This particular Joans is really quaint even though it is a chain store it feels more like a mom and pop. The staff is helpful and often go the extra mile to help.

This place has serval types of fabric to make mask and a whole lot more if you like to sew this is the place.

Some empty shelves but always takes coupons and good craft selections.

Large location with a diverse selection of fabrics and kept in clean condition. Most Joanns Ive frequented are downsizing their stamp offerings, but not this store. I found the missing Ranger distress marker packs that have been out of stock online for months. Now that my collection is complete there is nothing that can stop me now! Mwahahahahahaha....also, taking a star off because the staff was a bit bitter and not very friendly...no one gives baby the cold shoulder!!

A very large store with a huge selection of fabrics and sewing supplies. They are also an equivalent to Michaels in their stock of craft and art supplies. So crafts + sewing = perfect combination.

Okay. Shelves seem emptier. Went to get adjustable picture frame. The kind where you choose the top and sides of different lengths. Did not have it. Looked for better quality poster size frames and only had the flimsy thin plastic ones.

When me and my grandma were about to start on this skirt pattern, we realized we had gotten the wrong size and returned it today. I had went to go get the correct size and when we were checking out, the cashier (her name was Sarah) was not being kind. I felt that she had attitude with it. My grandma told her that the zipper wasnt going to be returned and she said I need the receipt in a rude tone. My grandma apologized since she forgot to hand it to her. We asked if we could use a coupon and she replied No. Not for patterns. in the same rude tone. When she handed us our bag, her eyes squinted, as if she was smiling, but it off, as if it was a fake smile. I usually am pleased with the service here, but this wasnt okay. Besides this, I love Joanns and this wont stop me from going again.

I love this store they help out so muchIl was trying to buy some material just right but couldnt figure out quite what would be the best for it .This guy help me out this was a new print . I got home cut it out sewed it . I looked up something like it I couldnt believe it same print. So for now on Ill be shopping there mine turned out great beautiful if I chose the one I was going with I dont think it would have that bam to it

The staff here are always friendly and helpful. They always have really good deals on whatever supplies or items I want and offer a ton of discounts and coupons.

I never have a complaint about Joanns. And now they offer so many options for shopping... online, curbside pickup, in- store shopping.

The best fabric and craft store!!

I was able to find what I needed, however customer service wasnt very welcoming. I am of an African descent and when I asked for assistance, staff wouldnt look me in my face when speaking to me and upon checking out, although there were approx 6 or 7 customers in line, a cashier opened up a register JUST to check ME out. He was aggressive in his actions, didnt speak when I spoke to him nor did he look at me during the whole transaction, he kept his head down or on the register. When done, I saw him close down the register and return to the other check stand to bag other customers items, while the line had grew even longer. I was very uncomfortable and Ill do my best to avoid this Location for my needs.

Always fun going to Joanns many empty shelves, but plenty of other things to browse. I had 3 different employees assist me & they were so kind & helpful. At checkout employee even assisted me with a greater value coupon!! Very nice to have staff around to help customers. Thank you!

The ONLY craft store in Elk Grove that carried what my daughter was specifically searching for !!! (some sort of metal studs to decorate her jacket that had small looking prong type edges that she could push in to secure stud decor) apologies for my vague wordy explanation -- for the life of me cannot remember their official name) however, do remember the LONG time it took to find them while I drove her around town to find such a simple thing that you would think would be available at ALL craft type stores, not just one. Clerks at all the places we went to, recognized what she wanted and were totally mystified as to why their store didnt have them.That is until we arrived at Joannes (the last store on our list),,,,,, btw- sorry JoAnnes -- I promise you ARE NOW FIRST on our Craft GO TO Store List!! Always.

Its hell on earth.No, really.My wife and daughter drag me here. But this one is normally clean and its bigger than most of them, so I have to say this is the best Joanns in the area.

Has a variety of crafts and art supplies as well as fabrics. Some shelves were a little bare. I dont know if the suppliers are running a little slow do to covid.

Store was large, organized and clean. They also have great sales going on now.

Large store, well stocked in general. I do love craft, hardware, fine art, ceramic supply stores, I can spend a few hours just browsing... Personally Id like to see LESS variety and put the emphasis on BETTER quality in your departments. I know what Im looking for and I do not always find it in this store. I only go in when I think it may be there, it isnt always sure bet. I rate it average.

