Last year I called Johns store (first time) and he immediately was very kind and professional. We set up an appointment to write my safety cert and it couldn’t have gone any better. John is ALWAYS friendly and professional and on top of that he is VERY knowledgeable. I have since bought 3 firearms from him and have also had approx 7 other friends that I referred to him go and purchase from him as well. This is a direct result of how John handles his clients. I will ALWAYS go back to his store for all my firearm needs. It’s a perfect place if you are a first time gun owner or if you are an enthusiast. John is the best and I will always refer everyone I know to him. In fact I was there today and brought him another referral and happy customer ✌🏼

Awesome little shop with great inventory. John, the owner always seems to have hard to find items in stock or is willing and has the contacts to find it and get it in stock. His knowledge and customer service are great and one of the reasons I use his shop exclusively. My son, wife and I have all recommended friends and family to buy from John.Sometimes I just hang out in the shop and watch how John makes new customers feel comfortable and he never fails to answer their numerous questions and walk them through the paperwork. A true Professional and a pleasure to buy and learn from!In response to the negative review from Jay McNeilly, my wife and I have both used our retired ID to make purchases and have never had an issue. As to the stock in the store, John drives me to spend WAY too much money, because he is ALWAYS getting cool stuff in that I cant do without!

I’ve never owned a gun before, but felt that it was time to be able to protect myself. I purchased two shotguns from another store and never received the safety training. I found John’s store online and set up an appointment. He was determined to help me learn how to load, unload, and safe handling of the weapon. He even offered to take me to the range to practice. He treated me as if I bought my guns from him. He didn’t have to spend his valuable time with me but he did and I am very grateful. I feel a lot more confident with using my guns. I will definitely go back and purchase from him and recommend that you do as well.

This has to be the most pathetic dealing Ive ever had at a gun store. John wouldnt do a gun ownership transfer because my law enforcement retirement ID had the words expired on it. I showed him 3 times expired was on it because the original CCW date had expired on it. Directly below the original date was the new date, 2024, because I had requalified and updated my CCW. He just couldnt get passed the expired word, just couldnt commit to doing the paperwork. I told him obviously being retired, thats never going to expire, Ill always be retired.There was one other customer in the store. One. He was there just to pick something up. John told me he was just too busy to deal with me any further because he had to get back to his work, he had lots to do.I believe John is incompetent to own a gun store, and has some issues with law enforcement.I drove over an hour to get there to meet the seller, who also drove an hour. We spent several weeks working out this deal.Johns store is very small and lacks inventory. I wont be back, ever. Dont be like John.

Can you update your hours on google, wasted my time to find out you are by appointment only.

My Brother in law and I went in on Saturday of last week. I started the conversation by unintentionally insulting John and calling the place a hole in the wall (which to me means a hidden gem.) I meant this as a compliment but it was apparent that it wasnt taken as such. I then went on to break his rules and immediately picked up one of the guns on display. John kindly asked me to not pick up any more weapons without first letting him know what I was doing.Despite this rocky start to my relationship with Precision Fire Arms, it went quite well from there. We were able to discuss different items and pros/cons of aftermarket manufactures. I think it was quite apparent to John that we werent going to buy anything, yet he continued to talk with us and spent 20 minutes discussing guns.This has earned my future business. I like to order my products online, as I have found it difficult to get what I want, at the price I want. However, I will give my business to John in any way possible.Great shop, check it out!

First off, I have been shooting since I was 8 and started buying firearms when I could in the early 70s. I have been in many many gun stores over the years,some good and some bad. I read all of the positive and negative reviews here and on other sites about Precision Arms and decided to go and see for myself. I am really having trouble finding anything negative to say. John was cordial, answered my questions and put up with my stories. A great guy. Inventory is great and NOT like the Black Rifle Only Stores A traditional gun store in a modern setting. Prices are very much in line and slightly better than other dealers in the area. I did make a purchase and am very pleased with the deal I got. I have already called my friends and told them to check out Johns store. Thanks John and see you in 10 days!

