First time I felt robbed. People, just don’t call some product of something that you don’t know what it is.Ww have been in this place last year, didn’t like the ice cream. As soon as saw a new banner, we went there to check.We ordered the açai “bowl”. The price is a regular price for this, $9 for a bowl with 5 toppings.When we received it, I just felt like returning it, but they had a line, and some people just left to being waiting, so I didn’t. The “bowl” was extremely small, with few slices of strawberry and banana and a 1/2 tbsp of the peanut butter.I really don’t know if they don’t know what is a açaí bowl or if this is just normal for them, but this is not. The portion of açaí, is less than if you buy the smallest açaí at Walmart, for $3.Guys, please, just fix this. Make the açaí creamer, put some bigger pieces of fruits, make the bowl a real bowl. You still make money and will let people happier. The front yard to hang is just amazing.

The only problem I have when visiting Swirls-N-Curls is not knowing which item on the menu I want to try!!! I’ve tried several different flavors of ice cream, had a variety of their milk shakes and swirls, and even had their Açaí bowls… all of them 10/10! You can’t go wrong with any of the menu choices. I’ll definitely be visiting again next time my family and I are vacationing into the area!

Been here a couple times. Just left after getting a Peanut Butter Cup Arctic Swirl with Peanut Butter Drizzle on top.I watched the girl in back put a big scoop of nuts on the top. And then another girl took it and scooped the nuts off the top. Then I watched them put it back to the machine to mix it up. But I never asked for nuts. And it ruined the whole thing. Tasted like a vanilla ice cream and nuts. Very disappointed.

A big selection of smoothies, Acai bowls, soft serve, hard serve, Sundays, iced coffee, you name it. I love the outside seating especially when theres no many people. Nice place to get ice cream with family and sit around enjoying the breeze..

Friendly staff reasonable rates

I visited Swirls-N-Curls last night October. 13th 2021 and ordered a 2 scoop hot fudge sundae and a turtle sundae. What I got when I got home was a baby container with 2 scoops of vanilla ice-cream smashed into a little cup and my turtle sundae was soft serve ice-cream with a dab of hot fudge and carmel with some spanish peanuts for $14.13. I hadnt been up to Swirl -N-Curls for a couple years and will not be returning. I could of went to McDonalds and got there ice cream hot fudge sundae for $1.50.. What a rip off.

I love there banana splits. My daughter is always trying something new.

I’m leaving two stars because the ice cream WAS in fact delicious and the employee was polite and efficient. However, I went with 4 members of my family and every single one of us developed food poisoning soon after consuming our ice cream. The employee was preparing orders without wearing gloves, even though he was handling money as well. It’s hard to say whether it was because of the unsanitary practices or the ice cream itself, but we’re still recovering from our symptoms which developed shortly after our visit here for all 4 of us. If employees continue to not wear gloves, I will most likely not be returning despite how good the ice cream was.

Any negative reviews of this place are people complaining about the mask policy, or nitpicking things while the place is super busy. when we pulled up it was hard to find a spot and several more cars still pulled up behind us. the peanut butter fudge was awesome. it did come out a bit slow for only 3 scoops for 3 of us but it was a little busy so i understand. overall really great

The ice cream was delicious and were grateful that a lady gave us ice cream even though they were closed. I wouldve given 5 stars if it werent for the teenager with a huge attitude problem. She was rude. She kept rolling her eyes at us and getting irritated having to ask if we wanted cups or cones. We even said Thank you and she slammed the window close without saying anything back. Its sad because I was attempting to tip the nice lady who gave us ice cream $5 but the teenaged girls attitude was so off-putting.

If you like ice cream then this place is for you. They have both hard and soft-serve ice cream with loads of flavors. Great quality, on the pricey side but worth the money.

I ordered a Power Bowl, which was $8.When the employee handed it to me, I thought there was a mistake, because it came in a really tiny container. It tasted decent, but definitely a laughable price for the tiny amount youre given.

