I had the pleasure of working with Recia on Friday on my kitchen cabinet design. I can honestly say I’ve never written a review for any establishment but Recia was so professional, personable and knowledgeable I couldn’t have been more pleased. This women sat with me for over 5 hours on my design with no breaks! Not even to the bathroom. She was diligent and so much fun to work with, if I could I’d give her 10 stars. Well done Recia!! You Rock!!

The male employee in the yard was very nice and informative.

Two different times mixed the wrong color of paint for me. I was very specific and provided the color swatch and color code. When I got home the color was completely wrong. They exchanged it, but I had to do a “no receipt return” with my drivers license just to swap it out for the correct color. Very annoying that this happened twice within a 2 month period here. In the last year I’ve bought probably 50 gallons of paint from other locations and never had an issue.

The staff here is definitely more friendly, engaging and helpful than the vast majority of big box stores Ive been to. Best prices in town and the biggest selection.

Only used Garden Center. Very disappointed in choices of flowers. Prices were ok. Best part was checking out with a wonderful, positive gal. ANGELA, I think, but she was the best. Around 10:30 on Tuesday. Make note of it.

A Young man named Kahn Ming helped me by Cutting our window shades down to the correct size. It was a slightly more expensive brand of shade then we customarily purchase so I was a bit nervous as he prepared the process. He wisely determined how much more shade needed to be cut off beyond the measurements I brought with me and when I got home the shades fit perfectly. I left there feeling confident in our purchase and, with nine more shades yet to order and to be cut, I will definitely be asking for his help again. Thankyou

I can find everything that I need and most of the time find staff Easley, they are very helpful and friendly. It is one of my favorite stores.

If you need wall paint, get paramount or grand distinction. Menards is like lowes, but less classy, and much better than home depot unless you need appliances or tile. If you need to find something in plumbing or hardware, look for an old timer. Theyre the best. The website is horrendous. With the exception of cub foods or aldi, this is where I shop 9 times out of 10. There is one location that stands out, the one with the escelators and the piano. I recommend seeing it in its majesty at least once.

This store of all the other Menards is by far the worst run. The children who work here have no idea how to fix anything much less show you where to find the parts needed. Finding one of these children is next to impossible unless you take your mask off, they come out stalking you and screaming at you then. My wife cannot where a mask for long periods of time for health issues, she was scolded for not wearing her mask over her mouth and told to leave. Apparently there mask rules are more important than my wifes health!

Menards has come a long ways. They now consistently have what I am looking for in a middle to high quality product range.Something for everyone.The Elk River Menards is especially welcoming and helpful. Give them a try I think you will be pleasently supprisrd.

Out of almost all fencing. Only fencing in stock was 2 ft. I needed 6 ft. Wentbyo Tractor Supply instead.

Horrible! When you can finally find someone to help you, they are disrespectful and rude! Their prices are way higher then home depot and their products seam lower quality. The staff didnt know anything about the products they were selling. Ill never visit this terrible store again!

Horrible manners! I just watched 3 employees harass, shame and force a older couple out of the store for not wearing their mask over their mouths. The woman said she had a medical condition. The employee said, Dont care, you have to wear a mask! The couple said they are going to Home Depot from now on and the other employee said, Good, we dont want you!Im never going back!

For me to take the time to write this says it all but most of the employees that work here are the worst. I would give 0 stars if I could. If you trust them to help you, you will be making many runs to the store. Also they are rude. They are also Nazis about masks, I have a family member who has trouble putting it over their nose and none of the employees want to hear it. GO TO HOME DEPOT. Much better service, people and quality!

Just bought some oak doors and trying to find help to get a cart or help with anything was almost impossible:.( 5 guys were standing in millwork n brick station just talking n leaning and when we went to ask questions it was like were bothering them..was in store for 2 hrs and not 1 person asked if they could help us.Had to wrestle doors in suv with just myself n wife.Thanks for nothing menards..probably get treated better at home depot.

Friendly associates asking if you need help finding items & taking time to take you to the item you were looking for. Also plenty of open check out counters, along with friendly checkers.

I stopped in to return a ceiling light fixture. I couldnt find my receipt, the pretty girl in customer service helped me find the receipt on your awesome computer (I love that machine!) Anyway, thats one reason that I shop at Meynards. Keep your stores great!! Thanks

A lot of cool stuff, Sometimes hard to find someone to help you, When you find somebody to help you they are very helpful and courteous. Plenty of patterns and designs to choose from. If they are are the stock we will check other menards for you, Or ask if you want to order it.

Walked to the front door looking for any signs or notices posted on the entrance door. Saw nothing. I entered and walked straight to the merchandise that I needed. Preparing to check-out. I get stopped and told I needed to wear a mask. I didnt see any posted signs on door. I have no problem wearing masks. I had them in my car. Just put a notice on the door next time!

Nothing to complain about other than the huge selection! It can make it hard to find items sometimes but they usually have it somewhere.

Always find the things I need and more. Wish you would continue to carry Best Dam Tea. It wasnt any where.

Elk River menards customer was denied her sale because she pulled her mask down to make a quick call. Was followed throughout the store. When she got to the register they refused to check her out and told her to leave.Police were called, even though they already had an armed guard standing outside. Really an armed guard? Used to love your store choose it before any other. I refuse to shop there again. Will be going to Tractor Supply or Home Depot between the too we have everything. Fleet farm is also worth the drive.

