Such wonderful people. They treat every customer like family. Also, this location has so much great inventory! This company also supports their local community in many ways and really stepped up with support of health care workers during the early stages of COVID.

They really need to fix their inventory system!Went to the Ace website for a cooking grate and was directed to Clark’s. There were 2 options listed as in stock. I was unable to locate either on the shelves. I asked at the help hub and was told that the website is corporate and doesn’t know what’s actually in stock. He asked for the part number and checked the store inventory. It showed 4 in the store. There were none of that item or the alternative item in the store. 15 mile one way drive for nothing. You can’t blame corporate when you’re own inventory is not accurate.

I brought my knives to be sharpened by the new machine. - 7 in total. It sharpened most of my knives but one of my most expensive knives (Cutco) was damaged. Clarks reimbursed me for the cost of the knife and followed up with me. I appreciate their customer service.They are always helpful and assist when asks.

After getting sick of the big box hardware stores in the area, I decided to try ACE out. Completely different experience. ACE employees are helpful, store is clean, everything is reasonably priced and easy to find. I find myself making excuses to visit at least once a week now.

Very helpful people here. They have a great selection of hard to find items as well as the usual stuff you can find at the big box hardware stores. Their sale prices are also very good. This is a great family run local business.

1st time Ive shopped at an Ace and this location didnt disappoint. I purchased a few plastic flower pots I had been looking for and also got some healthy plants of basil and peppers to plant in my garden. I found the store to be clean and organized with I really appreciate. Cant wait to be in the area to visit again. The only thing I was hoping theyd have is houseplants.

Always a great team at this store. What really important is, I was at the store when that F1 tornado was pushing through Western Howard Co., May 23, 2019 and was approaching the store. Quickly store management directed everyone in the store and within store entrance earshot to go to an interior conference room. Truly a new definition of customer service...or care.

Absolutely horrible customer service!4/11/21, 1700.We went to purchase a cultivator attachment for our Stihl kombisystem. We stood at the lawn/yard section for about 20 minutes without a single employee asking if we needed assistance. Multiple employees walked by and when we attempted to make eye contact or speak to one, they turned and walked away. When an employee did finally come to the counter he walked another customer in front of us.We had a few items in our cart and did purchase those only to be double charged for one of them. I said something to the cashier about the total price and that she had charged me for 2 of a single item I was purchasing. Not even a simple apology, just- you can go ahead and put your card in.This same cashier when asked by a family member if someone was working at the counter (trying to get us assistance) replied yeah there working, if they’re not there, they are busy. She did nothing to assist with helping to get someone to the counter.We have always supported your store as it is not a big box store and felt that you had superior customer service. It seems with your newer layout your employees have a newer work ethic and customer service style.We will NOT be returning.

The guy told me the part I was looking for didnt exist as I found it right in front of his face but he was very friendly about it and was very willing to help . I guess its better then home depot where you cant find anyone even working there.

Prices are fine and I find whatever I need there but it seems the younger associates are way friendlier to me than the older guys. I go to Clarks Ace hardware when I need something that is not low priced, or when I need help. I go to Clarks hardware when the big stores fail me. I go to Clarks when I need something fixed like a lawn mower, or screens, or any of the many other items that they fix at their store. I go there one I need keys made whether they are electronic or physical. Its a great place, the only question I ask myself is why dont I go there more often?

Came in for some machine screws and a replacement swivel head/grommet for a desk clamp vice. Was looking to fix a mounted computer monitor arm. While they didn’t have the latter, the staff put in a lot of effort into looking and trying to help me out. They were all very nice and outgoing. Thanks!

Clarks Hardware is like a hardware store in a good dream. It is Family owned. The store always has a large number of staff members in the store to answer questions support the shoppers. They most likely have what ever you are looking for. I fully recommend Clarks Hardware.

I think Clarks ACE has become my go-to for all things BBQ. A little over a year ago I purchased my Kamado Joe, and today I purchased a 26 inch Weber kettle grill. Both experiences were phenomenal. With both, I received them the same day of purchasing them online. The gentlemen today were prompt, friendly, brought the grill to the deck, and even took away my old 22.5 inch Weber kettle grill that has fallen apart after a decade of use (saving me a trip to the landfill). Thank you ACE.

Had to get a duplicate key made for my car. Home Depot couldnt do and I wasnt going to pay dealer prices. I called them and they said they could. I went in and 20 minutes later and $5 poorer, I had a working back up key for my vehicle. They arent Home Depot or Lowes in terms of selection (thankfully). But they have stuff that others dont, and the staff is helpful

Very nice and friendly ACE hardware store employees but they never seem to have a lot of things I need. I normally end up making another trip to another hardware store right after visiting. Also the prices were much higher for more unique items like baby proof gear.

