This is the best 4 x 4 shop in the Denver Metro area. Every time I call for a problem they fairly and accurately diagnose the problem and come through with a fix. My latest issue was worn out control arms on a low end lift kit system. Toyota said need a new lift kit, which if I was not on a fixed income would be doable. Mile High took a look and put high end control arms that worked with current lift. They were a lot cheaper on fix bid and threw in a military discount to boot. Love, love coming to this shop. Trustworthy and competent! Highly recommend!!BC

High Country 4x4 is the best. Friendly staff, great customer service. I took my Ram in because I had new spacers I wanted to replace. When EVERYONE was telling me they didnt know if they would fit and how I should just leave the other spacers on, High Country said, No problem. They made it so easy, it was exactly as they said nothing more, nothing less. They are the place for 4x4 work. They are clear on the other side of town for me but, I will use them from now on. The extra time and distance is well, WELL worth it. High Country you are the #1 stop in Colorado for 4x4 work!!!!

Wow! Great customer service and work. Definitely the best experience of any auto repair I have ever had. Nick and Josh were great throughout the whole process. They had everything well documented. These guys are incredible. John listened to all my thousands of questions, endlessly explored options for suspension upgrades on my 2015 Ram 1500 and navigated a pandemic -elated supply chain disruption. Very rare to find operations that are truly experts in their fields and have a customer-focused approach.

John was great and easy to work with. The guys did a good and honest job of working on my truck to get it the way I want, and were flexible with my unique situation. Id definitely recommend them. Good work aint cheap, and cheap work aint good. HCP4X4 isnt the cheapest place out there, but they do good work in a reasonable amount of time.

Purchased four KO2 tires for my Jeep JKU. Went with High Country expecting superior service compared to a big tire chain which was slightly less expensive. I was told to arrive at 2PM and it would take about 1 hour. I was at the shop for over 3 hours. I paced in front of the counter and was told they are just about to work on it a few times. When it was finally done, I shared my frustration. I was told other things came up and they couldnt have done anything about it. I said as a courtesy to their customers time, they should have told me it was significantly delayed and then I either would have gone home and returned, or simply come back another day. Overall a very frustrating experience. Tire install was fine, the KO2s have been awesome.

I had a great experience at HCP4x4. I want to give a shout out to Ryan in particular. He patiently answered all of my questions over several calls before I committed to a suspension overhaul. They completed the work quickly and Ive had no issues since the install.

What a great place to start, continue, and finish! Like others have said, you can dip your toes or go all in when it comes to building your rig. These folks are THE best at working with you to zero in on what you really need/want/can afford:-) now to take that next step in off-roading, with the option of adding later...I will be adding later, but its a great start!

CBI Offroad recommended High Country Performance 4x4 to me after I refused to go back to the 4x4 shop that is 5 minutes down the street from my house. Id had 2 terrible experiences locally and didnt want to pursue a third, so I drove the hour and a half to HCP on their recommendation. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Ryan, who was our Triage Man was the most kind, considerate, helpful guy. He always was patient with me when I had questions and he made me feel like a valuable customer. They did such a phenomenal job on our truck. They did everything we wanted and they even came up with a custom solution to a problem I could not figure out. HCP4x4 truly is the best. The guys there had good customer service, but that’s about all I can give them from my experience. I installed a dirtbound steering kit on my 96 xj and brought it to them for alignment. I requested that they look over it and make any necessary alterations in case I didn’t do it right. I gladly would have paid extra to have my wrongs fixed but I was told everything looked good and they sent me on my way. Almost immediately I could hear metal rubbing on metal, checked and my tie rod is rubbing against the control arm bracket on my axle, the jam nut came loose within a couple weeks, and after further research I have found that the configuration of the steering rods are not right for the application I have so I’ll have to tear it all apart and reconfigure it.. definitly won’t be spending another $200 for an alignment here

The service and professionalism exhibited by the HCP 4X4 was incredible. Contact Ryan, he’ll insure you get the proper equipment you need an keep you from purchasing accessories that are inadequate or unnecessary. If they say the did the work, reassured it was done correctly and you won’t have to worry when you hit the trail with your family aboard about everyone’s safety. If you want it done right at a fair price. Then this is where you need to go.

High Country installed a soft-top for me, but there was a missing part from the factory (due to COVID-related production delays). After trying for weeks to locate the missing part from various sources, High Country offered (without prompting from me) to reinstall a new, upgraded top that was available at no additional cost to me. Amazing service, including not making up excuses for their suppliers challenges. They just made everything right for me.

Recently had the folks at HCP4x4 install a new suspension on my 05 T4R. Not only was the service exceptional (thanks again, CJ!), but the crew was able to do it in less than a day! Highly suggest and will return!