Waiting next door at the Shear Sailing Salon, the young gentleman serving my sundae ice cream was polite and got my order perfect for me. This made my 2 hour wait fun.

Really good ice cream at a reasonable price. If you live by this place you know what I mean. Even if you dont live close to here in Englewood, it is worth the drive for sure.

Boba was good, but I wont return because the employee seemed absolutely miserable. Couldnt answer any questions about the menu & took about 8 mins to make 2 drinks and another 8 mins to make the other 2. There was people leaving the line after realizing it was taking so lonh

My first time coming to this place and Im already disappointed. Ordered two scoops of ice cream and a banana split the ice cream literally was one scoop and the other one I wouldnt even count as a scoop it was like so small the other ice cream places I go around here give you a good size ice cream scoop my total came to $16 she said that my change was $4.50 I didnt even get all my change back she just handed me $4 I didnt say anything because you know there was already a big line of people behind me and she was already being rude to me. I asked her what the price was for the scoops of ice cream before I ordered and she just mumbled and didnt even tell me the prices. I do not recommend this place. Rip offs

Our first stop there! They had a wide variety of ice cream selections. There were four of us and each chose a different ice cream. We all agreed that the ice cream was good!!

I went on Mother’s Day with my whole family. I have five kids so it was clear I was a MOTHER. I didn’t wear a masks and I guess that mothers ho don’t wear masks do not receive flowers? Every other female (not even children with them), were granted flowers. It’s just the principal of the matter. I feel like the owner was taunting me also because she came out from the store and hand delivered some to another sitting next to me.

Ordered online and arrived at designated pick up time. Order was not ready and those who walked up and ordered after my arrival got their ice cream before mine came out. Got home and my wifes was not in the waffle cup she paid for but in a paper cup. My milk shake was okay but it was not worth the cost. Next time I will drive across the street and go to Winn Dixie and get Blue Bell.

The worst Boba tea I have ever had! I ordered 2 Thai tea with tapioca boba and a mango white tea with tapioca boba also. It took more than 15 minutes to get the drinks. The cream was separating in the drink. Pretty disappointing.

Very disappointed with my visit today. Lady at the window acted like we were crazy for not having masks on while ordering ice-cream outdoors. She had no problem touching the money and doubt she washed her hands before grabbing my cone. Then the biggest disappointment was the stale sprinkles. Was my first and only visit.

If you dont wear a mask they treat you like a disease. Will never go back. Ice cream is not home made. Sprinkles are stale. They are so worried bout the rona. They make you put your money in a cup but yet dont sanitize the cup and touch everything youve touched. I didnt see gloves being worn. Never. Again.

Try the fudge brownie ice cream and thank me later! Today our group had a banana split that filled up hubby, a sundae and root beer float. All delicious and all served with courtesy. Great staff and a nice little outdoor eating area that lets to social distance.

This has been one of my favorite places to get icecream &hangout for yrs because of the games &seating area, however today I ordered a kid size icecream along with my order for the first time and Im pretty appalled at the price. It came to 3.75 for the kids cup which was a TINY (great size for a little kid dont get me wrong) cup of vanilla soft serve with peanut butter sauce on top. I think thats ridiculously over priced for the serving size that you get. I could buy practically a gallon of icecream at the grocery store for that and it was soft serve, not even hard scoop which I know is more expensive bc its made in smaller batches. Not sure Ill be back any time soon. Just figured Id warn/ give a heads up to any parents of little ones in the area who are headed here. ✌🏼

Do not advertise Bubble Tea when you all do not even know what it is. Ridiculous! Stop trying to make Asian food when you know nothing about it, especially when your employees are stupidly ignorant of it.

I was there with my young son. I am deaf in one ear and have 65% hearing loss in the other. Have been coming here for a long time but will never be back. We walked up to order ice cream and the young man behind counter said 6 feet back according to my son. I tried to explain that I was hearing impaired but he insisted I stand 6 feet back. I then asked can you at least lower your mask so I can see exactly what you are saying and he wouldn’t. Very rude and very disrespectful. That’s probably a $1500 dollar mistake as we most likely spent that a year with our family and friends at this establishment. But never again.

