They always seem to have what I need. If I can not find where something is, there is some one friendly to ask. Most of the time they will ask you if you need help before you even ask. Great home town place to get any hardware item you need.

Best home/Farm supply option in and around Elwood. Store is always stocked. Staff is friendly, and polite. Store is clean. Managers are very polite. They seem to care for their customers. Prices are a little bit higher then what you would find at The Home Depot/Rural King. But thats almost a No-brainer. Overall my experiences the last Month with visiting this store have been very satisfactory

Fine place to shop & Friendly people & just about anything you need for home I go there often.

Just tried to call 2 times to verify they had least 2 bags of fast set concrete but no one answers the phone and it rings until a recording comes up about being answered by Avia office . Prices are high and not many there have any clue what they sell or where it is. Bought a ground rod for electric meter box and their price instore was quite a few $ more then the true value site has it listed for. Talked to the manager and he looked online as well and told me well we arent exactly a true value, but did give me the ground rod for the online price.

I try so hard to support local. Every time I go to tops they absolutely do NOT have the fittings it parts I need. So I have to either drive into town or order offline.

My experience was ideal. Staff was responsive and competent in providing answers when questions asked. Prices were fair considering how far of a drive saving a few dollars would cost. Hand sanitizer provided

Im glad we have a true value here in town, but if I could buy somewhere else, I definitely wouldnt hesitate. The customer service isnt that great and they follow you around the store, not to help you but to watch you. It makes me feel like I cant even look without feeling as if Im doing something wrong. Im a customer, giving them my business, and getting ready to purchase their products with my money. You would expect to be treated as so, but its absolutely unnecessary and unacceptable for a company, and its not just me either. Theyve gone as far as calling the police on a customer while they shopped and claimed they were shoplifting, and even though no evidence was found they still banned them from the store for life !!!

Not a good place to Browse.after a short while {you will be stalked} this is what happened to me.i was looking for a pulley for riding mower.needs to be a match many sizes shortly worker ask if I need help.no I do not thank you for asking.he left came back stood there with a box like putting it were it belongs it was very very uncomfortable feeling another was peeping around the end of the row went to office let them know I was not going to steal there very over priced pulley. Now i drive 18 miles round trip to get repair parts and hardware its too bad I do small engine repairs ;{not just one time thing 5out of 6 times same thing} everything I have said here is 100% true good place to go if you want feel like a shoplifter . Thank you not a place for looking around.TRY IT..

Manger has an attitude. We had issues with our well...the pump..he was rude during our talk with him. Not very up to date about Wells should refer to others and keep mouth shut and loose attitude. Went back to get valve young man knows nothing. Box empty I asked him to look in back..he o no. Why not get people who know what you sell? I do not shop in Elwood, I would like to support locals but I have to go out of town for what I need. Stores are closing right and left in this town.

Absolutely fantastic staff!! I came in from Anderson and had a major issue with my trailer. The counter personnel and even all the way in the back of the store they were friendly and went out of there way to help me. Its to bad that most places are more concerned about making a buck instead of making a happy and content customer. Any time Im in Elwood I will only shop Tops

Incompetent employees, had three people take an hour of my time to find out the guy I needed to talk to was there the whole time. Then tioo to pieces of plumbing I already bought and put it back on the shelf not once but twice. Then looked at me like I was nuts when I told them they put my stuff back. (The items I showed the check out clerk so I wouldnt be charged twice for when I walked in) I will NEVER go back. And I dont recommend this store to anyone who may need help finding what they need. Go to the box store because its way cheaper and more friendly and actually take the time and effort to train employees.

Went there to get a 2 X 4 8 ft long. None were very good so the man gave us a 10 ft. and said the difference is on him. Great hardware store

It is nice sometimes to have a place like that store around for a few things but if u are getting many items I would drive a little farther away they take advantage on being the only source and up the prices

Im happy that Tops is here in town. They typically have what Im looking for and the prices are fair. The employees will often go out of their way to help.

I live outside Fletcher,OH originally from Indiana. A family member purchased a $300 gift card from the elwood location assuring her it could be used at any tru value hardware location in any state. This was an out-right falsehood. Next step is alerting their local better business bureau for misrepresentation of the products they sell.

No one seems to care if you need help at this store. I have gone in several times and just stood waiting for someone. Everyone either avoids you or ignores you. I tried calling several times too and just sat on hold for way too . Save yourself the trouble and go to Armstrong in Alexandria. They care about you and actively try to help you.

Its a great place because all of the people are very helpful and nice and you have a great selection just like a home town hardware store.

Waited outside for them to load or come out waited forever no one ever showed so i loaded up myself. Rude and just not the way to do it. Its called work people.

Ive been back and forth to Tops several times in a month already and they still have not yet restock up several items I needed and each time I reported that theyre all out of stock, they kept on saying theyll be here in few more days but still not stocked up nothing! I decided to go to Menards in Muncie where they have got plenty of everything there plus the prices were way lot cheaper than at Tops, Worth it my trips to Mendards!
