I contacted Granitech regarding a stone remnant for a new fireplace hearth. Kerry contacted me quickly and after providing me with a reasonable quote followed through the process from start to finish. It was fun to go through the yard and see the many slabs of stone they had in stock and they helped us find a grey /black slab that worked perfectly. overall time from contact to completion of the hearth was 3.5 weeks. GREAT JOB!

Best place for granite, good quick service

If no stars was an option it would be how I would describe this “business.” After spending the amount equal to a brand new SUV on granite from this company to be installed in my new home, I asked for additional granite to be added to other locations in my house. I was promised by the owner of GraniteTech that what was being brought to and installed in my home was going to match the other pieces that were already in my home. The owner was also supposed to come to my home to make sure that it matched and never showed up or called me, as he had promised. The material that showed up on the day of installation (which took 3 weeks to get confirmed) of course did not match because no one could be bothered to come to my home to make sure that it did. So the installation technicians proceeded to install the granite in the additional locations in my house and once it was installed it was a very obvious mismatch. I tried over and over to contact Bob (owner of GraniteTech) via text and call and he was nothing less than responsive, defensive, and accused me of ordering the wrong granite after I went to their store and showed them exactly what I wanted and knew was already installed in my home (btw it is an hour drive for me to get to their store). He had no solution for me other than to remove all of the granite that I had installed into my home when it was built and replace it with the granite that I did not want or pick out because he sold the original material to someone else (he of course did not admit to this but coincidentally did not have my material in stock). By the way, he was less than friendly and didn’t return or answer any of my texts or calls to discuss, and still did not come to my house to address the issue. Great customer service! Over a month later (the wrong and mismatched granite still installed) he called me very early in the morning and demanded me to move my washer and dryer so that he could send his technicians to remove the mismatched granite. I finally had to tell him to come pick up all of his materials and remove the mismatched granite and that we were going to find someone else to do it who actually has interest in our business and understands what customer service is. I now have three holes in the wall of my brand new home where dry wall is ripped off from the removal. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone after this very negative experience with the owner of this business. I was also recently informed of previous customers that had very similar experiences with this business. I’m not one to leave reviews, negative ones in specific, but it is really difficult not to be frustrated and hold back from sharing in this particular occasion.
