Isabel SAVED THE DAY! I had totally forgotten to get my wedding dress altered and she took me on last minute. She altered my dress in TWO days and did an AMAZING job! I would never go anywhere else . She added boning, she fixed the length, she fixed the back.. it was gorgeous

Isabel is the sweetest, and she did an amazing job with my dress! I went in thinking that my straps needed to be taken in and that my the waistline may need to be let out due to some stretching buttons (it was a sample dress) and she took one look and knew that all of that was wrong, but that I need the tension lines on the lace top altered to better fit my figure. She fixed half of it while I was standing there and she added a bustle to the dress which was perfect! I was so happy that I found her because by the time I picked the dress up a few weeks later, it fit like a glove.

Ill preface this with the following caveat: Isabel Donnelly is not cheap. If youre looking for an inexpensive tailor, look elsewhere. But Isabel will give you an honest quote upfront — I recommend doing a $35 consultation before starting the tailoring process if youre concerned about the price — and she wont increase the price halfway through the process the way others might unless you significantly change what youre looking for. The bottom line: You get what you pay for. Isabels skills with a dress are absolutely magic.I came in with a dress that was more than two sizes too big in some places, and it had a delicate illusion back that made alterations difficult. I was so unhappy with the fit that I was ready to buy a new dress. By the end of the alteration process, my dress looked like it had been custom made for me and I was absolutely in love with it.Isabel was a pleasure to work with. She advised me on whether specific changes would be wise, but also listened to all of my concerns, always telling me that ultimately everything was my choice. When all was said and done, I was so glad she had talked me out of certain changes and into others. Above all, she was patient, even when I was indecisive about my shoe choice (and therefore the length of the hem). My final fitting was a few weeks before my wedding, so Isabel told me that if I got nervous about the dress between then and the wedding, I could come try the dress on again. When I inevitably did, she was nothing but kind and understanding.If you can afford the money, you wont regret hiring Isabel.

It was the right person to alter my wedding. With few pictures of how the dress on me she was able to tell me exactly what she could do to make it look perfect on me. On top of that I contacted her 3 weeks before my wedding date, she felt my desperation and squeezed me in her schedule. She does charge a $35 consultation fee which is worth it. I cant that her enough. I will definitely recommend her services.

I took a dress that I ordered online, that was way too small for me, and Isabell made me feel like $1 million dollars. She was wonderful, attentive to details, and made my dress work for me! Worth every penny!

I’m so glad I chose Isabel for my dress alterations. My dress fit perfectly, and I got so many compliments on my special day. Isabel also suggested a bustle, which made walking in 3” heels that much easier! The work was finished in five weeks (I was in no rush) and each consultation lasted about forty minutes. I thought her prices were fair for the high quality of her work.

I would 100% recommend Isabel to anyone. She made the whole process feel so good and so easy; she works out of her home, which feels warm and inviting, and has a clear timeline for what to expect. The initial consultation is $35 cash and she was able to put in pins to show me exactly what she would do for what I assume is a reasonable price. It was $600 total to hem all 4 layers of tulle, fix lace-covered straps, and fix a weird crease in the bodice. I cant say if theres a more reasonable price, but for the quality and quickness of the work, I would go back to her in a heartbeat and feel it was more than fair.

Isabel altered a bridesmaid dress in a week and did a wonderful job. She is sweet and personable and I cannot wait to work with her again.

Isabel is a great seamstress, she did my wedding dress, my daughters and my mom. She did an amazing job with a lace wedding dress.My mom lives in another country so I get my mom dress online, when she arrived 5 days before my weeding, my surprise, her dress was so big for her. Isabel altered her dress in 2 days and basically she did a brand new dress with my mom for all the alterations she did with her dress. I truly recommend her. She is very professional and her work is amazing for a great price!!

Im going to wear my mothers wedding dress for my own. When I initially tried it on, it was too small. Isabel took some fabric from the train and let the dress out a bit with that fabric, and it turned out wonderful. You cant even tell where the alterations were made, everything is so seamless. Im very much looking forward to wearing this dress on my wedding day. I would encourage anyone who needs any alterations done to go to Isabel. It was well worth the money.

The BEST! shes so kind and professional, literally bomb customer service! twas a few days before the wedding and my bridesmaid dress did not fit but Ms. Isabel is such a blessing and worked her magic in one day!

Came to Isabel for an Estimate on my daughters wedding dress. She pinned and tucked to get Ideas and said it would be 1200$. As my daughter was in the dressroom changing out of her dress.... Isabel said that there was a 35$ charge for the estimate... When I called to set up the appointment she made No Mention about the 35.00$ charge... she said it was on her website....Did not see on website.... I did pay her to avoid a scene..... I did call her the following day to see how much would she charge just for the bodice of the dress. She told me that this dress would be too much work for her.... It must be nice to turn away business. I do question her integrity and ethics....and feel lied to about the 35.00$ charge. Buyer Beware.

I was told that my dress could not be altered a month before I got married by another seamstress. Isabel took it and altered it with no problem and got it done ahead of time. She has a really sweet and warm spirit and has a true passion for what she does.

I NEVER leave reviews, but Isabel is a dream come true. I bought a sample sale dress in a panic, and then wanted to change EVERYTHING. She turned a gigantic, poofy, strapless sweetheart ballgown into a sleek V-neck A-line gown with straps. Three other alteriers said it couldnt be done, or wanted to charge me double.On top of her talent, she is so friendly and lovely. I miss our fittings!