Almost everything is good except the 11% B.S., I have alot of people say, they will not shop Menards because of the 11% scam !

Bought 1/2 rustic hickory so much putty was in knots, waited 2 weeks for delivery. Returned it and got charged $40 restocking fee. Will never buy finish ply ever again from menards. Went to lumber yard bought it on spot $8 cheaper better quality.

My experience was terrible! I needed some shingles so I walked all the way to the back of the store to the building products dept. Where a rude man finally helped me order what I needed after trying to get out of it initially!! After he printed my product purchase list I walked back to the front of the store to pay.After standing in 1 of the 3 lanes they had open for approximately 10 to 15 minutes it was my turn to pay and ironically that was also when they opened a 4th check out lane!Once I paid I walked out to my truck and drove to the lumberyard gate line and waited another 5 minutes in that line then I had to ask 3 people where I was supposed to go before someone got me there.Next after searching the entire roofing area and only being able to find 2 of the 5 items I just paid for I find someone to help me again and he also was not able to find the items and ad uses me to go get a credit!! I tell him I cant do a roofing job with 2/5 of the shingles I need!! So I go back in to get a refund and stand in another line for 5 minutes to be treated rudely by customer service which is totally the wrong name for what they do!!I get my money back and went to HOME DEPOT AND GOT MY SHINGLES NOT ONLY CHEAPER BUT IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES START TO FINISH!!!!as bad as I am making this sound it doesnt even really tell how bad the experience was!!!When I told customer service that i was going to tell everyone about this experience her answer was. Go right ahead and do that!!To which my response was ok I will!!So my advice go to home depot!!! Not Menards!! At least not the elk river location!!!

Menards in Elk River is a great place to shop for your needs around home or in the woods. I bought a chain for my chainsaw tonight along with some electrical supplies.

Boycott Menards!! You want to shop at business that supports liberal agendas and forces their views and opinions on others, then this Menards is for you, for all those other people that dont want to be told what to do and how to live their lives...there are plenty of other stores in the area that will gladly accept your money and treat you with a hundred time more respect!! Making money off making masks mandatory...then selling masks, because they feel they can take advantage of peoples fears, is despicable and shouldnt be rewarded. Look to shop somewhere else and prove their greed is not tolerated in this community!

Lost my business forever attempting to force me to wear a mask..

Experienced a service representative yelling( to get there attention) at a patron that they could not enter the store to shop without a mask. I think that the service rep. needs some patron sensitivity training seeing that your policy concerning face masks literally just went in to effect ( Two days or less). Maybe not everyone is aware that your policy just went in to effect. Not every store is requiring it, and the governor has not mandated it( just strongly encouraged). Please listen, or you will not just lose that customer, but me as well. There are plenty of hardware stores that do not require mask usage yet.

Went there to buy a tape measure and a 3/8 male house connector. Well you cant just buy one without buying the female end with it. I needed it for a nail gun. That is what those ends are for. TOOLS! Then I went to buy a tape measure Every one they sell is MADE IN CHINA I couldnt believe it. Almost everything they sell is made in China SO IF YOU WANT TO SUPPORT CHINA SHOP MENARDS. Ill be going to Home Depot or Lowes sure they have chinese junk but also sell American Made or other countries besides China!

Layout of the store is a madding experience and staff to busy to offer help had to wait for 5mins or better for them to stop talking between them selfs before I could even get a word in and Ill I wanted was to be pointed in the direction of the cement which took me asking a third person before they got it right. Why are the bags of cement in the lawn and garden center?? When you think lawns and gardens does cement come to mind? I couldnt imagine it does.... Personally Id expect it to be in building materials or maybe by the fence stuff or possibly in the out builds (but even thats a far cry from making an cents!) All I can say is home depot works may claim they dont work in section xyz even though there standing in it 9/10 they know where that section is (and if they dont they can look on the website and it tells them right where it is....smart idea ) and atleast there layout is sense able enough that anyone can find things them self

Usually have a specific purpose and item to get and easily find what were looking for. Plus we love the 11% rebates when they have them.

Terrible employees with no manners or respect. Spend elsewhere

Customer service told me I had to go back to windows and siding area to get a ticket to get mulch from outside. They moved the display to garden center. I have a bad back and luckily I had a shopping cart with me because I had to walk across the store to get my mulch and I didnt need a ticket because they were on pallets and I could bring them up to the registers. When I got to the registers a line was out in the aisles from #1 register (1 & 2 were the only ones open) all the way to the bathrooms. I stopped an employee and asked for more cashiers and in a couple of minutes we had 4 more cashiers.

The upper management clearly cares about this store. Employees are always helpful, its always clean, and someone is always there to help you with what you need.

Being an Elk River MN resident I find Menards mask policy disguesting. I have shopped Elk Rivers Walmart, Home Depot and Menards during the 19 lock down period and Menards is the only retailer out of the 3 that required masks for shoppers, and they only started the policy in the last few weeks. But BY FAR the most appalling part is the fact that if you do not have a mask they will SELL you one for a dollar. Requiring masks is safe and sound...Fine...but dont SELL them to unmasked patrons!! I hope in some way Menards pays the price down the road for their greed.
