Huge store! Well organized. Air conditioned. Restrooms are available for customers. Large parking lot on the lot. The staff is friendly with smiles. Lots of household and furniture items but mostly clothes. There are some art pieces on the walls and jewelry in the cases. Covid safety precautions were taken. Plexiglass protection at the cashier. Staffers are wearing masks on this visit.

Welp, the store was clean as a whistle, well organized and my friend found some wonderful name brand clothes. I was upset that the cashier that helped her didnt give her the disabled seniors discount & when this was pointed out to her, didnt want to correct the transaction. The store manager couldnt have been nicer. We will be back.

Almost always find a treasure or two. The cashiers are efficient in helping the line move well.

New Goodwill location in Escondido. Clean store and well organized, with helpful and nice staff to help find what you are looking for Huge ladies clothings section, with a good sized mens section also. Good place to try to find a hidden treasure amongst donated goods.

This just opened and is nice and clean, but the prices are outrageous. They charge the same amount as all online stores. They also dont do any discounts for the color tag of the week according to the employees.

Organized. Lots of people shopping in the store. Some prices are a bit high (e.g. 4x6 frame for 5.99) but there were lots of other things to check out.

Wont be coming here till the lockdown is over. This facility does not have a posted sign regarding facial coverings PERIOD, allowed me to walk around without a facial covering for an hour, said nothing until till I reached the register and does NOT COMPLY WITH STATE OF CALIFORNIA HEALTH GUIDELINES FOR FACIAL COVERINGS EXEMPTIONS. So... Ya... Please tell me how a disabled veteran is supposed to live during times like these?

Over priced, must be trying to pay for there new location.. I thought when you went thrifting the idea was to spend less on lightly worn or like new items items were all really tired inside of the store and way overpriced wouldnt recommend this Goodwill.

Good, clean little store. 2 story building. Mostly clothes, although a variety of items offered. Corner of valley and center city one entrience dont miss it.

Since they have moved to the new location, I have been twice, the first time i got a brand new leather jacket at a good price, this time I got a Turkey cooker, again at a good price, employees where friendly..

Very organized with a good selection of brands in the clothing section. They had some good stuff upstairs as well in hard goods.

Goodwill every single one of your items is donated for free! You have zero product you purchase. 5.99 for a used shirt? 89.99 for a used pair of shoes? I saw a used baby jumper for 4.99. A cold play signed photo that had a price of $15 posted with a $45 goodwill sticker, and a store marked $1.50 toy marked for $3 with a goodwill sticker. I saw alot of people look at items and set them down. 🤣😂😂🤣 From someone that has been doing thrift store shopping my whole life this place use to be very enjoyable. My wife and I would come in here on a regular basis and find awesome deals. Whenever we move somewhere new (which is often seeing as we are a dual military couple) we hit the thrift stores and look for house hold items. My brother in law who is coming back from deployment and is bringing his 3 kids and wife over here. Started thrift store shopping for them and your prices are out of their price range! Red flagggggg! Avoid this place and look at other thrift stores/online/grocery shopping. Employee Told me theyre making $12.50 an hour. With a 22,000 after taxes a year. 40hrs a week every week the whole year. Their employees couldnt even afford to shop here for clothing and housing needs. Will no longer be donating to a place that takes free items and racks the prices up.

I used to enjoy shopping there, I would find OK deals on video games and movies. But now their prices are higher than regular retail stores who have actually tested game systems and guarantee everything. This is supposed to be a thrift store, now theyre just getting greedy.

I was actually looking for VHS tapes. They did not have any. I bought 3 blouses instead! The store had few shoppers. Good time to shop.

I have to say the store is very clean. The merchandise is easy to get to and the employees on the floor were very nice. I picked up some nice bargains. I really enjoy looking at all the displays as you walk in the door. They are nicely done. The store is plenty big enough. I have to say I have never been to the second floor. The dressing rooms are very clean Escondido location. Thank you for having a nice long bench In them. They do have a restroom. You just have no ask politely and a member will bring you their. Parking at this location is a bit hectic. Their are 2 handicapped parking spaces🤗 I had a hard time backing out due to a large van blocking a lane. The nice attendant for drop off at the Escondido location on Thursday Feb 7 2019 at around 3:18 donations smiled and motioned hand signals to me 😄

Pretty typical Goodwill, but lots of the same thing in terms of clothing. Keep your expectations at a minimum and usually youll end up pleased with your visit. Ive found a couple nice pieces of clothing there, but a lot of the upstairs items just seem like junk that collects dust. There have been some unsavory customers that roll through, but thats part of the Goodwill experience I imagine.

