Well stocked store. Not too crowded. Friendly staff. Fun shopping trip.

This is a nice store with lots of crafting items. Some things you have to order online because its not in the store. This has happened a few times and therefore I just dont get the items. I really would prefer to go pick up my items instead of waiting for days to have it delivered. Especially when you have to spend a certain amount for free delivery.

Nice peaceful atmosphere. Very quiet,cool, and you can actually think in the store about items you may want versus other store that blare their music to the point you dont want to shop anymore. Went in with my Sister so she could get a few bird houses for our Brothers Birthday as he enjoys painting the houses. I give it a 5 Star Rating because of the atmosphere and the cleanliness of the store. Thanks Michaels✌

Went in just before closing and grabbed a few quick things and also picked up my online order. Staff members were courteous and helpful.

This is one of my favorite places, especially for holiday decorating and framing art work and photos. I love to walk in the front door and see what they are featuring. The store is always hopping. I have had a lot of frames made for old art prints and new. They can take the work and upload it to software on a computer, so you can pick frame and complimentary colors. Framing here is not cheap, but if you want a treasure on your wall, they will help you do it very nicely.

If you cant find it here, please let me know where you can. The mostly do it yourself (DIY) stuff selection if fantastic.

So, youve likely been to a Micheals arts & crafts store and this seems to be another cookie cutter(those are on aisle 6, baking area) of the big chain. I love going to Micheals especially during the sales, which you can sign up to get notifications about. I give this particular store a four star because it is smaller than others Ive been to and so doesnt carry as much. During my last visit I noticed they were completely understaffed with only two employees running the entire place, which meant there was no one left to help on that floor. At a time of historic unemployment, its hard to imagine they cant find employees, however, its always a fun place to go to and despite having to wait in a long line, getting art supplies at discount is well worth the trip.

This was my 3rd store I went tonight to find the color I wanted. I got one pound Caron yarn awhile back but no longer have a label or remember the color name. Thank goodness this store still carries this color! Yay and color I need is country rose! Making a long cardigan so in case I ran out of yarn. Working on the collar and Ill be done. 😊 Love this store!A suggestion is it will be nice this yarn comes in a smaller size too. Instead of only a full one pound, possibly 7 oz?

This store is very compact; makes it kinda hard to find anything without a personal assistant.

I love coming here because they always have good deals.Also, not to mention after a horrible visit to Joanns where they sold me a used machine I decided to come to Michaels to purchase the same exact machine at a higher price value since Michaels wasnt able to price match. TO MY SURPRISE, they had the machine I was intentionally vigorously looking for, the Silhouette Cameo 3. I got my machine at such a steal price. I know its not the exact cameo 4 but the cameo 3 has been to hard to find so I am glad Michaels had it in stock.

Understaffed so long waits. Parking lot is shares with Target so car traffic is a nightmare.

The Female Employee helping us with pic frames was so helpful and polite. I wouldve gave them 5stars but the other Employees werent so friendly when I was looking for button pins and couldnt find it.

I did a curbside order pickup here of a cricut item. They gave me one that was clearly used and returned, there was dog hair in the box, amongst other things, they are not supposed to take returns of opened/use cricut items and clearly didn’t catch this. Don’t do order pick up here, check items thoroughly before leaving.

Michaels is a craft store on steroids. Anything you can imagine needing for crafting, creating, etc., is here, including a million things you could never foresee needing, ever. With so much stuff, its a good place to get inspiration on your projects. They have great sales and coupons as well. We went the day before Halloween and all Halloween stuff was 75% off.

Busy and horrible customer service. They were not helpful and didnt even acknowledge me as I waited by the counter to ask a question. At least acknowledge your customers and to let them know youll be right with them.

I love Michaels because they have so many choices of arts and crafts. And their store is always nice and clean. And the managers there are great with the public.

Took my granddaughter to get some paints to do a project. Was originally going to Hobby Lobby, but it wasnt open so took her to Michaels and luckily it was open and she was able t get her paint.