Went to pick up a snow blower from here with curbside pick up. The box was too big for my car despite me measuring the opening at the trunk (things are slightly shorter where seat folds). After a valiant effort, the two guys suggested taking it out of the box to fit and then helped load it that way. If theyre this helpful outside the store, I cant imagine how helpful they would be if you actually went inside.

Had house air filters I needed at a good price. I was in and out with no lines.

I purchased a snowblower for curbside pickup on 2/1/21 - during a storm that was going through the area. I prefer to shop at ACE over the box stores as a general rule; Id rather support locally-owned businesses over the huge corporate behemoths when it makes sense to. The store is normally open until 6pm so as I set out at about 3:40pm I figured I was in good shape. However, when I used Google maps to get the exact address, Google indicated the store would close at 4pm. This was a big disappointment - I needed the snowblower ASAP. So I called the store and spoke to a real person who said that they would stick around for me to pick up curbside. They called back just as I was pulling up to make sure I was still coming, and the manager and another individual came out and helped me load the heavy box into my truck. As I was being helped (It was 4:20 at this point), at least two more people walked up to the store and were disappointed to see it closed - but the manager let them both in anyways. I have no idea when they eventually were able to let their people go. While the early closure may have been a questionable decision for a hardware store during a snowstorm, great customer service turned this loss into a big win. Thanks to whoever is in charge over there for helping me (and at least a few other people) by going above and beyond to do the right thing for your customers. This is where small and local can really stand out.

Clarks Ace Hardware has been in the same Family for I believe 175 years and I think one of the main reasons for this is their Great Customer Service. You might go to one of the big chain stores and maybe save a few cents but you will not get the service that you get at Clarks Hardware.

Clarks is always my go to place to find unique and useful items. Also, good place to pick up paint.

Was there several times and they always helpful. Staffs know well the products, friendly. I saw a staff helping a lady to put the tree in her sedan. Super helpful!

Stopped by for the first time in a while and things have changed for the better! Love the new layout and of course its always nice to actually be able to talk to an employee when you have a question, unlike other hardware stores.

I usually get great service at Ace Hardware stores. However, I placed an online order on a Friday morning and received a string of disappointing interactions in-store, on the phone, and through email through the weekend.It was a rather baffling experience. They did not seem to care about me or my order. I wouldnt recommend placing any online orders as they dont seem to know where their own inventory is or care much about it.

I was pleasantly shocked when we arrived at Clarks. It is a fully stocked and excellently staffed hardware store. Vast selection of everything you can think of and friendly helpful people to show you where it all is. I will be going back and its a 40 minute drive for me. Well worth it.

I love this place! Its about 20 minutes from my house but well worth the trip. Why? First, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Second, they actually had the part I needed (Home Depot and Lowes did not). Last, they think out the box with their offerings, meaning, beyond all the other items you expect to see at hardware stores they also have an incredible array of specialty snacks and even items like shaving cream! Awesome experience.

We needed unique keys made. HOME DEPOT could not do the job. ACE had an old fashioned technician who did an excellent job with friendly service. We picked up a few other items and tried some Dots Pretzels he recommended that are yummy.

Two interactions with this location, both were poor at best. First, I called to see if an item was in stock and was told that they had a few. 15 minutes later when I arrived, no one could find any of the item and after 30 minutes of looking with three employees no one could find anything. Second, after seeing that an item was in stock on the website, I called to make sure. I literally called 10 times over two days before someone picked up. They told me that they indeed had one of the item in stock but they would transfer me to someone in hardware. That person never picked up so I called back. Finally on the 11th call a grumpy voice in hardware answered, What are you looking for, again??? I read him the item number and he said that even though the computer says that they have one, they dont because he was looking for it for twenty minutes the day before. POOR customer service and inventory system. I dont like leaving negative reviews during the pandemic, but this is a business, and if they are open they should be more interested in customer service.

As a long time customer here, I have to say that was disoriented the first time I went after the remodel. But as kitchy it now is compared to before, its easier to find what Im looking for.The staff though... Theyre the best and always have been!Love the improvements and the staff 👍

This is the place to go when you need some esoteric piece of hardware, or need help figuring out just what you need, or know what you need but dont need the pack of a dozen that the big box stores sell. The help is plentiful but best of all knowledgeable. If they dont have what you need, then they do not hesitate to recommend another seller. Clarks is very much like the hardware stores of yesterday with modern products. They are a true retailing exemplar.
