Best place in Baltimore to buy Indian food, spices and fresh produce. Shop without hurting your pocket
The store by itself is good and inexpensive, and the staff are polite. But I try not to shop here very often, because the unregulated and crazy drivers who come to its parking area.Yesterday, I had to drive my mother to buy her groceries from Lotte and I had to park as close as possible to the store in the designated parking spots between 2 SUVs.After driving home, I noticed the back door behind the passenger seat was completely dented like someone had smashed a shopping cart to my car and still had the paint left on my car. There was no note left on my car. And now because of the $40 worth of groceries from this place, I have to take my car to the body shop and pay hundred of dollars to repair the damage.
Perfect place to try a variety of quality Korean food with reasonable prices.
A gem for alot of Asian groceries. We found a lot of our ingredients here. Some prices are cheaper than other stores, so you need to do your research and shop smartly.
Always an interesting experience. Good place for produce, fish, noodles, different rice, sauces. Ingredients for that Asian recipe you want to try. Different snack foods.
Does not honor its weekly sale prices, good supermarket with huge selection for Indian/asian groceries
Nice Korean market with other Asian foods, good quality of the food.
Well stocked, fresh vegetables, fruit, meats and fish. Not well labeled for the non-Asian shopper. Great if you know what you are looking for, it at l east can recognize it. Food court has good, reasonably priced meals.
They have a decent selection of items. It does seem a little run down. I tend to shop at the h mart.
Has most of what Im looking for. Happy with the service
I love lotte market. Its food at the food court is amazing, the groceries are fresh, and the small toy shop is the cutest ever!
Good’ cheap and fresh. Better than Hmart. Hmart too expensive.
Selection is fine and fresh but the 5☆ is for its food court and hobby store Lilthingamajigs. Manna, a vendor in the food court, is home to the best korean food in the county, perhaps even state. Price is reasonable, food is fresh, and you get huuuge portions.
5 stars if they still made the red bean rice cake. 💔
Be careful when you check out, There is a Cashier lady that mixes up your stuffs with other customers. I was ended up paid $50 more for someone else…
Excellent place for Asian food. Enjoyed ourselves.
Really dirty and run-down. Cant navigate the aisles because theyre full of stacked boxes everywhere.Toddler and I got hungry so we went to the food court, waited in a short line. I walked up to the counter and pulled out my credit card to order some 해장국, and the Korean person (Im making an assumption because they spoke Korean) behind me stepped up next to me and just started ordering, restaurant cashier acted like I wasnt even there. 버릇 없어요! After that and how dirty it was in there, we just parked the shopping cart and left.H-Mart is bigger, cleaner, and right across the street. Ill be going there instead.
Its a nice asian market with a food court that specializes in awesome Korean style food!
Great market that offers all of Asias favorite food products. Clean and good customer organizational flow throughout market. Although some thoroughfares are a little tight.Try to keep social distance. Happy with the price points too!
Nice place, a lot of food choices especially Korean food.
There Kimbap is cheap and good!
All your korean food needs in one place. aisles are a bit tight compared to hmart. ready to eat meals/snacks are yummy.
I got 2 qhite coconut from Ellicott city, MD, lotte plaza and my black dress is stained with whitish paint from the outer shell. I washed the coconut, the water turned into milky white substance ☹. Scared to use, the water i washed turned into some oily, sticky thing. The shell was only brown color.
Nice Asian grocery. Little food court on the side is good. Can get crowded on weekends.
Variety and items you would expect from an Asian market! Fresh with fair prices
Asian grocery mostly is Korean stuff. Use a Google translate no problem
Closest Asian grocery store to Annapolis. They have Korean Japanese Indian and tie groceries and Sundries. Prices are reasonable the store is well-stocked and it has nearly everything you could want in an Asian grocery.
Compared to H mart, this store just doesnt measure up. This area is full of great Asian supermarkets so the bar is admittedly a bit higher.
