Do not go to this record store, if you do, then you’ll find gems, buy them and take them home depriving me of finding them buying them and taking them home. All kidding aside, best collection around, I hate having to go through a million undesirable records like at other stores and coming up empty, this place cuts the wheat from the chaff. A few examples of my scores from this place. First edition pink flag-wire, an unopened anodyne-uncle Tupelo, illmatic-Nas first edition, Sunday at the village vanguard-bill evans. Police in helicopter-John holt. So alt/rap/jazz/reggae in those examples, I could go on. Small and well curated.

NEW FAVORITE RECORD STORE!!My wife and I stopped in yesterday and had such a great time hanging out with the owner talking about music while looking through a great collection of records. His passion for records (and music) was infectious. Best of all, unlike other record stores, I didnt find myself leafing through 25 (or more) records before I found one that I knew and liked. The selections were great and the aforementioned friendly vibe just made me want to hang out there all afternoon. Cant wait to go back!

Small store with a great inventory of curated used vinyl. Friendly staff. Would definitely make the drive to Ellicott City just to stop in @ Archive.

I highly recommend this record store. The person working here helped me track down an album I was looking for that I wanted to gift my wife, and even helped me with framing it.

Love Archive Records. Jason the owner does a great job keeping a cool and friendly vibe in the place. Find your favorite artists, grab an album and take some music home...in your hands! Nice selection, fair prices.

Pros: The store owner gave me a discount on a Kate Bush record today and Im super pleased. Vinyl is in superb condition as well as the sleeve. Sounds great! Love this local shop a mile from my house! Reasonable prices.Cons: slim pickings on contemporary music.

My husband and I wandered in here a couple months ago and ended up buying a turntable. We had been talking about getting one for years, and the owner Jason helped us finally take the leap. Also found several great records here, they have a nice variety of records. Great little store! A couple weeks later we had a problem with the turntable we bought and Jason was very patient helping me diagnose the problem and also gave me reccommendations on where to get repairs done for it. He stands by what he sells and has great customer service. Will be returning for sure to buy more records.

Small, but packed to the gills with good stuff. The ambience is very cool, the customer service is simply put, second to none.. (And I barely understand or use that phrase). I always hit this place up after a nice cup of Joe from the local coffee Shoppe across the street. They also have great deals on electronics (used naturally). I had just purchased some Bose speakers elsewhere and wish I had gone here first, they had the ones I was really looking for. Im very happy to be back into vinyl, and its good to know there are places like this with a knowledgeable staff ( I think he is the owner). Cool place... Check it out

Perfect place. The friendliest and most knowledgeable workers you could ask for. Great selection of games and records for collectors of either or both. I go there usually once every two weeks and they always have new and awesome stuff.

Cool record shop. The guys there werent very helpful. I came in, they didnt say hi. They didnt ask me if I needed anything. Or am I looking for anything. They just were playing tapes and talking to each other. I am not sure if this is good, or bad. They have a pretty big selection though. As a DJ I didnt necessarily find anything I would have liked to own though (I play primarily rnb and hip hop). Most of the records are much older. That being said their collection was still pretty cool, and reasonably priced.

This is after the location moved due to the flooding in 2016. So the shop is somewhat small, about two rooms in total, but has a very good chill and retro vibe to it. They have a generous collection of vinyl records and cassette tapes, and a small collection of CDs and early nintendo games for sale. The shop owners are chill and helpful as well.

Its a small place that can be over looked since its at the bottom of Ellicott City, yet it packs a punch with what it has. Ive been there and its nice. Great section and the service was nice. Totally going to return there when I get my next pay check!

Cool record store. They generally deal in used records. Their selection consists almost entirely of pressings that predated the 90s. With that in mind, the records they have are in very good condition and you can listen to any of them at the provided listening station. The owner(s) seem very knowledgeable when is comes to finding what you are looking for and are willing to help if you need suggestions. They also buy records and anything else analogue that fits their theme. 9/10 because theres no new releases and some of their prices can be beaten online. Otherwise, this place has my business.

Great shop. Stopped in to pick up some CDs after my iPod was stolen. When I shared that with the guy (owner?) at the register he whipped out an old iPod and threw it in for free. That type of kindness is hard to come by these days, so I had to give a shout out.