I came to this store with my brother and a couple of Orientational & Mobility instructors on 10/31/20 near noon. The store was very clean. I wished that the store had a socerers wand at the time when I and my brother purchased pieces of clothing to piece together a couple of costumes for Halloween that day. Since I was visually impaired along with my brother, the two of us had great assistance throughout the first floor of the store. I would give a giant shout out to my Orientational & Mobility specialists. So if you go to any stores and ask for assistance, no matter what some people may want to help you. I only wished that there were braille labels at the top of each aisle to classify what is in that aisle and the next aisle. So I had reasons why I would give this store a 4-star rating instead of a five star rating. Plus, we, also have fun in the store since we got some preffty nice deals.Im so sorry, but I trying to post some pictures and I am unsuccessful doing so.

I found a bed bug on one of the children’s costumes while in the store. Typically not the best store they won’t accept some perfectly fine donations and get picky. The place has very few actually interesting items and I probably won’t go back after seeing that bed bug.

One of my favorite thrift stores in Escondido. Great selection of good quality items for sale, & awesome prices.A few months ago my husband and I went in just to kill some time, I was looking for a new handbag, and to my amazement I found two leather handbags one was $8 & the other one was $12. We also found a 2-quart slow cooker (crock pot) for $8, and I wasnt able to locate one of those at any of the other thrift stores in town during the previous 3-weeks.

Pleasent staff, very helpful. You might not find what you came in for, but you most likely will find a few treasures you didnt even know you needed ! Came home with a beautiful scarf & a very nice purse.P. S. ~ Goodwill is a worthy cause!

Nice people. Two floors of bargains. HALLOWEEN DEPT. IS LOADED WITH GOOD COSTUMES. A FEW DOZEN AND LOTS OF ACCESSORIES TOO.

This is for drop off service only. Goodwill donation truck blocking access and my large SUV could not make the turn to drop off area. My son and I carried the items for donation and was scolded for not pulling around and our one small box of glass items tossed into a bin. Seriously...kindness is simply missing in the world and I left feeling bummed.

This team does a great service by employing people in need. We do most donations here. Very cordial staff and friendly fellow customers. Your karma grows just by walking in the door

I don’t think I will go here again I bought something and the change they gave me was ripped money. Then I told the cashier if she could change it but she said she couldn’t. Later on when I tried to use that money in other store they wouldn’t accept it.

Great place to find great deals.

Store is very clean and orderly. Turn over is fast so if you want it dont go back to get it it will be gone. Accepts credit cards which is so nice. Staff is pleasant.

This goodwill is a great store to visit when shopping on a budget, its a little small but they pack a lot in store. The staff is kind and the products are in pretty good shape or never opened.

The employee accepting donations was extremely rude to me.I parked and walked up with two bags of clothing and shoes. The attendant pointed away and asked me to put my there. I asked where because it was not clear to me. He grabbed my bags, tossed them and said, “there!” Some of the shoes I brought in flew out of the bag.In a calm voice I told him he didn’t have to be rude, and his excuse/reason is that he is the only one out there and now there’s a line of cars.I suggested, “you can let people know you’re busy, most people are patient”. Additional words were exchanged, and I kept thinking I should grab my stuff back and donate elsewhere.I’ve donated clothes to Goodwill for years, never at this Escondido location, and I won’t be coming back here.

