Definitely worth going. Strawberries 13$ a bucket if you pick. We paid 20$ for 3 buckets of peaches. Very nice and friendly people. We have already been twice in 2 weeks. Sweetest fruit ever. They even give you a hay ride to the strawberry patch or peach trees. Had bouncy houses for the kids. Also have concession stand.
We stopped by here on our way to Florida from Georgia on Sunday, April 18th and Thursday, April 22nd. We had an amazingly great experience the first time and an amazingly awful experience the second time.We initially stopped because we saw the homemade ice cream sign, not realizing they also offered strawberry picking. When we realized they were a strawberry farm, we asked to go picking and the ladies said there wasnt a lot of strawberries left but we were welcome to go out. This was around 2pm. There were 4 of us and we each managed to scrounge up a half basket each. Everyone was super friendly and nice and when we mentioned that we would be driving back the same way on Thursday, they told us that we should come back because the would be plenty more strawberries by then and it was pick 2 baskets, get 1 free.Flash forward to Thursday and we stop off again to pick strawberries, this time it was around 3pm. We walked in and asked for the tractor ride to the strawberry fields and the woman there who seemed to be in charge told us they were closing for the day because there were no strawberries left. We were surprised since we were specifically told to come back on this day because there would be strawberries. We explained it to the woman and a man who was working there and they kept saying no, we dont let people pick strawberries until they grow bigger. We were about to leave when the tractor driver returned with a family and not having heard any of our conversations, he wanted us over to the tractor and asked if we were waiting to go to the strawberry fields. Pleasantly surprised, we hopped in and went to the same fields we had been to on Sunday. There was someone else picking strawberries out there and when we got off the tractor, wee could see the strawberries were huge and bright red - it was a much better harvest than when we stopped by on Sunday. We remembered the deal so we each got 3 buckets for a total of 12 buckets of strawberries. We headed back with our 12 buckets and as they take us up, they told us they didnt have enough cardboard boxes for us so they would need to put a few buckets into bags. We told them it wasnt a problem and we could also combine the strawberries into the boxes they had - that we could make it fit. So as they handed us or cardboard boxes, we started combining to try to fit 12 buckets into the 9 boxes they had. We managed to fit everything but 1 box of strawberries which they put into a bag for us. They rang us up and told us the total was $141. Now at $13 per bucket, buy 2 get 1 free, 12 total buckets that should have cost us only $104.See the rest of the review in the pictures.
What a fun experience! We enjoyed picking blueberries and peaches in early June. There were other families there, but it was not crowded. I do recommend long pants and closed-toe shoes if youre going to pick. We also bought some fresh tomatoes that made great BLTs.
It was a cute place to visit. They had Jellies and a few different things for sale inside. I went with the Kindergarten group. They had it fixed up cute. I was concerned about a few things. One was the play area I double checked for snakes. It seemed like a good place for a snake to hide. One of the slides had a hump at the bottom of it. When my Grand daughter slide down she hurt her bottom. The next day when I was getting her in the tub she had a big bruise from it on her bottom. I think they just need to rethink some safety issues.I ordered a BBQ sandwich. It was good. The fries were hot.
I had a really good bbq sandwich here. I would not pick fruit here though, the peaches were bad quality
Drove an hour to come pick peaches, got there at around 1:30 today (tuesday) and it was closed. Said it would be open online, on the website and on their answering machine. Pulled up and there wasn’t a single other car there. The sign in the window said open yet the door was locked and we tried to call and no answer so it was obviously not open… At least they had checkers on the porch! Even worse, it’s in the absolute middle of no where and any other place we could’ve gone to was an hour and a half at least in the opposite direction. Considered just walking into the fields to take a single peach but my conscious told me otherwise. Quite upsetting experience none the less :( Went to see a fish’s memorial (Leroy Brown) in Eufuala instead… stood there for 5 seconds and still a way better experience😂 2 stars for Leroy.
I love Backyard Orchards! Seeing how much they have expanded over the years has been awesome. Support our local farmers! ❤️
Nice little store to stop at in the country. We had homemade ice cream. Blueberry cheesecake, peach, strawberry, banana pudding, and it was great.
