Loved the customer service. Everyone is organized there they attended me right away I got out in less than an hour. Loved how they don’t make their patients wait a long time. My dr was Melissa Willey she was really nice too.
***update***I’m dropping my two stars to one. This has been the worst experience I’ve had with an optometry center. After I dropped off my glasses to have them corrected to add the transition lens I was told they would waive the fee for the transition and they took my glasses and said they would call me in two weeks. Three weeks later I called back only to find out my glasses have just been sitting in the back counter with no notes and nothing has been done at all. My initial appointment was in the beginning of June and I still have no glasses. I would never come here again.The initial appointment with the dr. was fine. The optometry section is where I have an issue. It took nearly a month to get my glasses back. During that month I was called and told there was an additional $75 charge but they weren’t sure what it was for and I asked me if I knew what it was for. Then when I was finally able to pick up my glasses they did not have the reflective coating or transition that I requested. They did not charge me for transition lenses and double charged me for reflective lenses. I went to return the glasses to have them re-ordered but the optometrist wasn’t there and they weren’t sure when she would be in. It’s been an extremely frustrating experience. Would not recommend.
Best experience after visiting 2 other Acuity locations in Encinitas and Clairemont, that we would avoid. Dr. Nick is our favorite doctor so far, Samantha and most other staff at the Escondido office are also friendly and provide good patient care. Dr. Nick takes the time to address any questions and provide helpful opinions, and made a comfortable experience for us to visit again. Thank you Dr. Nick!

West Coast Eye Care and all the staff are very professional, they are polite, patient and understanding.The first time I called I was having issues that I had never had and was in high anxiety mode trying to explain my symptoms. I probably sounded like a crazy old lady, confused and rambling on. But the lady on the phone calmed me down, made me feel like she too was concerned and set me up to be seen that same day. When I got there, made it very easy for me to fill out the needed paperwork and to be seen by the Doctor immediately. The technicians explain everything they are doing and answered all my questions with knowledge that helped to reassure me that they were gonna take care of my eyes the best way possible. And they have!! All my appointments have been welcoming and my eyes are doing much better. Going to be getting my glasses next week.Thank you To All your Staff Members. Each and Everyone of you!!!

Absolutely the best eye care center I have visited. I really felt like they had my personal interest in mind and not trying to sell me on this, that or the other and I didn’t feel pressured to make a quick decision on my selection of glasses, I am so pleased with the outcome. I’ll never go anywhere else. Compared to other places I have gone to, it is at the top of the charts. Thank you!

These are the glasses I chose. She had very great patience. My husband came back so they could dilate my eyes. He was able to be seen the same day and even ordered his glasses also🙌🏾🥰 If he was happy with the service then I know I did good with who I chose to care for my family vision problems. Great Job!
You need to advocate for yourself if you want anything to be done or completed at this place. If you can choose a different provider, go somewhere else.
It seem like a good location to get my daughters eyeglasses, We waited a while to be seen even though it wasn’t busy and after getting her glasses order we where told it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get them no one call us and after 2months we call the office and they said there probably sent them to wrong location and they have to re order them again another 4 to 6 weeks again no one call us back we call them a few times and no one seem to know anything except wait they said” I founded so Unprofesional, unorganized and lack of responsibility after 4 months waiting I would not recommend this place to anyone.

