Used to love coming here. Especially their ready made food (burritos were great). Just saw in the news that this chain was fined over $1 million for forcing employees to work with Covid symptoms, file for unemployment while on quarantine, etc. I can’t support a business that treats their workers like this. There are many similar stores around that actually value their employees. I’ll take my business there.

This place has basically an Exorbitant amount of everything you need for a delicious meal. There’s so many products to choose from. They also have fresh food to go, cakes for birthdays and special occasions, they also have plenty of parking and there’s a Starbucks access the parking lot. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and maybe my worst enemy. Happy shopping!

Amazing selection and quality of fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, and meat (beef, pork, poultry, veal, seafood, etc).

Everything was going okay until I was checking out this has happened twice now. I dont understand why the cashier knowing theres no people to bag your groceries keep sending down items and crushing my vegetables and my other groceries. To be honest I would only come here to grab less than five items because I cant bag my groceries fast enough for them. Sorry for being slow. Seriously theres already a line why not open other cashiers.

Nice store reminds me of a Costco or Price Club but with a mexican twist. Their produce department is amazing and they have so many different items that regular American supermarkets dont have. My only concern was that being a black man with a Phillipino girlfriend, we had a lot of uneasy stares at us. Almost like we were out of place. But we didnt worry about it and didnt feel out of place. We were shopping like everyone else. Our skin color doesnt depict what food we like to eat. I like the place and will go back to shop at anytime.

Let me start by saying I used to shop here religiously, however, last night 5/13; when I bought my usual sweet breads (pan), their were small brown specs inside the bread, I didnt think much of it and I still ate an entire bread. This morning, I made my usual espresso, and grabbed a sweet bread, only to find out under better light, that these brown specs are German Cockroaches, in every bread their are hundreds of them. Im now sick my stomach, and pretty grossed out.

Best latin market around. Great selection and food court is delicious (try carne asada taco salads)

Everything was good. Shelves stocked, found everything. Clerks at checkout so helpful as I am slightly disabled. Even the customers are polite and helpful. Carry out service with a smile.

The Escondido location is nice and clean I would go there again, the meat department is good, prices are fair.

Unbelievable! Hours are stated as Open until 10 p.m. online, and STORE HOURS 7AM-10PM on El Supers doors. I arrived at 9:40pm to locked doors and told by the cart pushing employee outside that they are closed. Upon questioning him as to the store hours, the current time and the stores stated hours being open till 10, he responded they are closed and sometimes close early.Ill do my best to avoid shopping here from this point forward.

Great store Im sure but I gave my brother a ride and stayed in the car.1 thing I do know is that they have a Starbucks drive through next door 😁

Nice clean store, wide selection of delicious pastries. Ordered a carne asada burrito to go. VERY disappointed! My carne asada was mostly gristle and fat. She did NOT ask me to change my review ( originally I gave them 3 stars) . Glad that I went to check out this new store! The prices for vegetables and meats were very competitive against the other retailers like them! And this store is not a small store, it’s footprint is pretty sizable, the selections are great and plenty, and the hot foods offered looks freshly made!

Really upsetting. Went to buy something from their kitchen/food area, and apparently couldnt and had to wait because everyone in that department was out to lunch and no one else knew how to work the register. Then when someone else asked another employee about it she just shrugged said she didnt know how to work the register and she could go complain if she wanted to. Very rude

Fruits and vegetables at a good price. Everything else not. Long lines and few crashers. Dont buy meats, chicken or pork, not sure of the seafood.

The onions were moldy. Someone needs to change out the onions 😜.

Really bad customer service. Waited about 15 minutes waiting for service in the dairy department called for no one helped. Went to the front for them to call someone and they called but no answer. And that they had no idea about the workers in the dairy. I Left somewhere where that are actually dispatching.

Firs time at this store! all kinds of mexican cheese. I didnt have lot of time to see everything. But I could see they have a what I like. Cakes mexican bread and sea food.

Very clean but the staff are really slow worse than a turtle I went to get 5 pounds of Carne asada and I stay there like an hour just to get a peace of meat 🤦🏽‍♂️they need more staff and more organized!!

If I could give zero stars I would. The manger called the third person in line instead of calling me who was next in line. When called asked why she called the third person in line instead of the next person she still didnt help me. So since this place cant appreciate my time or money I dont need to spend my money here

Store is loaded with stuff, however with Covid, and it being a very busy store carts were not being cleaned and or keypads and food belts like ither major chains are doing. I was given a cart by an employee when I walked up and that was very kind abd he instructed me when the item I was looking for was.

Best place for me to get fresh fruits, veggies, and other food basics when keeping to a budget. The employees are always helpful and have great humor with the community.

