Found myself walking the city on an early Tuesday morning. I noticed a few Irish style caps in a window and searched for the entrance. To my disappointment the location did not open on Tuesdays. As I walked away, a door opened and was asked if I was interested in looking at something in the store? I jumped at the chance and 45 minutes later left with a hat and 2 new waistcoats that will look great with my kilts. Thanks for opening!

If you ever visit Ellicott City, MD make it a point to stop in at Sunflower Trading Company. The manager of the day is a man named Dan and he is an amazing proprietor as well as a great personality. He knows his product and will do everything he can to assure you are satisfied with your purchase. And I was.The quality of sweaters, hats and other garments were top line. It was hard not to buy more!! And that isnt over reaching. The store is engaging with its selection, and Dan simply tops it off with his congenial style and verve. If you appreciate quality, if you are looking for that unique item of sweater or hat or scarf etc I cannot emphasize enough going to Sunflower. I dropped by to buy one hat and ended up with 2! Jean Luc and Frank are extremely knowledgeable about hats, how they should fit and making sure I was pleased with my purchase. But there is so much more than hats! They carry a beautiful selection of sweaters, gloves, scarves, and bags. I will return!

Found out about this company by visiting an Antiques fair at the Dulles Expo, and wasnt quite ready to buy then, but got their business card, and later made the trip from northern Virginia up to Ellicot City, and it was worth it. The gentleman working the store on 1 February 2020 was fantastically service-minded, and an absolute charmer with our kids, endlessly patient and good humored!When it comes to the hats, they actually dont always have as much in stock at this location, because most of their hats travel with them to various shows/festivals, but the clerk was able to find two in stock, in my size. I have been frustrated, for decades, about the lack of hats in my size -- but this store carries them!Could not recommend them more -- high-quality hats, and great customer service is a winning combination!

I am a big fan of Gottmann hats. Gottmann list this company as their vendor in the U.S. They shipped immediately and the hat arrived early, packaged well and in excellent condition. Great quality and will order from them again.

I purchased a hat for my husband from this company at a festival in Pennsylvania. Upon flying home I contacted them within less than a week and advised that the hat was too small and requested an exchange. They kindly responded that I could and requested that I send photos of the hat. I did this and it showed the hat exactly in the condition it was purchased with all tags still attached. I have attempted to contact them numerous times since sending the photos, copy of receipt and description and still no response. It has been about two months since first request from me. I am very disappointed in this company. While I have a great hat it is of no use to my husband.