After being referred by my PCP, getting the written copy of the referral and waiting to see if they would contact me, I called them.To say that the staff on the phone was officious and unhelpful would be kind. Add in slow.When I finally got to the person who set appointments, he managed to take about twenty minutes to ask me if I wanted to travel to Palm Springs for my appointment. From San Marcos, not really. More time goes by and he cant find an open appointment in February or March in Escondido.If thats the standard of care, if waiting for long minutes while the staffer just breathes into the phone if what you love, call them today. If you want to be able to make an appointment efficiently, call someone else. I get it, My computer is slow today. Just understand that if your computer is that slow maybe there is another problem. I would avoid these people. I suspect that once you get inside, its not much better.
I have an 11 year old with an eye problem. My daughter had to get new glasses for her new prescription so we went to west cost eye care. After a few months of wearing the glasses my daughter kept on complaining that she could not see though her glasses I though her glasses were just dirty so I said clean them and she did. After a week went by she would wear her contact lenses even for home which she never does because glasses were more comfortable for her I asked why she was doing this and she said that she could not see through her glasses and she could see though her contact lenses better. Thats when I got worried so I went to her doctor and she said “ this prescription dose not match her glasses and they were way off from her prescription” and she also said that my daughter’s eyes got worse I can see that my daughter was about to cry so I went straight to west coast eye care in Escondido and they were super mean when I complained saying it was not their fault and I got even more mad at them because who’s fault was it then. All in all west cost eye care has bad service and they ruined a 11 year olds eyes. If you are new to wearing glasses I suggest for you to go anywhere else then west cost eye care.

From the moment I walked into the door..I was treated with respect and felt very comfortable here.. I would recommend West Coast Eye Care for all of your eye care needs. Ordered glasses in february 2020. Before i placed the order i told the guy helping me that if I to move before the glasses were ready, could I have them shipped to me? He said that would be no problem. Fast forward to today, I moved, were in the middle of June, still no glasses. When I called about 2 weeks ago I was told the glasses were shipped. Today, I called asking for the tracking number. Ana said the person w that info would give me a call back by 12. Come 2pm, still no call. So i call AGAIN and ask for tracking number. They put me on hold for forever and finally gave me a trackijg number. Well low and behold when i put in the tracking number, MY GLASSES HADNT EVEN BEEN SHIPPED. THEY ONLY CREATED A SHIPPING LABEL. I am beyond furious. I was straight up lied to when they said they had been shipped out. So unprofessional. Avoid this place like the plague. Total scam
Thank you for taking care of my niece and nephew. They have Medi-Cal insurance and most doctors do not accept it....you do. This tell me your providing service to EVERYONE, not based on their wealth. Incompetent front office! I called to schedule a Visual Field Test. When I arrived they said the doctor who performs that test wasnt in (they had scheduled me for a regular eye exam). I scheduled another appointment. This time when I arrived they informed me the machine was broken! They didnt have the courtesy to call me to reschedule. The whole place is in poor repair. Two strikes and youre out. I will never go there again.
Can never get anyone to answer the phone. Ive been calling since last week and have tried multiple times to reach someone to find out if my glasses are ready. I was told 2 weeks, and its been 2 weeks. I have waited on hold 3 different occasions, 1 time for half hour last week on Thursday, another time for 20 minutes on Friday, and now today for 25 minutes, with each one saying Im the 2nd person in the que, only to get a recording saying they didnt pick up and that I have to leave a message. I leave a message and then no one calls me back. So finally I went in there today, and I explained that I cant reach anyone on the phone and the girl at the front desk could care less! Who cares that you spent $500 here and just want to know where your glasses are. Ive received better treatment at McDonalds. Seriously. So, ya, is frustrating when you are spending alot of money there, to be treated that way. So, anyway she said sign in, and I sat and waited in the office for another 20 minutes, only to be told that my glasses still arent ready. Im more than willing to be patient, but to be told 2 weeks and not be able to reach anyone and spend so much of my time that I dont have waiting to even reach someone and then find out how rude and uncaring the front desk staff was and then find out they still arent ready when they said they would be is even more frustrating. I wouldnt recommend this place at all. I just read the other reviews, and it seems like this is a common issue with the front desk staff. BUYER BEWARE.... READ the reviews before going here. I wish I had.
I have had mostly great experiences with West Coast Eyecare. Dr. Prabhu is an excellent physician! She performed 2 cataract surgeries for me. She was completely informative of the procedures, kind, and tells you exactly what to expect post op.Now, there were a couple of mix ups. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. For my second surgery, I was scheduled in last minute on a cancellation but not informed. So, I received a phone call 2 hours after I was supposed to be there asking me where I was. Bummer. Had to wait 3 more weeks for surgery.Also, front desk staff is not always very nice. Theyre too busy talking to each other to acknowledge patients.Now, for the eyeglasses area. I agree that the staff is helpful in finding frames that suit your face. However, I also agree that theyre not very interested in finding the cheapest frames when finances are a problem. I ended up just taking my prescription and going to Costco. I get all the bells and whistles on my lenses and name brand frames for around $200 bucks usually.So, with all that said. I would definitely recommend the doctors at West Coast Eye Care Associates. They are extremely thorough in the care of your eyes. And frankly, thats what youre going there for! Dont listen to gossip. Formulate your own opinions. One person has different perspective than another. :-)
Long wait, quick exam. Good doctor. Limited choices for lenses. Prices are very high. Better off getting rx and taking it to a cheaper place. Staff was polite and courteous when I came in. Reception had too much loud inappropriate conversation amongst themselves. Salesperson was pushy. Listened less to what I wanted, just wanted to make a good sell. Wait for glasses to be ready is way too long.
I called their facilities for help with my glasses prescription after finally reaching the public libary to use their wifi to give them a call an order a pair of online glasses for 5$ compared to the 100$s they ask for i have an amputated foot and it took me a decade to reach the libary they said they could not help over the phone either to walk-in, faxed over or the option to be mailed to me wich i have no access ability to either of those option thanks for the patient care west coast eye care