I purchased a full set of Bilstein 5100 shocks and a Bilstein 5100 steering stabilizer from them. The price was the same as internet pricing with excellent service. When I asked about installing the shocks, they quoted a reasonable hourly rate; however, I decided to install them myself. I purchased F350 4 x 4 used, and there was a question if it was lifted or not. When I pulled up to pick up the shocks, I ask them; two of their guys ran out and jumped under the truck to take a look. It is clear that they are 4x4 enthusiasts and love their work. The shop is a 50-minute drive from my house; I prefer to do business with people who want to do quality work with companies who strive to do good work, so I will gladly use them for additional 4x4 work. I strongly recommended them.

Great experience with HCP 4x4 again. I have been there many times over the past several years, back to previous build of a 2015 Jeep Sport JK. This year, stepped up to Jeep JL Rubicon, and HCP 4x4 re-geared to Dana Spicer 488(their first such regear on Jeep JL). So far everything riding perfect, gears are silky smooth, and it has brought back power to the 3.6 Auto on 37 x 13.5 Ridge Grapplers. Expert knowledgeable staff, including John, CJ and Brady, who were able to guide me through the entire process, and recommendations based on my style of driving. Highly recommend visiting this local shop and staff, especially over any less qualified 4x4 chain stores.

Ive brought my 2013 Ford Raptor to High Country to replace my shocks and last week to install Icon rear leaf springs. Their labor cost was very competitive and as usual the quality off work was excellent. They asked that I bring it back after 500 miles to make sure everything is OK. Highly recommended!!

I shopped around looking for the right place to do some major upgrades to my 2018 Jeep JL. While other places certainly did the work, Ryan and all the folks I talked with at HCP4x4 were most responsive to my questions, patient as I made sure I was choosing the right work and right parts, and did the work right the first time. Ryan especially surprised me with his willingness to help get answers to some of my questions before we did the work. I never felt pressured. I honestly cant say Ive had this level of engagement with the sales staff anywhere else. I initially picked HCP4x4 because the reviews that said these guys are the pros in their space. Brady was a great help, (all the guys I talked to where great for that matter) I took an 85 CJ7 in cause I was having issues with a disc brake conversion that I did. Now if you are in to Jeeps most CJs are no longer stock. So it takes a good knowledgeable mechanic to figure or make something work. These guys were able to figure out why it wasnt working an got it fixed. Quickly too. They also found some other problems and Brady work with me to get them fixed an still keep it within my very limited budget. I cant thank the guys enough. The jeep drives and brakes better then ever! :) It s a long haul from Erie, but I think its well worth it and will be taking it back for some future work as the funds become available. Thanks again. Have had suspension work done on an XJ and a Tacoma here... both times were 10 out of 10 on work quality and service. Went to another shop once for another XJ, huge mistake. They also did the Tacoma work slightly UNDER what they quoted. Thanks guys!

This shop is incredible when it comes to customer service. I needed some off-road recovery equipment. The issue being it was Saturday and they closed at 3:00pm and I called them at 2:55pm. I spoke with a gentleman named Chris. Not only was he willing to keep the shop open for me, Chris was waiting by the door when I got there. He did not rush me out, even though I was keeping him and the rest of the employees from their weekend. He provided me with a high level of customer service and I will be a return customer 100%. Awesome shop & I would highly recommend.

This place is amazing. I recently had my engine in my 08’ Sahara replaced and the help throughout the whole process was just absolutely top-notch. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Brady mainly, and a few of the other counter guys also. They’re always professional and they go out of their way to make sure you and your vehicle are taken care of. I highly recommend. I will probably see you there as I will be back for ALL of my upgrades and basic maintenance.

They did a great job with my new suspension and tires! I sent the car back to the dealer twice because they couldnt get the car aligned correctly, these guys did it perfectly! Very impressed!!! Unfortunately, my bumpers shipped a month late but thats on the manufacturer and not on HCP. I just have to bring in my car later to get the whole job done.

I came in to see Owen with practically no knowledge or background on what I wanted to do to my F150. He spent nearly 2 hours with me building a package that best suited my needs and was cost effective. Also loved how I got text message updates on the status of my repair throughout the day. Prices were competitive with other shops as well. I have fallen in love with my truck all over again and can’t wait to test everything out in the mountains in the near future!

I haven’t had any work done by High Country yet but I stopped by the other day to check out the showroom and discuss some work I might want done. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and familiar with anything I wanted done/fabricated. I’ll update this post once I have work done but it’s worth a visit just to check out their product offerings.

Did my tires and wheels first, everything went great. Then did a 2.5 lift a month later. Came out amazing, and slightly less than expected. Great shop, great report, great people. Buy your stuff here. I worked with CJ. He was very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions

I got my truck mildly lifted here a while back. I worked with mostly Josh & CJ, but a couple other guys helped me too. Everyone I dealt with was extremely knowledgeable & professional. I went in for my 500 mile check-up they do as a courtesy without an appointment & they got me in & out in under an hour. Its apparent they love what they do, & helping others accomplish exactly what they want. I cant be happier with the job they did. I dont foresee having any issues but if I do Im confident they wouldnt think twice about taking care of me.Thank you HCP4X4!

