I can say nothing bad about the customer service, theyre very knowledgable and really nice. The part I love about them is the fact that they have a variety of handguns to rent that you can shoot if youre undecided on what you want. 5 stars is not over rating at all, I highly recommend giving them a chance to earn your business

I called to ask about FFL charges and John was so patient and professional that I decided to ask him if he had either of the guns I was about to purchase online. Sure glad I did. Better pricing than I could find any where and John took the time to discuss all of my questions. Picked up my guns the next morning. Excellent experience all around!

Great place to go if you just want to shoot pistols. Also if you are law enforcement, bring a photo ID and you can use the range free of charge.

Great firearms store! The customer service was outstanding! Parents went in looking for some new pistols and the young gentleman helped them select a pistol that fit their needs and that they could handle. Even asked then to do a test shoot with their store pistols to see if it met their needs before the purchase. Great place will go back when I am in Alabama.

Shoot here every week sometimes twice a week. Enjoyable range time. Nice people. Good selection of g7ns and accessories. Bonus good selection of rental guns if you want to try something new. I have edited my review for 2018. Went 2x this week since they reopened. Firearms pricing is very competitive now. Much bigger selection. I always liked it here and find the changes made to be positive in right direction.

My friend and I went for a private lesson as neither of us had ever shot a gun before. From start to finish our experience couldnt have been any better. Our instructor was very friendly and patient. He took his time to explain everything in detail and made sure we felt comfortable and confident in everything we did. Him and his staff definitely went above and beyond for our first visit to the range to make it enjoyable and for us to feel comfortable. The affordable price was an added bonus! We will be going back soon for sure!

Purchased a S&W Bodyguard 380 on Saturday 14 Dec 2013 along with a box of DRT 380 AUTO 85 grain HP and a spare mag. Got the gun home and cleaned it and loaded it, racked a round into the chamber and dropped the mag, tried to rack the round out of the chamber and the slide wouldnt move, took me 4 hours off and on to clear the round. Took the gun back to the shop on Monday morning and told them what had happened. They said it was because the gun wasnt broken in yet, I should use ball ammo in it until it was broken in. I purchased 150 rounds and went into their indoor range and the pistol jammed, misfired, failed to feed or failed to eject on almost every (6 round) magazine. I came out and complained again, and again was told it still wasnt broken in, it wouldnt be until I had fired 300 or so rounds through it. I went back several more times this week to fire the requisite 300 rounds with no improvement. Complained again and was told this time I wasnt holding it tight enough, so I went back Saturday 21 December 2013 and fired an additional 50 rounds making sure I held the weapon tight and didnt allow any rise when firing, it actually did worse. Went out and complained again. The person who appeared to be in charge took the weapon and fired it himself and it did the same thing. Then another person took the weapon back and fired it using a store mag and it did the same thing. This guy fired it several times and finally came out and said I had a bad mag, but offered no explanation as to why it was doing it with all mags. I asked them to take it back and they said if they did and they sent it back to S&W that they would be charged so I should just send it back. I asked if I could exchange it for a different gun and they said sure, but wouldnt give me full credit for what I had paid them just 7 days prior for the gun, they were offering me almost $150.00 less.I bent over backwards to work with this company. I spent close to $200.00 in range fees and ammo to break in the weapon to finally determine the weapon was defective. I even added an additional $21.00 in ammo and range time to prove it wasnt my grip that was causing the problems.I understand their no refund policy if I had just changed my mind about the weapon, but they sold a defective weapon and took the attitude that it wasnt their problem.I bent over backwards to work with this company, in turn they just bent me over.There are lots of other gun shops and ranges in this area, use one of them, stay away from these folks.

These guys a gals are awesome. Always super polite. Super knowledgeable, and if theyre ever out of what you need (which is very rare) theyll order it for you immediately. If Lock n Load were a person Id marry it. Yeah thats right.

First time at a shooting range and loved it! The staff took time to help me understand the process of buying a pistol, shooting it as well. Very informative and helpful! They also offer specials on different days.

Ok, so this is the first time I have been to Lock and Load since it changed owners. The hours got shorter on the weekend, and they would not open up the second shooting bay even though there was a 20+ minute wait (they did not want to have to clean). Once we got in the range and started shooting, the air exchanger was not running. I had to quit shooting and leave because it was getting hard to breathe and I even Pretty disappointed with the changes in rules and how cheap they seem to be (Buy not running air exhaust and making for hazardous health conditions)

I have been going to lock n load for years. Lisa and her staff was awesome with the exception of Mr Sonnie that does not know how to talk costumers. The same issue happen yesterday when I went to use the range, his disrespecful ways. To the point that he stop my range to do maintenance and was screaming at me and my partner. We pay for the full time 1hr but he cut or time. I am a retire Army Master Sergeant and know how to talk to people.

Get over yourself. Especially the skinny guy with the hipster beard and ear piercing. Just cause you work at a gun shop does not give you the right to be rude. Went in to buy a gun but didnt even look because of the attitude presented to me. Go to Kauffmans, much better selection and way more professional and courtious.

The thing that ruins our experience everytime is seeing that grumpy old man still working there. Every time we go in he has an attitude and makes faces at us. We definetly dont buy guns there thanks to him due to the fact he denied us a firearm when we had proper paperwork and clean record (ik this for a fact because that same firearm was sold to us in Kauffmans Gun Shop no problem. We now only go there to shoot and only because its the closest range we got and even then everytime we go we think about it many tomes just because we might see him. If you see a old man working there do not interact i suggest you do your business with a different employee.

I ordered a Browning buckmark from lock n load two weeks ago. Today it just came in, Atleast a week longer than expected. Jerks right? No. Browning apperently was overloaded with gun sales because of black Friday, so they were the jerks in this case(or perhaps I was the jerk for ordering so close to black friday). However I digress. I walked into Lock n Load and was immediately treated like a god. One individual (lets call him slappy), even rolled a fine gold carpet in front of me as I waltzed in. I paused and said to slappy arent these carpets usually red? Slappy looked up, thought for a second, then responded red carpets are for kings and celebritys he smirked. You sir are a valued customer. This made me warm inside. Then, suddenly, I saw her. Lisa, the owner. Our eyes locked. My pulse quickened. Many words describe her. Vixen, temptress, goddess. She put a spell on me, and I fell harder than a sack of taters. She told me something, but I did not hear her. Finally she handed me an extra 100 rounds of .22 hollow point (for free) and said that she was sorry for the delay, even though we both knew who was at fault here (black friday). They took care of me, and I wont forget that. As I walked out, I fist bumped Slappy and we both at the same time yelled Score! And I was on my way, into the sunset, off to whatever adventure awaited me next. The End.