I love how they had everything I was looking for especially good prices, however, they should have more cashiers available to open more registers because they only had 3 open with big lines!

I love their cakes from bakery and the store is pretty good either, but can someone tells me how do I have to carry it home? Every time Im buying it the boxes are too small and it doesnt even close. If you ask a bakery employee for a larger box they dont understand you. But its not so important not everyone speaks English very well its not a problem. But why they dont try to think that a large cake couldnt fit in a small box? Do I have to drive with cake on my knees trying to hold it ? Whats more important? Safety drive or beautiful cake for my sons birthday?

Low prices on fruits and vegetables

There is always great deals on Wednesdays. Specifically on fruit and veggies. The ONLY thing I dont like is the lack of cashiers. There is always a very long line and only two cashiers max..

I love their prices but they only have 2 cashiers at night for the entire people, so if youre just on a rush and want to buy something, you might want to consider your time ...... They always run out of tortillas... If you plan to go buy them after 4 pm.. Theyre all gone! Itd be better if they had their own tortilleria in there to make more

El Super is a GEM and life saver that has remained open during the pandemic and took the appropriate precautions to make sure it is a safe place to shop and still make a great shopping/eating experience.The lines outside are non existent now. It’s a great place to shop for fresh produce and a Great place to grab something to eat at an incredible bargain price especially for a family of 2 kids or more.I eat and shop here at least 5x a week.They have brand products as well as a wide selection of off brand products.There cost is very reasonable and within a budget for a family.1. Bathrooms are very clean and you need a passcode to use them. There many families that bring their kiddos and since I have 2 daughters, I am very picky and conscientious about using any bathrooms especially because of COVID-19.2. Service is Great; I a eat breakfast here 5x a week for $5.95 which is combo plate of Rice Beans and your choice of different eggs that comes with tortillas and your choice of water or coffee.Mariela and her crew keep a tight ship and help you with what you need; friendly and welcoming. My daughters and I order the same thing and they have fresh fruit and many Mexican cuisine dishes ready to serve that are made that morning.If something didn’t meet your expectations you can kindly ask Mariela for something else and she makes sure you leave satisfied.3. Produce is often ripe and carry a wide selection of typical Latin America produce.Carniceria (butcher) on side if you like meat and don’t mind the smell.There is also cheese products; bakery and tortillas freshly made.4. There cleaning products (off brand) and some brand toilet paper5. Sodas and chips and Latin America candy, some piñatas and cakes too.6. Fresh food and sitting place to eat and they also have 2 TV. That are normally on and there CLEAN!!!Overall I have had a great experience and I am very satisfied with their service as I been to other El supers and this is by far the cleanest and well kept store.

We fell in love with the El Super right away after shopping some meats the other day. Its meat products are always a great deal, besides those promotional items. Its products are also in very good condition at quite low prices.

They have a nice store and affordable prices but recently their prices have gone higher. Also their cashier lines are very long. Therefore if you are going to El Supper remember that you are going to stand in the cashier line for a very long time

Real Mexican food and Latin American ingredients!Very clean store, the one in Oceanside is disgusting, the restrooms are scary! So it was a very pleasant surprise to see a very nice and clean store. It also has good parking availability.

Very upset about the product quality. I was just there on Monday and bought Turkey ham well I opened it today and its rotten! This isnt the first time I buy and get home and its no good. I will not be shopping there anymore!!!

Excellent selection and definitely worth a visit. Lots of little treats and normal staples. I highly recommend at least one visit just to see it. The restaurant will bring me back too.

Very big products selections and really great prices on mostly everything.I hope they keep the low prices not like the Northgate markets they had good prices for a while until they get hook up costumers then rise up prices on everything.Northgate sucks.

The best tres leaches cakes ever. Everyone was asking me where did I purchased it from.

I feel their is a disconnect with employees and Hispanic customers. They openly ignore you if you ask anything in Spanish. I tried to get the attention of a female worker so she could give me something from the counter and she only turn around after I called out to her in English. Now she was nice but rolled her eyes as I spoke with the other people with me in Spanish. Then I asked for a meat product where I was quickly helped again only English I specified my order to I clearly stated avoid as best you can to give me only bone I get home 80 percent of that meat order was bone. So I guess their must be a better way to communicate. Over all ok prices very clean just needs better communication and attitude with all customer. If I wanted to feel like a bother I could go to other more English speaking stores to feel like that.

Thw store is easy to navigate. Produce section has great prices. The only reason I gave a four star is because the carniceria prices were a bit higher than what we were used to.

So many peppers and amazing meat selection!

They have a small hot food to go area (I think you can eat there too). The crema section is great.The reason for 3 stars is that the smell from the meat dept. in the back makes the entire back half of the store stink.