It only takes one bad interaction to ruin the reputation of a place of business. Unfortunately for this location, its a series of sub-par interactions and one colossal failure that leads to this rating.Ive been coming to this Goodwill for about 5 years and the service is always mediocre at best, largely due to an epidemic of bad attitudes that are clearly reflective of a poor working environment. My previous rating would have been 2.5 stars. I do NOT blame the cashiers; I blame management.Which brings me to today, 9 Sep 18, when I came to the store as I have almost weekly to seek out fun deals to supply my classroom or my latest DIY. I misplaced my phone and asked an upstairs cashier for help; she directed me to the manager. I asked him May I use your phone to dial mine? I lost it somewhere in the store to which he responded No.No explanation, just a quick and sharp NO. Of course, I protested-- But my phone is lost somewhere...its in your store... as I made eye contact with a sympathetic gal in the line. He snaps I know. But NO. Thankfully, the aforementioned customer offered her phone to me and dialed it up, continuing to do so after leaving until I found it. *happy dance*Seeing how harsh and unsympathetic the manager was answers all my questions about why the employees always seem so gloomy here. I promptly left without my usual purchases and will not be returning while that man is still manager. Ill be heading a few blocks away to Salvation Army where all the employees chat with you, sing along to the music, and are generally well dispositioned.Edit: Owner requests message regarding which location Im talking about. Im talking about the location I wrote the review for-- the W Washington Location in Escondido.

Its pretty decent. The parking is really small and then the store is also on the small side. You might find a few gems but compared to other goodwills this kind of pales in comparison. Oh you also have upstairs thats filled with beautiful items......all which are overpriced! Listen when I come to Goodwill, I am not using $100 to use as Kleenex but I carry it like its my first born. Point is that the top is over overpriced and the bottom is full of sub par items. Ah if I wanted to look at items that I could not afford I would go to Gucci or Armani

I like going to Goodwill. This is a nice one. Some items seem higher priced than some Ive shopped elsewhere. This one doesnt have special discount days for certain tag colors and it does not have Goodwill loyalty/points cards.

The store is very well-maintained and they offer a fair selection of quality, gently used womens clothing and home decor. The mens section leaves a lot to be desired, but service is excellent and prices are always reasonable.

I had been there for an item earlier in the week no problem, great experience. Not so pleasant on Sunday May 28th 2017. It was 5:40 and an associate told me that I didnt have time to shop due to them closing in 20 minutes. She then added they would be closing register soon since they where having an employee event. As a customer I found her to be beyond rude and inconsiderate and for that I will not step foot on there property. I wish I would have gotten her name. Even her colleague looked at her with disbelief.People like her do not belong in customer service. Sorry so long but it needed to be stated.

Found some good stuff here. Has a downstairs upstairs floor display. Lots of clothes n cool dvd n cd area that has a chair for ur convenience as u check out the titles. Good spot if your looking for savings

This place is really racist towards hispanic females. Most the ladies that work here are older white females that are really rude towards hispanics. They choose to ignore or not allow ro shop in peace hispanic ladies. The manager follows hispanic around the entire store as if just by color your treated like a shop lifter. This was the 1st time ive ever been to this storein side i have donated many times. I thought it would be fun, it turn out to be a nightmare. I would never go back to this ever again. I will not donate to this organazation if this what they hire people treat others their customers like trash.

Parking can get pretty competitive if you go at the busy time. The prices seem a little higher than they should be and doesnt seem like the best deal for a thrift store. The layout is okay but the 2nd story throws things off if you have stuff from the 1st story. You have to carry it up top and the 2nd story is mostly expensive clothes and expensive books & movies. They do accept cards which is a plus but it doesnt seem like a great value coming here. Al

I would give it 5 stars for great prices! But the employee s ruin it I mean some cashiers dont even pay attention when they charge you its happened to me twice they over priced me on a item. Second Im really good with being patient waiting for someone to help me with jewlery I understand they get busy. But one time the lady told me to look a lil faster cause she had to go to lunch I just looked at her like are u serious. Another time I was paying and asked the lady if she could grab me the silver neckless in display case she said r u still shopping I said No Im done but can u just grab me the neckless please Im buying it she said she does not have time to help me while Im still shopping so pretty much she wanted me to get out of the way and wait by the display case ask someone to get neckless for me so they can put it away then go back inline and pay😒

Great location but terrible parking and delivery trucks are always blocking parts of the spots and drive access. Housewares area is always a total wreck.
