Found out the oil filter they installed was not OEM parts. It was aftermarket, made in China, junk products and my husband thought he paid for authentic BMW parts. This place is a RIP off. The dealer pushes cheaper parts that negatively affect your vehicle. The dealer makes huge profits off these parts. You have to request OEM parts or they will give you cheaply made inferior parts. You have to check your receipt carefully because they do not ask which type of part you prefer. Oil changes are not cheap, even with the inferior parts. We do not recommend this dealer. Ask the dealer questions BEFORE you have your car serviced here.
Had issues a year ago with poor communication/updates on vehicle when in for service. When changing the wiper blades out the one wiper that is down under the hood suddenly broke/quit working. Worked fine when I dropped it off and then the motor “died” suddenly. Most likely from just pulling the wiper up to change rather than taking the time to lift the hood. Waited a couple of weeks for new motor to come from Germany, I had to call several times to get updates. Spoke with manager and was apologetic. Went to different bmw for service after that and had top notch service. Windshield got a crack so thought I would take it back to the dealer I bought it and the windshield warranty from. After confirming the windshield was ordered and was at the dealer, when I showed up I was told I had to call and file claim or pay the $2k out of pocket and then get the warranty company to reimburse me. So let me get this straight, I buy a car from you, I buy a windshield warranty from you, I call and schedule appt for windshield, call back and confirm windshield is there, upon arrival I’m told I have to do the legwork to get the windshield preapproved by warranty company and that when scheduling a windshield I should have been transferred to a service advisor, so they can inform me of the process and he doesn’t know why that didn’t happen. So after driving close to an hour each way with SD traffic. I’m no better off.***I will not go back to this dealer for service or to purchase another vehicle. ** Better dealers out there.
A very good experience with Art Alvarez and his team of technicians at BMW Encinitas! Art answered my questions and kept me apprised of the status of my vehicle. He took great care in listening to me, and resolved the issues I was having with my vehicle. Art provided a Lyft ride to my home and back to the dealership to pick up my car. Outstanding service by all involved. Thank you!
Great place to bring your bmw
My car went in for yearly service on Dec. 21, 2020. And I wanted them to check/fix my sun/moon roof since it makes noise when its closing. As of today (2/11/21) its been 8 weeks. I still dont have my car. All they saying is parts are still not here.. Barely update calls.I have 2018 car and very little mileage on it.The car is in pristine condition. The Autonation (Nextdoor) messed up install my sun roof initially back in 2019 when I had a flying rocks accidents on the freeways. They(Autonation) tried to fix it 2 times and this was the third time I noticed the problem. When they tried 2nd time, they said it was an alignment issue. I dont know what is the real problem right now, cause all I hear is need parts. The accident chipped lots of glasses & body in my car. The sun roof was one of the victim. They removed the sun roof, fixed and installed it. Ever since, my sun roof makes unnatural clanking noise.I got my car in 2019, accident happened later in 2019. My car was in bodyshop about 3 months, which I understood. However, I noticed the clanking noise from the sun roof right away after I got my car back, so I brought in Jan. 2020.Since it was Autonations responsibility, they fixed it. It took them few days. It was their 2nd attempt. Then I needed to bring the car in Dec. 2020 for yearly maintenance service. Since I hear this clanking noise again, I mentioned it. I thought they are able to fix it within few days. Now its been 2 months and I do not know when its going to be fixed for sure.
The worst car buying experience ever. Bought a CPO BMW with 35k miles. Find out it’s leaking out the valve cover, the turbo was broken, the seats were dyed and the color came off, and also it was overfilled 2 quarts of oil.Once I brought up the dye coming off the seats to my salesperson he claimed “we don’t dye seats here”. Spoke with the GM and he told me to bring it in. The remedy? To have their interior guy dye the seats.I performed an oil change on my car and found it was extremely overfilled. I spoke to the service manager who claimed “we billed 5 quarts, that means 5 quarts was put in” and was very rude about it. I have the oil right in front of me. I use a clean dry drain pan before every oil change to monitor the oil quality yet he still continued to imply I’m a liar yet I have 7 quarts of oil right in front of me that came out the vehicle. I also found they don’t use genuine BMW parts, I got a “premium guard” Chinese oil filter out which I found out online is what autonation uses as their supplier. I doubt the oil is genuine BMW if they’re skimping on the filter. This place is a joke, purchase your vehicle from an actual BMW dealership that doesn’t botch cars together to make them presentable for sale.Horrid.
Best Service Department I have ever worked with. They are on top of their appts /loaners, etc. I purposely drive 26 miles out of my way to use this service department. Best ever!
Great customer service! and the service was really fast!
Everyone at the service department is cool but Arthur is the greatest! Hes my go-to Service Advisor as he always tries his hardest to accommodate the needs of my vehicle. Overall the service advisors are great but their prices are really high.
You get the level of service that you expect from this brand, premium
Great service. They performed a used car inspection as fast as possible.