Good store and a large selection. Staff is nice and the extra area they have with hot food and other sundries is helpful and typically of quality
If youre looking for hard-to-find Asian or Indian groceries - this is THE place! I like to just wander around - seeking inspiration for that next, delicious meal...!
Good for finding Asian ingredients for dishes.
I was impressed by the plethora of produce at this Asian market. I discovered vegetables that I had never seen before. For example they had Indian bittermelon, see photo. I also saw malanga which I have only eaten in Cuba. They had several other root vegetables as well. The vast variety of fresh produce well out weights the inventory at the traditional American grocery stores. The prices are very reasonable. They had a large bunch of fresh herbs for $2.00. The store is very clean and organized. I will definitely return to do more shopping here.
My family loves to eat at the Lotte Plaza food court. Delicious Korean, Japanese and sushi restaurants each specializing in their own dishes and very reasonable prices so everyone gets their favorite. The court just got a make over. The dated and uncomfortable tree stump tables are gone replaced with practical and cheap melamine tables. I was sorry yet also relieved to see them go.
Great food selection and the deli serves fresh and great snacks like Kimbap.
I LOVE this place!!! The food court makes me sooooo happy and I love finding new food items in the store. The have the most varied fruit/vegetable section Ive ever shopped in. I am always glad to shop there.
Over charged me on frozen yucca and the Asian cell phone store closed along with alot of other shops... pandemic
Pretty good produce at decent prices. I normally go here to get frozen/prepared international foods and I am usually not disappointed. Sometimes I cant find what I am looking for. I dont really understand their layout. So I can spend way too much time looking and looking. I found this great instant coffee. Yum. Going to get these again!
My wife mother in law was there to shop and we shop every week at least once or twice. Spend $3-400And in return rudeness from employees poorly treated when questions asked. Cashiers tell you what to do like teachers, manager only wants to stand on employees side and cover up their mistakes by telling customers to leave the premises if youre done getting your anger out. Unbelievably rude, poorly mannered not trained enough to even talk and help customers. I have never seen markets like this one anywhere.
Went there for sugar cane juice. The pastries were good. They had everything available under one roof. Fast service too.
Double check your bill, there might be extra items included n your bill!!!!The staff in this place are very unprofessional. I have been a regular customer of Lotte for the past 5 years. As usual today morning i purchased grocery for around $198 that included 3 types of fish, however the bill included 4 types of bill with an additional of $4. I went to the customer center, they came searched my car and finally told asked me to give them some time. The customer executive disappeared, she went and looked at video and was trying to prove that i bought 4 fishes. I asked her to check with the fish department, the fish they billed me was not available that day...she started calling me liar and i kept asking her ti check with fish department. I asked her to call the manager but she resisted and she insisted that i am lying. I continued to ask her to check with the fish department and call me a manager she refused and started getting angry. I started walking around and finally got a manager, who was not very helpful either. I finally gave up, with the current pandemic the choice i tool was to give away my $7 as a tip to lotte...Bye Bye lotte..never gonna come there again.
Such a great store with a huge great selection of many things besides the hard to find foods!! Definitely will be going there more often 10/10
Easily accessible, everyone is helpful. There is a cafeteria where you can eat. The bathrooms are always stocked. There are small household item vendors on one side of the store and groceries on the other. I highly recommend the little bakery and the stationery shop!
The produce wasnt really fresh. We found a bunch of mushy cucumbers and ended up going to HMart.
Great. The best!
My favorite grocery place
Great Asian markets.
This is one of seven Lotte supermarkets located in Maryland. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, every shopper is required to wear a face mask before entering this supermarket. On weekdays, the place is not too crowded. But the weekend is a different story. Overall, this international supermarket is clean, and there are wider selections of Asian produce, instant noodles, snacks, and much more. For my first time visit, I had no more than 15 minutes to shop, and there was no time for me to stop by a food court to try out that Korean fish-shaped pastry (some shoppers call it red bean fish) and at the café to sip a freshly brewed cup of coffee while shopping. In the past, I have heard of earful complaints from other shoppers who said, …some cashiers are not courteous… …the customer service is a waste of time and worthless… and …certain items are overpriced…If you are looking for a good selection of Asian foods, this is a good place to shop.
