the bread wet

Pickup grocery shopping is good, however they could do better with long wait to bring you your groceries out to you.

Never have electric carts for disabled people. Dont have the items they say they do. I have to travel a long way to get there and then cant get a cart or find what I need.The people working the departments are rude and unknowable. If I could I would give them a zero.

It sure would be nice if theyd open up more than 3-4 cashier registers. Not all of us want to take a $100+ order through self check out, and not all of us have time to sit in a line that is literally backed up into the clothes department for a slower than molasses cashier to check us out.

It was really busy but the store is well organized as well as separated for social distancing while shopping. From what Ive experienced the emplyees are nice as well as helpful.

Usually I have great experiences with Walmart pick up. Today whoever hand picked my order totally over looked the apples they picked out for me. Smelled bad and I hope I can get a refund bc I threw them straight away. Wont be driving 10 minutes back up there today.

I went in to get a snow cone maker. I found one. Asked for help from 3 different employees to locate syrup and was told I dont know without any attempts to even help me. I put everything I had back and went to Target.

Nowhere on your vast directory on google does it say that customer service closes at 9pm. But that’s what the not so helpful door watcher informed me when I brought my neverstart battery back for the second time with my receipt this time from 5-30-21 when I bought it! So now I’ve got to make a third trip (at 50 miles each) because the 9pm to 11pm employees are too ignorant or too busy watching customers do their job (scan and bag groceries) to scan the barcode on the receipt and swap out this battery! I should have ordered it from Amazon!!

This store was in Elizabeth City,North Carolina. Very clean compared to the stores around our area. Nicely set up, employees are extremely pleasant.

I had to order a wheelchair & ordered it from Walmart HUGE MISTAKE I broke my Right ankle 4 places I desperately need the Wheelchair it was sent with 2 Left Legs Im disabled Ive called them 3 times behind this order that I desperately need & they still cant get this 1 order straight This is truly Sad as there are people who are disabled &their families dont live close or they have no family to help them Walmart should be ashamed & should treat their customers better than this. Peoples money spends anywhere when shopping Online I cant drive & Im still stuck without my wheelchair.

Meh. A pretty ghetto-ish Wal-Mart. Mostly empty shelves, stuff everywhere, 1 or 2 registers open, and most of the self-checkouts are broke. The store is super congested, made worse by the 500 Wal-Mart shoppers pushing their huge trolleys through the aisles for pick-up orders. I only go here if I have no other choice, since some things you can only get here and arent able to be shipped.

Nice Walmart. Not super big. Grocery store is smaller then other super Walmarts. Stock can be hit or miss especially on change over day.Staff was friendly enough. Lines where reasonable given the day and time. If you need a walmart on the island this really is your only option. The next closest to the KDH area is Elizabeth city.

Shout out to the employees for dealing with the people from Elizabeth City everyday. People are rude, ill-mannered in this city. Walmart is Walmart just thankful there is one here.

I wish theyd either hire more cashiers, or reopen the self checkout with the belt. For me, its too difficult to self checkout at the smaller stations. This Walmart has 2 large self checkouts that have the conveyer belt- both are always closed for the past several months.

Had to take my groceries in my hand myself you got about eight employees around but just standing around and everybodys so lazy that they cant go bring shopping carts to the grocery side. Here it is about 9:30 at night. August 21st 2021. Its so bad the shopping carts as long all the way to the McDonalds parking lot.

2 lanes open with rude employees. Self check-out open and the ladder seen me with my cash, NO SIGNS, after I rang everything up she looks at me and said NO CASH. Really? I dont like going into Wal-Mart anymore and this experience reminded me why. Only reason I have 2 stars is because I got what I needed.

I shop here. I love this place because everyone is so nice and kind to everyone else. We all care about the customers and we try and help the customers find what they need. If they cant find what they need, then they could buy something on Walmart.com and have it shipped to their home or to our store to pick up.The shelves were bare because of it being Christmas and a lot of the other employees really were trying to get everything up on the shelves for you, the customers.

Lately there has been little to zero cashiers, forcing you to use self check out. If you want me to do the cashiers job, then give me a self check out discount.This is also one of the dirtiest Walmart stores I have been in.

Very much enjoy shopping at this Walmart. The store is always well stocked with the exception of the food section can be over-picked at times but, we manage to find all we need and the prices are considerably less then what I pay in Virginia. There are two Walmarts closer to me then this one and we still would rather come here. Best of all whenever I have gone in all the registers were open and I did not have much of a wait!

It could be just the day or time but between 4:35-5:00 on June 3rd 2021 customer service number had issues with someone picking up and hanging directly up on people. Not once, twice but multiple times. So solution is call to another department within Walmart right? Wrong! Still sent back to customer service for the same thing to happen again Hope this hasnt been occurring to many other people. Totally disappointing...

Always forced to the self checkout because only one or two register a open most of the time. Often, its hard to get down the rows bc stockers are everywhere. At times there out of alot of items quite often.

They dont have a lot of things in Walmart that they used to. Husband went today for string for his weedeater and they dont carry it. They sell weedeaters but no string for them. What the heck???? They have really gone down hill in my opinion. The Walmart that I use in Elizabeth City paint mixer hasnt worked since before Christmas. Have lost a lot of money just from me as I have painted most of the inside of our home in the last 6 months or so. There loss!!!!! LOWES gain!!!

Shelves bare and no staff to help

I traveled for 2 hours to pick up a kayak that stated online, it was in stock. I arrived and the kayak was no where in sight, even after checking the back. I called the next day in the event a truck may have arrived. It took 10 minutes for the store to pick up the phone, I was then transmitted to the Sporting Goods department with no answer, then transmitted back to Customer Service, where I was disconnected by the Customer Care Representive. I am absolutely disgusted and I hope the residences of Elizabeth City find a solution to their poor WalMart. I will never ever return!

I really like Walmart. They have amazing prices and those desserts in the deli department are so good. However, they have the worst produce. They are Walmart. They should do better. I bought grapes and strawberries. They both contained rotten fruit. Im disgusted.

Overall, its a great place with a vast variety of items. Id recommend going here.

While shopping at Walmart Elizabeth City, NC with my children, we were followed 3 separate times by 3 separate employees. It was an obvious coordinated effort to intimidate me and my kids.Each time I was publicly confronted and told loudly in front of other shoppers that I needed to leave the store unless we put on masks. When I informed the employee we have medical reasons to not wear masks, they would leave, only to be replaced a few minutes later by another employee following us and confronting us in the same way.While I understand others wanting to wear a mask, my family has medical conditions where we cannot wear them. We already have dealt with rude and unprofessional comments from this staff simply because of my sons special needs, and now this.I try every time to use the special needs cart to push my son in, but we can never find it. There should be a rule that the special needs cart should always be in a designated spot so families always have access to it.I seriously feel that Walmart should mandate sensitivity training to all of their employees about decorum towards customers. Regardless of Walmart staffs personal beliefs, its no excuse to intimidate customers for theirs. There is no excuse to treat people how we were treated. Walmart Corporate office should ensure that every little town with a local store has employees that know that there are medical and religious reasons to not wear a mask and to always act respectfully and professionally towards customers. Under no circumstances should customers be stalked repeatedly and intimidated like we were.My kids were psychologically affected, especially my special needs son. Out of the 3 employees, not one apologized to us after they learned of our reason.
