Wow! The day that I discovered my garage door spring was broken, it was already fixed by Mr. Kemp. He came on a Saturday, was done quickly and cleaned up after his work, explained everything he was doing and offered helpful tips. His fee was very reasonable, especially considering he was trapped in the hot garage with the door closed while he worked. I am so impressed with Kemp Garage Door!

Had them out a long time ago (review below) and they did a great job. Now Id like to get a tune-up but cant get in touch with them. Left them two voice-mails and no call back.I was having issues with my door going up. Thought I might need a new opener. Nope, Kirk came and fixed it up. And also went the extra mile as my door was damaged, he fixed it. My door was an “odd ball” variety and he had to put some extra effort (and time) into it but didn’t charge me more.Great guy, great service! I’d recommend him for sure!

True craftsman at a good price. I called Kemp Garage when my garage door spring broke for the second time. Kirk was able to come out the next day and found that the previous repair person installed the incorrect spring. Also, that I had an unusual garage door. After spending a lot of time analyzing the situation, Kirk figured out the right springs and had to special order them. He did this all of the original quoted price even though this was definitely a special job. Outstanding work!

To start, I would like to say what a good job Kirk did fixing a spring on my garage door. However, he was an hour late, didnt call to tell me he was still coming for approximately 20 minutes after he was supposed to be here, and charged me $250.00 for a job that lasted less than 45 minutes. I am a retired attorney who practiced primarily workers compensation law representing injured workers. I never charged an hourly rate over $200.00 an hour which is the the average rate for an attorney outside Denver in Colorado!Also, when I confronted him on this rate, he became very defensive, and explained to me how dangerous his job was. REALLY? When I practiced law, I represented policemen, firefighters, and oil and gas workers (one of the most dangerous jobs in the world). These clients earned approximately half as much than his hourly rate amounts to. While I realize that all blue collar jobs have risks, he needs to reevaluate what he is charging people on an hourly basis.

Kemp offers the most competitive service rates for a torquemaster to torsion garage spring conversion, is quick, and reliable. Will definitely use him again next time my garage needs to be serviced. As far at the conversion, after quite a bit of internet research, the only reason I could find not to convert was aesthetics. Torsion springs are less expensive, last longer, far easier to find a service provider, and I couldnt find any reports of them flying apart when they break (which is the danger torquemaster is supposed to prevent). Now that their installed, I dont even notice an aesthetic difference. Very happy with Kemp Garage Doors.
