One of the best comic shops i have ever been too!Ive known Jared for maybe 15 years and hes one of the coolest guys with a vast knowledge of everything comics. Always super helpful when youre looking for something particular or something new.Great business, Great guy.Will have my business for life!

I have been shopping at Jareds store since he started way back when in a little hole in the wall in Southport. He is always extremely helpful, and gets to know his customers to ascertain their likes when it comes to comics, whether they be older comics or newer. I have purchased both from him, and will continue to do so. I appreciate his courtesy, knowledge and generosity.

This place is amazing! Owner went above and beyond to help us find some new comics we’d like. Prices were great too! When we travel we like to stop at a nearby comic store and this place was the best one we’ve been to. Seriously amazing place, prices, and owner! He was so kind- even gave us big bag and board to fit over our comics since he knew it was raining so much and we were camping. Make sure to stop by and grab something from here!

I cant recommend this place highly enough.. Iwas passing through and decided to stop at this store and could not have been more pleased with my experience. It was the night before FCBD and they were open extended hours setting up for the next day. The owner was super personable and, unlike many shops, wanted me to take my time and rife through boxes etc. The pricing was extremely reasonable and I literally spent 4+ hours digging through box after box and ended with a stack of books that was kinda difficult to carry. Do yourself a favor and visit this store especially if you are a collector that loves to dig.

The gentleman that worked there took the time and worked with my son that was selling back some comics. He explained the process and reasoning and was beyond reasonable with his offer. We sold the books and will be going back.

Was driving through the area today and just happened to google comic shop near me, which led me here. This is a top notch comic book store, with a great, friendly store owner. Its a pleasure to see how many people were coming in to purchase books. Ill definitely be back... hopefully sooner rather than later!!!

Heroes has a large inventory and is of course willing to help you order what youre looking for. Its strictly a comic book shop. That means no tabletop games, video games, and few collectibles. He needs more space and greater organization. Im giving him 5 stars because you should always support your local comic book shop, but really he should have 4 stars. The owner is SUCH a nice guy. The place is clean but cluttered and smells good for comic shop...probably because of the lack of tabletop games. So, buy your comics here and do your gaming at Great Escape Adventures in the Arnot Mall. Gee, if they dont already, both aces should cross market to each other.

Jared is so friendly and helpful! He always helps my children find comics that are both within their interest level and age appropriate. If you call ahead he will pull some titles to help narrow down the choice for your children, very helpful!

This has to be the best comic store that I have been to. Right when you walk in you are transported to simpler times. To times when there is no worry in the world except for things like if Spider-Man is going to defeat the Green Goblin this week or how many people the Joker is going to kill today.The owner of the store is also the most generous and kind store owner I have personally ever met. If you buy a bunch of comics in bulk (even more expensive ones) he will give you a discount every time; for absolutely no reason.He also knows his stuff so if you are a newcomer and if you want to get into a new series but dont know where to start then all you have to do is ask and he will set you right up where you need to be.

He had a lot of great items and the prices were really good as well.

Heroes Your Mom Threw Out is my favorite comic shop to visit. The owner, Jared, is always friendly and helpful and goes the extra mile when it comes to making people happy. Some comic stores only have western style comics or books that only appeal to those who only buy Marvel and DC. At Heroes theres a great variety of comics, graphic novels and manga to reach a wide audience. If youre in the area and are looking for a sweet place to get some comics, look no further!

THE PEOPLE ARE TOO NICE! I always try to tip my waiter but these guys gave me a discount; it feels like the roles are reversed. Ive been to many comic book stores and this one is the best by far!