Havent been here in awhile and brought 8 family members visiting the area tonight. For $48 the scoops were more like half of the scooper size. It took only 2 bites to eat the top one. Extremely disappointed. I will make the drive and go somewhere else next time!

Thw man that waited on my children and I was very helpful. Great selection of ice creams 🍦 as well as many other delicious items 😋. My new favorite local neighborhood creamery.

Lots of choices for flavors and variety of desserts like smoothies, soft serve ice cream, hard scoop ice cream, frappes, etc. Lots of seating options. Got soft serve, which was pretty good. The mango sorbet tasted way too sweet. It wasnt refreshing (no tang) and didnt taste lighter/healthier than ice cream. Tons and tons of bugs though. We were eaten up alive and our car was covered in bugs by the time we left (15 mins). When we stepped out of the car the ground was swarming with insects!

I live in north port and just happened to be in the area and wanted some ice cream so I stopped at swirls. I purchased 3 (standard sized)scoops and asked for it with a lid to go as I wanted to eat it later. I was shocked when he told me it was $9 something (almost $10), I should have just said forget it and left but I didn’t want to make a scene. I’m sure the prices were listed somewhere but the board is huge and has so many flavors and items to choose from. Very overwhelming when trying to hurry and make a selection especially if you’ve never been there before. As for the ice cream, it’s nothing special. It wasn’t bad but definitely doesn’t stand out as being fabulous or over the top. I won’t be back and I definitely would never recommend to any one.

Wish zero stars was an option! We ordered through door dash, our dasher explained to us that they refused to make our order until the “line went down” when our dasher got to the establishment there was no one there. She had to wait until everyone else was served( a huge group of people arrived AFTER our order was placed and the dasher was already there). She told me it was young boys serving everyone, most likely the boys all the other bad reviews are about. They didn’t complete our order until I called and complained in which he basically said the dasher lied about why the order wasn’t being completed 🙃. Never have Experienced such horrendous customer service in my life!! We will not be back! 🤬

Good Ice cream - fair customer service. On a fairly windy and full sunny day, I took my grandson for an ice cream. Unfortunately for me, I came on a day when they had no customers and 2 workers not willing to be of any assistance. No offering of help, no offering of raising the umbrella, no offering of anything. They open the window ask for your order, close the window, open the window and take your money. Give you your order, close the window. Owners should train their employees on helping others, being friendly and thanking them for their support and welcoming them back. This was not the case for us on this day.

Had a delicious soft serve swirl and the service was great! Prices were right. Just wish they had chocolate dipped option for a topping. Would definitely go back for some of the creative concoctions.

Beware this place is the biggest Karen in Port Charlotte. They flip out and yell at people to stay 6 feet back when placing an order. They have weird signs everywhere about not taking pictures of them and they are seriously afraid of Covid. Although they do have Superman ice cream

I went here and I ordered one Sunday one scoop of mint chocolate chip a waffle bowl with one scoop of banana and one scoop of key lime pie I paid for my ice cream the lady handed it to me and I went home when I went home I realized I did not have my scoop of key lime pie so I called the Ice cream shop to ask them if I could just get it next time I come in and the lady litteritly screamed at me over the phone when she handed me the ice cream I seen the scoop of banana ice cream and I just assumed they key lime would be underneath it I did not realize I didn’t have it until I went home I guess that’s the problem I paid 20 bucks for this and the banana ice cream I threw away Because it tasted like pudding and I didn’t get my other scoop

LOVED IT!!! However, next time Ill remember the junior banana split is the same size as the senior except for missing 1/2 of a banana. I could not eat it all! But, it was tasty! My husband enjoyed the butter pecan ice cream and the rest of my JUNIOR banana split! 😁