I had to rudest cashier I have ever met. I went into the store to ask about my where do i go to pick up my curbside pickup. And the cashier started to explain how curbside pickup worked. ...not what I asked..That angered the customer she was helping because the customer was in a hurry... so the customer preceded to be rude to me.. for asking a simple question. I tired not to be angry but I was really sarcastic to the customer. Then i asked for a manager.... the cashier then chose to talk about me to all the customers in her line...like I wasnt waiting right in front of her. I am not sure why she was mad... I was the one she was being rude to and the one who got the anger from her customer.

Treated very rudely by Patricia. I merely asked if she could do I price check because she could not explain the difference in the pricing of one her products. I was happy to wait in a line to get a price check but asked her if she was able to do it. She snapped wait. I couldn’t believe they way she spoke to me. Her tone was confirmed by my wife who was nearby and overheard.Good store and some nice employees usually. But not Patricia.

Make sure you download the app before you shop. It is user friendly and the rewards from shopping are very good. The app always has coupons to use in the store also. You will automatically get a rewards number (make sure you have them scan the barcode with your rewards number EACH time you make a purchase)...the points you get will add up and you save money on the percent or dollar off coupons as well.This store is very organized and clean. The employees are willing to help you (and they seem very happy to do so).

PLANNING TO BUY A MACHINE @ JOANNS?Think twice before making your purchase. I came here with the intent to purchase a Silhouette Cameo 4, priced at nearly $300. I had no problem getting helped with the sales associate who got me the machine I requested. I checked out, and they were able to price match to Amazon.HOWEVER, they did not disclose the fact that the machine they sold to me was a used and returned item, which was not what I paid $300 for. I was not able to register my machine so I know for a fact that it was used. I called the store to explain my situation to which they admittedly confirmed that the machine they sold to me was in fact USED. It was an error on their part.When I returned the machine, it was an easy process but do note that they did not take the time to check the box to make sure all belonging parts were intact. The girl who helped me almost short changed me $100. I admit she did let me count my change, and I did, but I also make mistakes too and made a narrow minded decision to walk out of the store. Not even a minute passed while I was counting in the car, I realized the error. It was a messy situation but the girl who helped me was polite and probably realized the error on her part since her drawer barely had money so all the change she gave me were mostly (fives). I mean imagine counting nearly 200 dollars in small change, it can get confusing.3/5 because I would come back but I am not purchasing any high valued items here anymore because precautions are not taken.Please, everyone, THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU BUY A HIGH VALUED ITEM HERE. Watch reviews too because that helped identified what an original looks like versus an opened product.Also, can I mention that I went straight to Michaels and was able to snatch the (brand new untouched) Silhouette Cameo 3 for $100, thats such an insane savings. I am glad I did not drop $300 for a used product.

It has everything that I want to sew and craft

I have been a serious crafter since I was 10 years old. Visiting craft and fabric stores is one of my favorite places. I have never had such a negative customer service experience than I had at this location today. I frequently visit the Arden and citrus heights locations and this was my time at the elk grove location. It hurt my heart to be treated poorly, in my happy place, as a black woman in this day in age.

Went to Joann to buy a sweater shaver...you know to get the little balls of fabric listed to make it look brand new. My goodness that thing was$25 but well worth it. Have saved a lot of clothes by making them look brand new again!! Money well spent😁

I always love coming to Joanns! I came the first time because I heard they were having a good black Friday sale (it was phenomenal), and now its where I go to purchase my fabrics. They have the biggest variety at reasonable prices, and they always have good deals and coupons. The staff is so friendly, always an experience.

Customer service is horrible I ordered online due to covid because of personal health risk and when I arrived my order was cancelled because in they’re words “our system can’t keep up with inventory” well why have the option for curb side pick up they wouldn’t even accommodate me by giving me a separate order I had placed ive gotten better customer service McDonald’s I’d rather spend my money at hobby lobby but they are closed on Sunday’s so I unfortunately ended up here

Great place for girl scout stuff. Its great how they have classes here for my daughters to learn crafts. We are gonna plan our girl scout meetings here someday.

There are ALWAYS so many deals to be had at JOANNS that I dare someone to not find something that interests them. Personally, I have so many interests that I bankrupt myself every time I go. Also, if holiday decorating is your deal, they have some great deals BEFORE the holiday is even here. The drawbacks that keep me from giving 5 stars are that you have to really look for the best deals and they dont carry enough Happy Planner products, especially when they are first released. Otherwise, I LOVE JOANNS!

I was really impressed with this visit. The store was really clean & the staff smiley & friendly. It was 1/2 hr.before closing when I went in. I knew WHAT I wanted but not where to find it. The young lady behind the fabric cutting counter came all the way around, and led me to the fabrics I needed. When she saw I had a cane, she carried the heavy bolts for me. I had taken a number; but there were a couple of customers before me. She stepped right up & professionally helped each one & was friendly and calm throughout the whole line of customers. She is an asset to this company, but unfortunately I didnt take down her name.

