Took a dell laptop in the guy did not go on eBay like most we where doing a Study with 4 pawnshop in the Essex and Dundalk Area but the service that was received here I will give it 2 stars the gentleman did not even get on eBay he looked on the back in the current year of the laptop which was a 2017 he said I’ll give you 50 bucks for it let’s go back to three additional pawnshops popular pawn in Dundalk was are 1 stop there offered us $140 fast cash pawn brokers In Dundalk offered us $100 last but not least gold mine in Essex offered us $120 Even though as Essex has commercials saying that they pay the most on products according to our study they pay the least

This Is my favorite pawn shop in the state of Maryland the owner is very friendly and a ladies man with all the older women. And the two other guys they are so sweet and caring and always smiling. They always help me when I need it most I feel like they have become friends more then workers to me and that is what we need more of in this 🌎 they do not take older items but if you build credit with them they might work with you so don’t worry! Let first start this by saying if youre in a jam or strapped for cash, Essex Pawn is by far the BEST shop in the area to do business with. The staff members are incredibly helpful, professional, and honest. They also have an excellent assortment of goods at great prices. Theyve made a customer for life here. Ive been a customer of Essex Pawn shop for years now and I have to say that theyre top notch in quality, service, and merchandise. Ive bought from and sold to them and have had great experiences either way. They always give me a fair deal. Also, they have a great layaway program that Ive taken advantage on several occasions.

I have dealt with these guys several times and they are very professional and more importantly, very flexible. I went through a pretty rough time and was unable to make a payment one month. I called and they were very understanding and allowed me the extra time to get my payment into them. They understood how important my ring is to me and were very willing to work with me. Most pawn shops have zero leniency but these guys are awesome! They are laid back and fun to interact with. They also give very fair prices for pawn or loan items. I strongly recommend these guys for anyone that may be looking for some quick cash for a few weeks or are looking to clear out some old items. You wont be sorry. Took some gold in he didnt explain anything didnt talk to me about what gold went for . He gave me 50 for just about 2 grams of 18 kt. Gold I looked into it and it goes for 34 a gram so basically dont go there to sell gold I get tons of gold from storage units I buy and I wont go back there also he didnt ask me if I wanted to pawn it he just put it down as a buy go to owl medals they pay the real amount you deserve

Had bought 2 GPS systems a cpl yrs back was treated great n gave me good deal on buying them both. Have never pawned or sold anything there However a week ago I used their email contact, to get a feel of interest in items I have and needed some cashwas hoping to get a reply without me having to carry all the stuff up there,,,Never had a reply or phone callwhy have an email contact if NO ONE is going to reply?so not impressed with their attention to prospective customersto load n unload our car just to be turned down isnt worth the trip.. is why we chose the email route yet no reply.....

THE WORST PLACE TO BUY ANYTHING. Bought a drill for work. They said it came with a 30 day warranty and i took it home. Charged up the batteries and went to work. Next day the drill ran for less than 5 minutes. Dead batteries. So i checked for prices online and its 90$ a battery!!! I went back to them on the 3rd day and asked for a refund. They just basically told me to F off and never come back.Horrible business! DONT BUY ANYTHING THERE! Also DO NOT SELL YOUR GOLD TO THEM, they pay dirt cheap prices! You can get much higher prices across town.

Been here several times to pawn things when waiting for my contracts to pay out. usually have a good experience, but i will say that they need an expert in musical and audio gear. Doesnt seem that they understand the difference between pro gear and pro-sumer gear. Also, its hard to get them to understand that not every model from a manufacturer is weighted equally. Manufacturers make beginners gear, which is what they are familiar with, and they also make pro gear, which they cant wrap their heads around price differences. Like i said, i usually have a pleasant experience, but good luck if you are trying to pawn or sell anything that a true professional musician or audio engineer would want or need.

Wanted to sell my 14k gold bracelet - 7 pennyweight. Weighed at the post office. I did my homework. going price was $32/pennyweight. I would have taken $30. My boyfriend has purchased from Essex pawn for years, and suggested I go to them first. So I went in (alone). He looked at it, weighed it (as expected - 7 pennyweight), offered me $14/pennyweight! I was insulted and said, Ill take nothing less than $32. He came up to $28 and I walked out! Had I not done my homework, they would have taken advantage of me. Not who I would want to do business with. I went to another pawn shop (on Merrit Blvd) with my boyfriend, they offered me $32/penny weight - as soon as I walked in. I shared what Essex Pawn did. They hear that a lot from Essex - course consider the source, but I didnt even have to negotiate the going rate - you decide who you would rather do business with. I wont use Essex Pawn anymore and neither will my boyfriend. Good luck. Others have reported customer service was excellent. they were prompt to serve me and were very polite. I wont take that away from them. You decide on your own priorities.

Im so happy I came to this shop! The associates there: Anthony, Howard and Brian were so sweet!! And friendly... and welcoming... I had some very genuine and sweet conversations with them while I was there and that sort of thing makes me remember the establishment and makes me want to come back again. They accept almost anything (jewelry, tools, tvs, laptops, instruments, even memorabilia!! And much more) I was shocked when they accepted this random popcorn maker that I brought from home. Im telling you, theyre awesome :) 10/10 would recommend, I know Ill be going back! 😁 thank you gentlemen!!

I drive miles from my home in the city just to come to Essex Pawn. Everyone here is super professional and friendly. This is the only pawn shop I trust, though I live in an area where there is one on just about every corner.

I have always been treated with respect and fairly also they have helped me when I came in, I have been coming here from the time they frist opened and I wouldnt go anywhere but here!

I came in thinking it was gonna be a rip off like other pawn shops. My man Brian hooked me up with the deal of the century. I usually dont name my price when they ask because they always go like $100 lower. I was thinking I would get a buck for my tv and I asked him how much I could borrow, he immediately said 150. I took the deal on the spot. Check out Essex pawn before you get ripped off somewhere else.