This was an awesome experience to share with my daughter and nephews! The strawberries were plentiful and the kids picked almost 4 gallons
Bought some of the best produce here, and my daughters are loving the bouncy house available. Taking my three year old for her birthday again today.
After driving for, what seemed like for ever, we were in great need of a pit stop. And, we happened upon this wonderful hidden treasure! We were able to use the bathrooms (which were very clean), and get something to eat! (Highly recommend The peaches!) The staff was very friendly, and went out of their way to help us. If you get the chance to stop in, do it! You wont regret it :)
Such an adorable little place. It felt like we were pulling up at the grandparents house for Sunday dinner.
It was great we bought Tomatoes blueberries and sugar coated pecans
Homemade ice cream strawberry and peach in waffle cone! Both were delish!!
CLOSED DOWN!!! DROVE OVER FOR NOTHING!! UPDATE YOUR SIGHT!!!
This was a great place would recommend it to everyone
Such great local, homemade products.
Nice place! The store is well thought out, and picnic tables and rocking chairs, lunch menu and ice cream. Not all flavors were available, but I love vanilla. It had flecks of orange! And the mint chocolate chip was nice and minty - good for a humid day that was making us feel queasy in the sun.
I love this roadside fatm. With children rides, swings & ICE CREAM! Fresh veggies, too! A welcome rest on the road
Great homemade icecream!
Awesome place for strawberry 🍓picking
Great place for some family fun. Ice cream cones, blueberry picking, and a tire swing. Nice way to enjoy a few hours on a day off.
I really enjoyed my 30 minute trip from southwest Georgia to come pick some strawberries last weekend. It was a glorious day to get outside. However, at Backyard Orchards, there was ZERO practicing of physical distancing or disinfecting. People were all milling around standing in tight groups as if there was no virus, no pandemic, and no concern. This place needs to put some warnings and guidelines in place. They need to help people stay safe by putting up signs regarding standing six feet apart, washing hands, etc. There was nothing. I felt very unsafe. It’s not likely I will return.
Had a wonderful time with my girlfriend. Great prices, good location, and the people are so nice!
Place straight out the twilight zone.
I Love this place! The girls were very friendly and helpful. They even allowed my dog to join us inside.Good selection of fruits and vegetables. I will definitely be back. The Blueberries are AWESOME!
You gotta stop there on your way South or North. Best homemade ice cream and fried fruit pies. All types of fresh produce in season.
The ice cream was delicious
Awesome Fresh fruit and vegetables. You can pick them or purchase already picked ones
These nice farmers did a great job of harvesting delicious fruits and vegetables. Gave me a free watermelon because my card was acting up. I would recommend
Awesome place. Lots of fresh produce and a variety of jarred items.
We will be back ❤️ Wonderful fresh fruits, vegetables, homemade canned fruits, vegetables jellies, jams, honey and syrup.
Great ice cream!!!
A nice lil rest stop where u can pick your own fruit!
Ice cream was delicious. peaches very good. yall stop by. very friendly place 😊
Fruit picking, specialty ice cream, bouncy houses, and much more. A great place for kids! However, I do think the bouncy houses could uses some more attention (cleaning and maintenance).
This place has great fresh fruit and veggies. We bought a 42# watermelon that was absolutely delish! And it was so large, we shared it with a neighbor. Very friendly.
A variety of fruits, very good prices, some of the best peach ice cream, negative was the parking lot is not paved, wet and red clay.
The ice cream was pretty good. The produce was obviously fresh. The location is a good stop on a long drive. The place is unbearably hot in the summer and the fans arent really a help with the heat or flies. The employees were nice, but did not look happy to be there.
Icecream and Milkshake was the best. It was so damn fresh.
Great place of the beaten path. Great icecream.
Down home hospitality! Delicious pick your own strawberries! Ice Cream window and a cute tire swing. Clean bathrooms. GREAT stop! ps get twice as many Strawberries as you think youll want!!
Love this place
So we stopped, on our way home to Augusta, GA from PCB, FL, to get ice cream and they had just closed. Moments before we stopped a lady and her two young sons had a flat and pulled into the orchard. The owner was helping her with minimal success. My husband helped out and the owner asked us what kind of ice cream we wanted. She gave us cones of blueberry for free. God blessed her right back, several customers pulled up and she stayed open for their purchases ;-) Wonderful orchard and beautiful people in Eufaula
Great place to take the kids for a couple hours. The strawberries are so delicious!! You are missing out if you buy store bought!