The doctor is great, but the front desk staff needs to be replaced. They were having personal and inappropriate conversations during my wait time. Im giving them a one star just to help people realize what theyre doing wrong here.Again, the doctor was super kind and seemingly professional.Also, a lady just went outside the door and had a smoke break during my wait! She was from another part of the Alpine health district. I talked to other front desk staff around the buildings, and they were all pretty cold and just not friendly in general!I only went here because my Medi-Cal covers it. I may try to find a different place for next time.Replace your desk staff and dont have smokers take breaks right in the front of the building by the door entrances, and this has potential to be a decent eye care place!
The eye center here, is a pleasant experience. The doctor is phenomenal, courteous, knowledgeable, they care. they are helpful in all aspects of the visit, I really like these people and return when ever I have eye care needs. for my whole family. There great

I have had one of the worst experiences EVER in dealing with West Coast Eye Care Associates. I originally went in to get a prescription, the tech that helped me, Greg had no idea how to process my request. I was referred by the Dept of Rehabilitation and it was clear to me that Greg had not desire to help me whatsoever. I was then helped by Reggie, yet another tech, who was much more helpful but in the end, I still do not have my glasses. I had to re-select the glasses that I had originally selected when working with Greg, but since he put them back, I had to do the process all over again. I realize working with a government agency might not be a lucrative opportunity for added commissions, but I would hope that I would still be treated with some level of care and concern as a customer. I am very dissatisfied with promises that were made and broken. I would not recommend anyone to bring their business to this organization. It was a dismal experience for me.
The glasses tech has horrible customer service! You cannot refuse him or say youre getting your glasses/contacts anywhere else because his facial expressions change and becomes very short and rude. Doctors are great, auxiliary staff needs a lot of work.
I had a great experience, my first time and the doctor was pleasant and I felt gave me all the information I needed and wanted and the front desk was fine I got great service and had an appointment at 8:45 was seen at 8:15, loved it👍

Had a bad attitude there. Took them 30 minutes to answer. Rude no class.if you have medical they still make you pay for glare and the glasses. Never will go there again.
Their service is very good and the doctors are top notch. But their hours of availability is inconvenient for people who work full time.
They tired charging too much even with my insurance from.work and they were trying to keep insurance money for themselves. I was unaware of this until I decided to go to Wall Mart to get my glasses