Im not sure if it gets any better than these guys. They are *top* notch.When I brought my 25 year old Jeep in, it needed a thorough overhaul, inside and out. These guys handled every single detail, including coordinating with various shops to get paint, stereo, bed lining, etc. They kept me in the loop every step of the way.I know he gets inundated, because hes the best, but honestly, having Brady handle things was a total game changer. When things needed attention, he made sure he brought it to completion and did so with total integrity.I have a high standard as a buyer, especially when Im spending a lot and these guys deserve every penny.

Very good quality and very knowledgeable. I have a 2001 Tundra and aftermarket parts are hard to find online. Anything I need or am thinking about doing to my vehicle, they have a lot of knowledge on where to find the things I need. They take care of me and my family very well and are my number one go to for anything aftermarket to my vehicle. Could not be more satisfied by their work and knowledge by all the representatives. Always greeted immediately upon entrance and the work is worth every penny. Best shop in town for anything you need.

Ive had great experiences with High Country, and will never go to another shop. The big box 4 wheel parts is good, they have the big name, but they dont have the personal experience you get with High Country. They will listen to any idea you have and give you honest knowledgeable feedback, and are willing to go the extra mile, even if its not an everyday easy to find part or service. Where with 4 wheel parts, theyre only interested in pumping out as many sales as they can in a day, and if youre not spending over 5k they dont really care about your project.

These guys are five stars for a reason. Not only do they have EXCELLENT prices and knowledge, but they actually have EXCELLENT customer service. Had forgotten what that was! I was kept in the loop, and things came in ahead of schedule and under budget (realize this can’t always happen), but the guys were super accommodating and helpful. I’ll be back with my JK and my CJ for years to come.

This place rocks. Im a Ford F150 guy and everyone I come in here they treat me great, and are very helpful. This trip was for an aftermarket front grill installation that I received as a gift. They answered all my questions, addressed my concerns and got my scheduled. Quick tip, because they do such great work here they are always scheduled a couple weeks out, keep that in mind when you come in.

In the past, Ive had issues with shops being purposefully vague in efforts to get more money out of me, which has left me weary about who I trust my Jeep with. But High Country walked me through the issue so thoroughly, making sure I completely understood all of my repair options. Very happy with the service and professionalism of the team here. When I was just shopping, they were very helpful - building out a quote for a system that fit my actual needs and budget, no pressure sales and education on parts. When I finally came back months later, with my own kit that I built and purchased from Thuren Fabrications, they were just as happy to help and install for me - the install quote for worked didnt change either. On pick-up, I was explained how the install went, problems and the resolutions they took, and the finished product was perfect. A week or so later was called and reminded to come in for a re-torque. What a great shop! All of the staff have been extremely helpful and patient with my questions whenever I come to the shop. I am new to the 4x4 world and theyve explained tires, usage of hi-lifts, lift kit options, armor, and more to me. I had them install air bags on my 4Runner and they did a fantastic job. They are my shop of choice now!

We had our FJ Cruiser re-geared and armored up. These guys really knew what they were talking about, and were very friendly and professional. I have used Hi Country performance X 12 years on three different vehicles. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. You pay for what you get and that is the case with High Country. The fact that you often have to wait several weeks to schedule work is indicative of how in demand their services are. If they recommend a part it will perform. They back up their work. Bottom line, they know what they are doing.

By far the best 4x4 lift shop in town, Ive taken past trucks to other shops and they seem to take longer while charging more, high country 4x4 is honest about pricing and does a good job. I am afraid to take my vehicles anywhere else if i am gonna do anything after market too it.

I drive in the mountains...a lot...and decided to install a grill guard to add some safety against frequent wildlife on the roads. I called High Country and asked what they would recommend. They found exactly what I needed and set the appointment to work with my limited availability. Loved that! I dropped it off and they were done within a few hours. It looks awesome! The price was almost the same as the online pricing I found, so I believe they are fair. Installation was reasonable and I am very pleased with the entire outcome! Above and beyond! I had a boring wheel / tire swap and showed up on a weekday morning without an appointment. At first they said all the bays were full, but then they decided to use a good ol fashioned jack to lift my F350, add the necessary spacers and get me down the road! Saved me a few big hassles by squeezing me in.

Built my crawling-capable JK and maintained it over the years (2009). Most recently new tires. Always top quality, and taking care to inspect the important stuff before my next foray to the mountains and desert.

I just had new gears, lockers, and an on board air system installed on my Jeep. I couldnt be happier with the customer service on the front end, the follow ups as the work progressed, and of course the work itself. CJ did a great job working with me and recommending a system that reflects how Ill use my Jeep. Jon and the guys at 4X4 did such a great job working on my Jeep! The staff was extremely knowledgable and helpful. They installed new wheels, tires, and lift kit in under 48 hours and my jeep runs like a dream. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody that is looking to get some work done on their vehicle.

Nothing but great things to say about these guys. I was experiencing some intermittent issues with my Land Cruiser and brought to High Country not simply to replace some parts but more importantly to diagnose to root causes of the problems. They spent several hours going over my truck to determine what needed to be done, and performed the repairs promptly and at a reasonable rate.