Korean grocery market.. nice
Its a well stocked store with competitive pricing. But it is a little dated and could use some updating. Otherwise Im well pleased each time I go there.
I like this market. It stays busy but I can always find everything I need with no issues.
Fresh and high quality groceries, but the overall space is too small. So AVOID going at crowded times.
Always great and wide selection of products, also the food court is a big hit
Good Korean market with a verity of selections.
Walked in not knowing it was pretty much only an Asian food market. Good for fish and very different types of food but definitely not a milk and bread kind of market! (Actually- I only found a couple of loaves of bread in the whole store!) Also, no deli area for sliced meat or salads.
A lot of Asian food there Social distancing is fine, you cant touch anything in the store cuz of Covid 19. Only buy to touch. I like the meat there.
Very poor service, meaning the cashier will ring you up and take your money and then afterwards tell you that you have to pay five cents your each plastic bag to put the items you bought from the store. Absolutely no customer appreciation and they should closed down.
Fresh vegetables and lots of Korean foods at the store
Good Asian supermarket
Exotic, rice selection. Helpful customer service.
Fresh fruit and vagitables
Love this store. All Indian groceries are available.
The qulaity of sea foods are very good in this location. I also enjoyed the korean barbecue ribs that is pre marinated by the lotte team.###################Updated the rating after the horrible experience from lotte customer executives and manager
Always get fresh produce and the lines are usually not very long, especially in the afternoons and early evening. As an added bonus, in the back there is an independent sushi stall which offers fresh sushi of great quality and you can also order and is very reasonable in price.
I wash my clothes there. I like it very much.
Love this place. Great produce. Great seafood. Hard to find ingredients! They have everything I need to make pad Thai and drunken noodles, at inexpensive prices. And I can always find a unique little trinket for my toddler as a reward for him being a good boy at the store.
Love us some Lotte! Yang Kyung-mo in the produce department is the most knowledgeable person when it comes to all things fruit/veggie. My wife and I have appreciated his guidance when selecting the best fruits and veggies available. Because of him we rarely shop anywhere else if we dont have to!
Lots, lots, lots of wonderful Asian foods! Fast food area with variety. Even a mini home goods, clothes toys area. Will come back.
Has all the Asian products you will need, including a wet market with live seafood, small store/s, even Korean food stalls with a variety of dishes. Reliable Asian market to go to.
Just love a trip to Lotte. Excellent, authentic Japanese and Korean food in the food court. Weird looking stuff thats delicious on the shelves. Excellent and surprisingly inexpensive produce. The parking lot is a bit of a nightmare but just remember to drive slowly and look in all your mirrors.... Also the Hot Roll or whatever its called close by is food-you-tainment for sure! In Lotte, if you have kids, dont miss the bakery by the food court. Weird little fish shapes with custard in them!
Doesnt carry seamoss but still a wide variety of other produce and items.
Tons of fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs. Some cool vegan options.
I like the food court. Fresh Korean food thats cheap and tasty.
This market has just about everything, including few restaurants. Fresh sushi to healthy Korean traditional meals are available. The little cafe sells freshly brewed coffee daily and delicious snacks. Try their fish shaped pancakes: these are daily made. Buy some for your loved ones back at home. Korea is well known for high class desserts land snacks.
Very good.
This is a great asain supermarket but the whole store is rather dirty, there is little regard to cleanliness and organization. There were several items on dry shelves that were wet (I was a little concerned there) the produce selection was very poor but I was able to find what I needed overall.
This is the only place I could get roasted eggplants in a bottle, a turkish delicacy. It would be a five if they start bringing back Philippine products.
Asian continent food and stuff
Alot of fresh vegetables and seafood.
I always like coming here for their produce. Their produce is cheaper than any place Ive been to while maintaining high quality. They have some organic options and you will also find a lot of exotic fruits and veggies.
They were open later than most stores on Christmas eve and had exactly what I needed. Christmas dinner is saved!
