A great family owned multigenerational butcher shop. Everything is fresh as can be. If you like beef sticks, get the Happy Sticks. You will not be disappointed. Been going here for years. Can taste the difference.

Weve been going to Elk River Meats for 10+ years for steaks, bacon, and burgers. The staff and food quality is always great. I enjoy supporting this small business and bringing my kids to get happy sticks, string cheese and root beer.

Was visiting family in Elk River & wanted to give this place a try. The staff was very friendly & welcoming. I tried one of thier frozen fruit pies & it was wonderful! The variety of meats I purchased were very good. I will be back for more.

A great meat shop! I was driving through Elk River and decided to stop in for a visit. I am very glad I did! Their Happy Sticks (meat sticks) are excellent. I bought two pounds of Happy Sticks and wish I had purchased more. The staff members working the counter were extremely friendly and I enjoyed conversing with them. I will be back!

Ive been going to Elk River Meats since I was a young boy. Its always my go to stop before hunting or ice fishing or just for lunch. Extremely good sticks and cheddar cheese. Head cheese is also good.

This place is a classic. When you walk inside, you feel like you took a time machine back to the 40s. Everybody there knows each other, prices are great, and food is amazing.

The lines can be long but well worth the wait. Their meat and cheese is fantastic and the ladies keep you entertained while you wait. Highly recommend!! Been going to this meat market for years.

Elk River Meats has an awesome staff, great quality meats, and the best snack sticks (Happy Sticks) around! Ive loved the Happy Sticks since my parents brought me here when I was a kid and now I bring my own kids.

Everything at this place is sooooo good. Their stew meat is the best, their snacks like string cheese, happy sticks and jerky is hands down the best of anywhere. Hamburger is awesome. Its the only place we go get meat and have for years. Ben eating meat from this place for at least 25 years. The price is good and hope they dont charge a thing.

Great prices for phenomal quality. It feels like stepping back 50 years in time. Customer service and quality is number one. I have tried just about everything there and it is all better than you can get at any grocery store. For a treat try the jerky. It is unlike any other that I have had.

Great meat selection and a very fun environment. They know 90% of the customers by name. Its like a bug family. Ive had to wait for 30 minutes at times but it is so fun you dont mind.

What can I say about their Happy Sticks, home made hot dogs, and smoked string cheese? Theyre the best! And so is everybody that works there.

I come here all the time! The meat is from local sources, and the quality is out of this world! Sometimes I go there just for the delicious smell of smoked meat. Youve gotta try the smoked pork-chops!

They make some delicious beef sticks called happy sticks, also sell smoked string cheese. Bought some polish sausage links which are smoked. Just have to heat and eat.

Fantastic meat market! Stopped by to stock up on sliced cheeses - swiss, super hot, havarti dill, cojack - smoked cheese sticks, sliced ham, smoked ham and fresh herring. Looking forward to enjoying these tasty and reasonably priced favorites! Check the hours to be sure they are open and allow some time for the line tended to by the friendly and helpful staff while enjoying the rich aromas in this Main Street shop.

You just expect places to be open at noon on a Wednesday. I have tried multiple times to go to this shop but it is never open. A business that is only open 3 days a week cant expect much business or customer loyalty. Afraid i am done trying.
