Fantastic experience. They took great care of my father. The staff demonstrates consummate expertise; equally important, they are friendly and genuinely care for their patients.

Friendly staff and a clean facility. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment, checked in, paid my co-pay, waited a few minutes and was taken back to an exam room. The nurse did her triage then a few minutes later the doctor came in to do an exam. He reassured me that what was going on with my throat was nothing serious and was treatable. He provided literature for me to read about the condition. He listened to my concerns and explained everything very clearly. Great doctor!

I saw Dr. Dorf at The ENT Center in Ephrata and I was unhappy with my experience. I feel like this place exists to perform as many tests/evaluations as possible for the insurance money. I saw Dr. Dorf for chronic sinus issues and ringing in my ears. I ended up having an endoscopy and audiometry evaluation performed during my visit. However, I feel like I was not informed whatsoever about the endoscopy process. Dr. Dorf put a cotton ball soaked in lidocaine up my nose with no information as to why or what it was for, then a nurse came in asking me to sign a consent paper for the endoscopy. This process was not explained to me at all by Dr. Dorf or the nursing staff. Basically when I left the office 3 medications were prescribed to me, one being a month long (!!!) course of antibiotics and steroids and I was told to follow-up at a later date. Based on my experience I called to cancel my follow-up appointment but no one cancelled it for me. Then I had to call a second time to cancel my appointment. I have good insurance but I have received multiple bills in the mail for my visit. I regret going here.

I came to the ENT center for migraines, they got me in so quickly! The providers that i saw were so knowledgeable and understanding, they really listened to my problems and got my migraines under control. i have been to many doctors and nobody has taken such good care of me and actually took the time to understand and get control of my issues!!! If you want to be in good hand go to the ent center in Ephrata and they will be there for you every step of the way!!!

So, the staff here is always great. Dr Miller performed a septoplasty on me, with no issues whatsoever, and not even any pain in recovery, just discomfort. Amazing. Highly recommend! And use your saline!!!

The only reason I am even giving 3 starts is because of the fantastic audiologist Allie we saw as for the ent Dr. DaCosta which mind you I only know his name due to getting a referral call from early intervention for my daughter! I’ve seen him twice and both times he’s told me there’s nothing physically wrong with my 2 year olds ears. He worries about everything that we’ve already been talking with her pediatrician about other than what I’m in the office for. My daughter show clear signs of hearing loss and just because one hearing test shows she can hear “fine” she’s fine and says “she just has behavioral issues”. I have yet to even see an ABR diagram and I’ve been in contact trying to get it emailed to me for 2-3 months now! Every time I ask for the diagram I get the written report. He looked my husband and I right in the face at the last appointment and said “well there was a hearing test scheduled for today but I don’t think she needs it she looks fine.” “I can see her eardrums they look great little bit of wax but great other wise” So never got another hearing test. If you can see hearing loss, deaf, auditory neuropathy, etc then why is my insurance paying for my daughter to see two different doctors. Considering the fact we believe she has auditory neuropathy means she needs frequent hearing tests, but since my husband and I are in our early 20’s people think we will just listen about everything being signs of autism. If he is supposed to be able to work with pediatrics he needs to learn that parents are there to voice their concerns we are there to be the voice of our children. He clearly doesn’t understand that hearing loss can look like autism and vis versa! I was on the phone for 45 mins to even make this most recent appointment which was Thursday July 22nd and that will be our last visit there! Highly unprofessional do better so no other parent has to go through what we went through!

Let me start off by saying I drove an hour there to get a second opinion because Dr. Dorf is a very respectable doctor who is loved by his patients. I was impressed by the safety measures they have in place to prevent the spread of covid. Doors locked and only open for patients to check in. Was greeted by a very nice staff member who took my temp and seated me in the waiting room with dividers between the patients. Every member of the staff I met with was super nice and made me feel welcome. I was impressed by how they interacted with the other patients in the office like they were family. Dr. Dorf was very nice and I didn’t feel rushed in and rushed out. He was very knowledgeable and made me feel so much better after leaving as I was confident with an accurate diagnosis. If you’re looking for an ENT that will actually listen to your concerns and not try to push you out the door with meds and a really nice team he has working behind him, then don’t hesitate to be seen here! Well worth the drive! There is also a super cute restaurant down the street from the office called The Pancake Farm to stop in for a bite after your appt.

I went to Dr Dorf and he was very helpful with figuring out the cause of my Vertigo/Dizziness and partial Hearing Loss. I went Today due to recurrent Sinus Infections and recurrent Ear Infections for the last 4 months. Last Thursday, I awoke with total hearing loss in my Left Ear, and Partial Hearing Loss in my Right Ear. Upon Examination, the Provider found the inside of my ear to be “extremely” red and swollen- so she prescribed me Prednisone and Amoxicillin. That was 4 days ago. I have been on Antibiotics almost every day for the last 4 weeks. When I went in Today, Dr Dorf blatantly said to me that he was angry I keep getting Diagnosed with Ear Infections because I didn’t have a Fever at my last Doctors Visit 4 days ago.....he looked in my Ears for .5 seconds, said they were fine and that I haven’t been having Ear Infections? 3 separate Doctors have been treating me for this, along with the Sinus Infections. He looked in my Nose, told me I had a Deviated Septum (which I knew from a broken Nose). He then sent me for a Hearing Test, I could basically hear nothing during the Audiologists exam, but I was told I’m fine.Dr Dorf gave me no answers at all as to why I’m having to endure constant Sinus and Ear sickness, and be blatantly said to me, “well at least now you have an Ear Specialist. Let me know when you’re having a real problem with your Ears. Also, for in the future, keep in mind Wellspan Health’s Insurance covers hearing aids”, and he then walked me to the door. I got no answers, no diagnosis, I have no idea what my hearing test came out to be- nothing. I wasn’t even given paperwork to leave with or anything. So here I am, upset at the fact that not only were 3 different Doctors I’ve seen put down, I was basically told that the Pain and Swelling inside of my Ears, and the severe Hearing Loss I deal with daily, is non-existent. And nothing to do with my Ears. I am in SHOCK with the unprofessionalism with this Visit, and I truly feel I may need to find another ENT, because this Visit really has me taken aback.I’m only choosing 2 stars because the Audiologist was so kind and friendly.I hope these types of issues NEVER happen to another Patient. Especially one like me, who works in Healthcare, and knows how patients are to be treated.Thank you for your time.

Not impressed at all! Went to family dr 2 days after being seen by Dr. DaCosta and was diagnosed with an ear infection. Called ENT that same day and they told me that they cant help me, I should see a dentist or chiropractor because it wasnt anything to do with my ear. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

My husband visited this office in early July 2019. His symptoms were sudden hearing loss and headaches. They gave him hearing tests and diagnosed a sinus infection prescribing antibiotics and a return visit in one month. Upon returning my husband symptoms had not improved. Headaches were much worse and he requested a ct scan of his head. The physicians assistant told him he was most likely grinding his teeth and needed a hearing aide. She prescribed a nasal wash and a return visit in one month. At 3:30 the day before his appointment, which was at 9 am they canceled. My husband insisted on being seen. Dr Da Costa saw him later that day. He was obviously annoyed and his nurse was horribly rude to both of us. My husband demanded a ct scan to which Dr Da Costa replied. Ill order it but they wont find anything. You need a hearing aide thats all The ct scan showed bilateral chronic subdural hematomas from a previous injury requiring burr hole surgery. These are not goo doctors they are hearing aide salespeople. If I could I would give them ZERO STARS!