I went to This Joann this afternoon to get some fabric to make masks for work for me and coworkers. And was treated very rudely. I waited almost 2 hours just to get in. I understand the importance and the precautions the workers here are taking for their safety and mine. After waiting in line for over a hour, customers that was inside the store already walked out with their purchases and they weren’t letting anybody else in. When a worker walked out of the store and mention to herself how hot it was. The first person in line asked her (Politely) that we all saw most of the people already came out, are you letting anyone else in. That worker seemed upset and said that the it was the State that wasn’t letting us in do to the fact that they are limiting the amount of people inside the building. She then yelled out that the store was out of elastic bands and sewing machines and walked back in. After that 4 more customers came out of the stores and they still didn’t allow anyone else in. We all felt like that worker was mad at us and wanted us to wait a little longer at this point. 25mins later they started to let people in. When I was inside the woman that was cutting fabric was so rude and unprofessional. I asked to look at a fabric that was over the counter and she didn’t seem like she didn’t wanted to help me. As I was still looking at the fabric she mention very rudely to me that I had to get a number. I know already but I didn’t want to say anything incase she refuses to cut my fabric and than she made a big deal about the amount I can get. At this point I had it I just paid for what I had and left. I was very upset about the whole experience. I will never go back again to this store. The long waiting in line part I fully understand but the rudeness and unprofessionalism is what bothered me the most. As you all know this is a critical time and masks are very much needed. I understand that it’s not fair that people that have to work at this time. But I myself work in a grocery store and don’t have the option to stay home cause my work place is essential to people. We are all scared and trying to get thought this the best way we can. I’m just writing this review so maybe some people can have compassion in some way and work together so that we can all stay safe.

Awesome sales!! Clean environment. Friendly, helpful staff that actually know where things are and dont send you on wild goose chases. They had ample staff for quick checkout. It was a pleasant shopping experience!

Customers take pictures of staff without consent, probably to complain later. Store manager is incredibly unprofessional for running an entire store. Could really use some racial sensitivity training, not every person of color is trying to steal you know. The rest of the staff is fabulous though, just not the store manager.

I went in for yarn. They have a nice selection and today was discount day, which was great. Unfortunately there is no staff to ask questions of. I had a question about needles and yarn gauge, but it was impossible to ask anyone except at the cash register which was busy. The selection was great in all departments and there is plenty of parking.

Everything you could ever imagine for your next project. Easy to find and awesome employees. They will actually help you stack and use your coupons. Love this place.

Great place for finding your craft needs. Im always looking for something fun to do for the holidays. I made my first time jewellery, charm bracelets, for my grandkids and found what I needed to complete the job.

I can always find what I need even if I have no idea what I’m looking for thanks to the helpful associates and supplies!

No tie dye supplies in the store whatsoever, was disappointed in that but otherwise happy with my visit.

Customer service is very poor. I thought ordering online and picking up in store would make my life easier but is more inconvenient then actually shopping in the store. I ordered 5 different fabric styles, paid online, got a voicemail next morning saying they didnt have 2 of the fabrics and only a half the amount I wanted in the styles they did have available. When I called them back I was put on hold for 10 minutes while the employees tried to find my order and figure out what was going on. I said fine, Ill just take what ever you have available. When I went to pick up my order the girl who brought me my fabrics said the person who fulfilled the order messed up and didnt finalize the order properly. So I would have to pay for one of the fabrics despite already paying for the order online, cause they messed up. She called her manager over and said to her can you explain to her why she has to pay for this, cause I tried but shes being all whatever. Seriously?! Talk about rude. Not only did I have to pay for their mistake, it cost more than what I had already paid per yard online. Totally ripped off. They werent gonna let me leave without paying so I did. If they werent having this 40% off fabric sale I would not have even come here. Never again.

Joanns is the closest place to me for beads so although they have a pretty good selection, sometimes they are a bit pricey but the specials they have at times are pretty fabulous.

I went with my daughter looking for fabric for her to make a coat for me. We didnt find anything suitable. We just happened to check out the discounted fabric and jackpot. She found an unusual design that would have normally cost $130 and got it for $40. It was a steal for 4 1/2 yards. Score! I cant wait to see what she makes with it.

Extremely large store that carries just about anything you could need for around the house crafts. They also carry anything you could want for your sewing needs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the products they carry. Prices are about average for the surrounding market.

I cant find a variety of NFL Raider fabric at the JoAnns I usually shop. So this was fun to buy a yard of each. Everyone was so friendly thank you.