One of my favorite craft stores to shop.When I come here I always find what Im looking for. They do have plenty of selection of your craft needs. You like to draw, sew, DYI? Go there! They got your covered! Plus there is always some sort of sale going on so u get decent pricing as well!

Fun to shop around/just browse but today my daughter just went in for just one item in particular (but had to look around for it for a bit). 1) They are REALLY on the prompt/friendly greeting every time, the second you set foot in the store. Probably to deter shoplifting LOL but maybe want to carry that enthusiasm/service over a bit into the while customers are IN the store and looking for something but cant locate an employee in the aisles... 2) In the bathroom... larger stall (the other was in use, before you get all judge-y). LOVE that they have a purse hanger at all - so many places dont. But can you PLEASE move the purse hanger to high enough up on the door that any regular purse doesnt hang down so low that anyone could literally walk in, boost it up an in or 2, grab it and run? 3) LOVE that you can (almost always) find and use the 40-50% off coupon from the website on any device and use it by scanning at the register. Yes, the list of excluded items is a bit long, but... still. GREAT value when you can use it, which is most of the time... and if you have an especially awesome cashier and theres not a long line behind you, they will let you ring items in multiple transactions and use the same scanned coupon (since its NOT single use but is one per transaction) more than once. Especially for projects, or school supplies, or GS troop supplies, was an ESPECIALLY awesome value.

Jacqueline in the framing section was an outstanding help and great at her job. Great experience. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars and not 5 is they didnt have enough help for all of the customers in the store. It took quite a while to get someone to help me.

Always loved going to Micheal. Perfect place to flex your creativity. Recently took my family here for a FREE slim event. Staff is always friendly and... Well... Cant go wrong

There are really just two choices for larger craft supply stores in Elk Grove. Michaels is a better choice if you need assistance ( and dont want to wait 30 minutes for someone to show up), want to check out faster, or find what you need in stock. If you have A LOT of time to waste, the other place would be fine.

Variety of great products. Just no assistance from employees when you lost and looking for something, all they do is either point or tell you an aisle you should go look from, even if youve already looked and found nothing. The employees dont accompany you to help look, they are more concerned with doing their assigned task

Great place for your arts and crafts needs

I love Michael they have all kinds of craft items its a smaller craft store not as much as Hobby Lobby but I still like this Michaels because its clean the shelves are always stocked you dont go in looking for something and they never have it I usually go get baking products because I like to bake and stencils and craft paper. So no matter what youre looking for you probably could find it at Michaels and it is in the shopping center where Target and Baby Depot I believe it is and a whole bunch of other shopping stores restaurants and fast food joints.

I absolutely love michaels! So many great items for every time of the year. I’m bummed that the price went up on canvas but otherwise, they are still A plus in my book!

How was Michaels? Its hell on Earth. My wife drags me there. But this one was neat and pretty clean and the employees seemed cool.

I LOVE this store. They have everything you need for the art and craft. They even have classes like cake decorating and so forth. If you need floral arrangement they also do it as you desire. The prices are moderate but in one store you can find anything you like

Store is overcrowded. Its hard to find what youre looking for. Employees werent very helpful. I ordered something online that had multiple in stock. I went in an hour and a half after I ordered it, because I hadnt gotten an email about it. The girl that does the online orders was rude. She told me that it could take 3 hours for them to pull my order and there were 33 people in front of me. I asked her if I could just get the items myself and still get them for the online price. She told me shed have to ask and left. She came back and told me no because the order wasnt in their system yet. She had literally just told me that I was in the queue. She said I would get an email when it was ready. I did not get an email saying it was ready until the following afternoon. More than 20 hours after I had placed my order. Because of the storm were having I couldnt go in until a day later. When I went to pick up my order, the same girl helped me. She rudely asked what my name was and then walked away. When she came back she was rude to another employee who had asked her a question. I will just drive to the Natomas location from now on. Its not worth the gas to go here. There needs to be one closer to Pocket/Greenhaven.