Very small selection of produce. The homemade ice cream was not very good
Stopped in for Peaches, which were great. Decided to get some ice cream to go, 4 cups. When opened it later it was all icy, like it had been stored for a while. Was expecting fresh.
A pleasant icecream surprise on our travels...
Love this place. Homemade ice cream tastes delicious. The fruit is delicious!!
Stopped here to use the restroom and staff was super friendly! Bought the cutest book for my son, unique gifts!
My sons class and I had an awesome time on the bouncy houses. Plus we learned about strawberrys and how to pick them. The staff was very patient and kind, laughing with us parents while we chased after our kids. My BBQ sandwich was very tasty. My kids and I will be back soon.
Such a fun cute farm! They have great fudge
Super yummy ice cream, fresh fruit, and clean bathrooms is all I know about this place. Passing through on the way to PCB, we stopped for a leg stretch and snack. We loved it and will look for it on the way back!
Very beautiful place to stop n stretch and get home made jams jellies & soaps.
Great service, great milkshake, fresh fruit
Great hidden treasure of a family friendly place just outside of Euphaula...
Most delicious fruit and beautiful setting!
This place sales slokum ala.tomatoes
A Fun Stop!!!
They made sure that our path was clear special for us to pic some amazing peaches.
Call before you go there! According to website peaches are from June-August and they are picking everyday. We drove 1 hr to get there and there were no peaches, I inquired where they were and I was told our season is over its June 26? We bought a pint of blueberries that were mushy and old.. might be a good place when they have stuff! Call before you go!!
Great strawberry picking time. I picked 9 lbs and they were GOOD. A nice out of the way place to pick whats in season.
Weve come here the last two years with the kids and they seem to really enjoy it. We paid around $40 for a family pass this year which included bounce houses, tractor ride, corn maze (high maze!!), a smallpumpkin for each of us (4 total), cow train ride for the kids, an obstacle course, and a few other activities. We spent about 2 hours here, so I consider the price to be reasonable. There are bigger, busier, more attractive pumpkin patches in the area, but we prefer this location. They have lots of Spookley the square pumpkin merchandise and signage with my youngest really enjoys. This is about an hour drive from Harris County. Less from Columbus.
A very unique little orchard that has several different types.of things. Seasonal self pick choices
The cashier was very nice!! I expected more fruit then blue berries and peaches... there were other items such as pastries and veggies.
Great place to bring the family. Had a blast and got a lot of berries. Cant wait for blueberries.
Very nice people. Fresh produce and great salsa
Website said they were open 8-5 drove 47 min. to get there and they were closed
Had a great time picking blueberries, and eating homemade ice cream! Thank you for a lovely day!!!
Wonderful homemade ice creams, Jana & jellys & more. Friendly staff. Would come again.
Have taken the kids here several times and they have always enjoyed it. Great produce, atmosphere, and experience.
They have an apple butter syrup with no added sugar. I bought this for my diabetic dad and he loves it.
Yall come! Its an orchard. We arent going to do anything to impress you. Im sure there had to be a mission statement similar to this posted somewhere.
Nothing great here. No rides, the stuff they offered sucked, didnt even really have any produce or food or anything for sale, what they did have was super expensive and disgusting. Not really sure what theyre even trying to sell or do there.
Very good produce and yummy ice cream.
Best watermelon Ive ate all year..restrooms super clean
OMG if you ever get the chance to stop I highly recommend it. Delicious!
My daughter had a good time with her class.
Great food and prices!
Blueberries behind the green house, peaches and strawberries in the front.
Stopped to get homemade ice cream and they were out of the one I stopped for. Very disappointed.
My family loved the place.
Kids has such a great time.
Picked our own, really hot out
Delicious homemade desserts. Must try the fried pies.
Very helpful and friendly
Very nice and good prices
The icecream was awesome
Small and cute, strawberries are good but a little overpriced comparing to other places in South Alabama
Great fun with the family
