I bought my Jeep Liberty from Greg and it was a great experience! It was the first time I bought a car on my own, and as a single female I appreciated how professional and honest Greg was during our whole experience. I really love my car and I am grateful that I had an easy straight forward experience so that I could enjoy the car that I really wanted.
Greg sold me a Ford F-150 with the promise that the spark plugs had been replaced because that is a common problem around the 60-100k mark for the 5.4 Triton motor. More than 12 months later my truck starts shuttering during acceleration and after having it checked by my mechanic they determined that 2 of the cylinders quite working and that they recommend a complete spark plug replacement. After having all of the spark plugs replaced, my mechanic pointed out that the spark plugs (pictured below) were actually the original spark plugs from the manufacturer, thus indicating that they were in fact not replaced like Greg at All Star Cars had assured me of. The repair cost me over $700 dollars. Obviously, I decided to call Greg and ask for compensation for his incorrect condition of sale and for the records from the mechanic that did the repair but Greg denied all responsibility and informed me that his mechanic moved out of state and thus he does not have access to any previous repair records. Suffice to say the All-Star Difference, as posted on their website, is not so different then unfortunate stories you hear about used car salesmen manipulating the facts just to make the sale and then claiming ignorance when confronted. I would recommend that you do not buy a truck from all star cars unless you bring your mechanic with you to run a full diagnostic (because Greg does not allow you to take it to a mechanic) before you purchase.
They posted a Craigslist ad under owner and it wasnt until I got there that I found out this was a Dealer. Communication was terrible the owner would never answer the phone and took an average of 4 hours to answer email. I asked multiple times to have pictures sent to me every time was simply ignored. I drove 45 minutes each way only to see the ugliest mint green color I have ever seen. I wouldnt have made the drive if they would have sent pictures as requested. I asked for a bottle of water and was given water in a filthy cup. They also only sell vehicles they get from auction. My experience is there is a reason vehicles are at the auction. During the appointment that i drove so long for somebody came in but rather having them wait a couple minutes the owner allowed this gentlemen to take over my appointment. I highly recommend you dont search here unless your looking for a lack of professionalism.
