Bought an Aurora knife and the blade had some discoloration. I called Bark River customer service and they were less than I expected. I returned the knife to the place of purchase. I lost shipping and a restocking fee but learned a lesson about Bark River.Reply to owner.If your claim that several people inspect your knives before they leave the facility was true, I shouldnt have to return the knife or do anything. I returned the knife because after the initial contact no more of my email were answered so I bought a L.T. Wright.

Absolutely fantastic knifes and outstanding customer service, these people really care about their product. If you own one of their knives, they want it to be in peak condition no excuses. Their warranty service is second to none, if you have any issues with your knife simply send it to them with return postage and they will send it back to you looking like the day you bought it with an outstanding edge. The North Star is the first knife Ive owned from BRK but it will most certainly not be the last, they have a customer for life.

I sent my knife back with the sheath as the sheath was worn from lots of use and needed some repair. They said the sheath was covered under warranty and there would be no charge. They sent me a new sheath. Best of all, they cleaned up the knife and sharpened it as to the point that I was not sure that they had not sent me a new knife. I wish all of our companies stood by their products as Bark River does. Thanks.

This company is not what it professes to be. They follow a cult-like philosophy of taking care of their own. Evidence of this can be found on knife forums.......a forum of their own making which they abandoned for facebook over time. So beware. They have been a huge disappointment for me, I am truly sorry to say. When the company grew over time.......they sold out.....to facebook. This is my experience with them.They are just a business (like any other family business). They follow the money, not the concerns of their clientele. ..and the quality of their product obviously has suffered for it.This is my belief after almost a decade of dealings with them.They are not to be trusted when it comes down to the bottom line. They will abandon you and follow the money elsewhere

I own 6 Bark River Knives and they are beautiful, tough, made with the best steels and handle materials. I have talked to Mike a few times on the phone and he is the nicest and most knowledgeable knife guy around.

Love bark river knives! I have several and they are some of the best knives I own! I only rate 3 stars due to my experience with their warranty service. Ill explain. I sent in my knife for warranty because durring non abusive battoning my Arouras tip broke about 3/4 of the tip was missing. So i sent it in. I recived no emails calls or any communication about the knife for 4 weeks. So i reached out. Turns out that they had the knife they were just trying to decide what to do. No worries from me. I waited anothet week and a half to finaly recive my knife. Only to find they had just ground in a new tip to the knife..... So i now have a stubby almost 1 inch shorter blade on my knife..... I was hopeing for a little nicer fix or somethin other then just a re grind.... Especially for a knife that cost almost 250.. I could have done that at home without paying for shipping insurance and return shipping... Still love my other knifes. But lost faith in the warranty...

Purchased an Aurora bushcraft knife w/ ironwood grip several years back, and on my first bushcraft application of it (making a fireboard and bow drill), the tip broke off. Before you ask; no, I didnt twist it. That alone didnt earn them a 1 star rating, though. After taking their required steps to return the VERY expensive knife, I waited. And waited. After about 8 weeks, I decided to call and verify that they had received the knife. I was told they had, and would ship my new knife soon. About 5 weeks after that - a total of 13+ weeks after I first shipped it out - I received in the mail... THE SAME KNIFE! Re-ground and about an inch shorter. At that point I was pretty much finished with Bark River, but continued to edc the knife... until the belt loop on the sheath broke. Yeah.