John is totally into the long range shooting thing and has the experience and equipment to do it right. Obsessed kinda describes his level of commitment I believe. But he also has a good selection of hand guns and shotguns of the personal protection persuasion. The inventory is immense for the size of his shop and pricing is not bad considering the service and experience he offers. If you dont see it ask, because he has more in the back he cant fit out front. He kinda looks at the guns as his friends so he only has what he likes, good quality stuff he would own. Gruff appearance facades a teddy bear mentality.. dont let him fool you. Its the kind of place youll find people just hanging around sharing the sport they love and shootin the breeze. Check it out. If you love guns youll enjoy it.

I went in there earlier today just to pick up a rifle case. The guy was really nice and helpful. The store had quite a variety in comparison to many of the other. They seemed to have a decent selection of AR uppers as well. I will definitely be going there again.

Everything about precision arms is amazing, John knows more about guns then just about anyone. hes very friendly and does not mess around. his weapons are in impeccable condition.

Bought 4 firearms from this store, John is a great, knowledgeable guy as well. Bought a JD Arms AR-15 and a Springfield XD .45 and so far no complaints. The precision rifle I bought from John is exactly that, a precision laser of a rifle, love it.Looking forward to doing more business in the future.

Called Precision Arms to inquire about a couple weapons. I was looking for a XD .45 Tactical, and was having a terrible time locating this gun. Precision Arms was the only gun store with in 300 miles who had this firearm. I arrived at Precision Arms a couple hours later and the place was packed with customers. John quickly acknowledged me and my wife and told us he would be right with us and to please have a look around. After about five minutes which felt like seconds because he has so much neat stuff in his store to look at, John brought out the XD .45 Tactical from his gun safe. He showed me the weapon and described all the features of the gun to me and my wife. He was extremely patient and polite to my wife when she was picking out the right hand gun for her. Dont hesitate to stop by this gun shop. The prices on the guns I purchased were about $150 cheaper then what I could find any where else, and I spent hours calling and visiting other gun shops. Great place to receive great firearms at a great price with great customer satisfaction. Going back real soon. Take caution when reading the bad reviews, I am glad I did!

I originally came here for a private transfer because they were the only ones who would do it for a reasonable price. In short, I love this place. Great selection (especially in long guns..plus he will special order just about anything), the prices are good, and the service is outstanding. Johns knowledge is deeper than anyone Ive met and he has the patience to provide the guidance needed to new and experienced shooters. I cant recommend Precision Arms enough. Its the only place I refer my friends to because I trust John to take care of them. Besides, who else will take you to the range to help you zero a rifle/scope package purchased at his shop?

This place is awesome. It has a great selection of precision firearms, i have special ordered from here and got a great deal . John is a great guy, always helping me out with putting rifles together. I just built a Savage Mark II FV-SR with him, could not be happier with the finished product. He took me to a private range to break in my Remington 700 Police LTR when i first got it. I really like this place, I will always be a customer.

I found Precision Arms by searching on Google, when I got there I was impressed by the selection of firearms, assorted pistols, shotguns, precision rifles and tactical rifles. Extremely overpriced and kind of makes me feel uncomfortable when the, I think owner, doesnt allow you to open the action of a gun you want to look at to make sure it is unloaded. I ask him why. He said this is a gun store, it shouldnt be loaded. Isnt one of the first rules you learn about guns is to never assume a firearm isnt loaded?

Wow, what can I say... a store that has precision long range target rifles and the gear that is needed to go with them. Optics, mounts and the proper cleaning equipment. When you go in there you are being helped by the store owner that has the knowledge and the experiece of longrange shooting... not some guy just trying to give you advice on something he has not done. Long range, precision target shooting is obviously not a cheap sport and you definately get what you pay for. Optics are the key componet to shooting and Precision Arms has what is needed: Nightforce, US Optics, Leupold... these scopes are what it takes to hold zero and track perfectly. Nothing is worse than having a scope not track and return to zero while your trying to make a drop chart. The scope needs to do this everytime not sometimes. I have been in this store many times and will always go back. The service and the willingness to help are A+.

Stay clear of this place by all means. The owner overcharges for everything,like others have said hes over opinionated and is full of himself. Hes rude and insults his customers, not to mention hell pride himself on being one of the few shops does work for Police Agencies in the area. Dont ask for anything lower than 500$ or he might show you to the exit.

A small shop with only one staff available but the individual has enthusiasm to spare when you need a question answered.
