My favorite hardware store. Period. Full stop. Linzy and her crew in customer service are the best.

Quality inventory. Customer service needs help and item pricing needs improvement. A good third of the screws, bolts, and nuts they sell are misplaced and dont have a price on the item. You are supposed to label you bag when you pay but the item I picked out specifically doesnt have a price and the lady had the audacity to ask me leave the line and label the bag while in the middle of paying for it. After explaining I looked she suggested I go find someone who works in the department. Over 1.60 really ? I went back and looked for another couple minutes. No help in site and the specific screws I had werent priced. Just a frustrating overall experience and a waste of time. So I ended up going to Shaffers off E St . Got everything I needed.

Pierson building center is a Humboldt county go to hardware store. The staff is helpful great to interact with and knowledgeable if you need building supplies this is the place.

Even though they arent known for their large amounts of discounts, most of the crew are friendly and helpful creatures. You can get almost everything you need for your project in 1place and the establishment is pet friendly. Of course it probably depends on what kind of pet you have. I have not tried wild animals over 130lbs😁

June 15th and Piersons is still requiring mask. I completely understand that this is a private business and respect that. The however is I wont be wearing a mask if the state no longer requires it. I will no longer be shopping at Piersons. Unfortunately I buy allot there. Now someone else will get our business.

Theyre a good lumber yard for the area great garden center for the green thumb.

Once again, they had what I needed as a homeowner builder. Replacement gutter guard, 1.99 for 3 feet, white brown or black, I needed 6 pieces of brown to repair an existing gutter. And 3x 6 Plexiglas for an exterior window cover. Cut it down to 3x5 with the scoring tool they recommended. Love that when something needs repair from a 10 year old gutter to a hundred year old window, they usually have what I need. Very knowledgeable people working in areas they know quite a bit about... Glad youre here, Piersons.

One of the best stops for whatev you might desire that you would first think of home depot or lowes when shopping, except...Its not laid out all impersonally line a warehouse warehouse and there people generally get you with a smile and a desire to make sure you have a great shopping experience. They dont just say aisle five without ever looking up to make eye contact and actually enjoy taking you to three produce youre asking about - at prices comparable to three gigantiloid, cold, warehouses.Its truly a joy, like shopping in a small general store, except its about as big as those other monolithic, vacant icing that most people generally think of when getting building or gardening supplies, but with the general hardware store items too.I cant say enough good things about my experience everytime I need an item and visit Piersonstallship awards this establishment:⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵Five sailboats!!.

No mask no service, even with a vax

No one enjoys going to Home Depot. Its a necessary evil. God help you if you actually have a question about a product or means and methods because youll only get a blank stare. Not so at Piersons. Their selection is as comprehensive as what youd find at an HD, and the associates are actually knowledgeable. Theyve given me some solid tips on many of my hundreds of trips into the shop. This is what a hardware store should always be like.

There are always 5-star staff here. The products are decent as well as the selection. They will order other things you may want that they dont carry. The garden center, lumber yard, and main store are well maintained, stocked, and staffed. Weve done several remodels with their materials that have turned out really well. So glad we have them in our area.

I have shopped there many times. But my favorite thing there is their nursery. I am a photographer and they graciously allowed me to take many photos of the flowers they carry. Some of my best work was done there. So many types to splendor at! Their orchid selection is amazing! Stop in and see for yourself!

Absolutely pathetic customer service. Allow me to buy four times the amount I needed of a product. Then refused to except it as a refund so I am stuck with three times more product than I needed will. Will never shop there again will never enter the building beware if you’re purchasing anything at Pearson’s.

Great variety of tools, lumber, hardware, plants, and all well organized. My favorite is they have a Ramones Bakery inside, a wood stove, free coffee (guessing pre-COVID), and a beautiful garden area, includes large koi fish that you can feed, and cute cat somewhere in the garden.

Went to get veggie seeds and plants. Definitely got most of what we needed. Love their garden center!! 😊

Pretty much the only building supply center in the area. There are other places you can get building supplys although not as much variety... similar to home depot but 2-3 x the price

I love this place. The help is awesome. I usually get asked two or three times if I need any help and help is always right on. I had to just recently order some interior doors and everything went perfect. Eureka is lucky to have such a place. I sure like it alot, way better than Lowes and Home Depot. Give it a try.

A great place to find pretty flowers and neat things for your garden. They have awesome people to help you find what you need to find. And they can answer any question you have about pretty much anything. I recommend this place to anybody that is doing their yard or fixing their house up

Decent place, but you will overpay for many things over MSRP. For instance, theyre selling a 50 pound bag of Milorganite fertilizer for 30 dollars. At True Value in Mckinleyville I can order two bags of 32 pound Milorganite of the same exact formula for 30 dollars, so I am getting 14 extra pounds of fertilizer for the same price. The list goes on on how Piersons will have you overpay for things found elsewhere. Not to mention the business owner tried to delay a housing project for the homeless. Why pay above MSRP if most of the employees are making minimum wage? So we can enrich one family through the pockets of struggling locals?

Piersons is the place to go for anything repair or replace on your list. They have a well stocked lumber yard, and their garden shop is fantastic to look through and purchase from when you want gorgeous flowers, bushes, trees or seeds to start your own garden. Christmas time is especially fun. They have a great Christmas shop. And many local artists bring their goods to be sold.

Hard to find assistance and the tile selection is pretty small.

Hard to find help when you need it. Got help from the electrical manager and he wasnt much help. Was definitely rude and matter of factly attitude. Could have read the packaging just as well as he did. Bought a light fixture and bulbs nothing special.

While most of the staff are helpful they have a few employees that are less then knowledgeabl, especially if you have an out of the ordinary problem. This hardware store has the best selection, even if its a little more expensive.

Piersons building center is a great place to go shopping as far as a one-stop-shop but their prices are pretty sky high for a drill that they have on Amazon and let me just say Amazon does not have the most competitive prices just the most convenient prices and it will be dropped off right at your doorstep was $150 plus tax and on Amazon was 89 dollars plus tax and free shipping. When I asked them if they would price match Amazon they looked at me like I just took a poop in their toilet display and said we dont do that no price matching wed be out of business. So I bought the drill anyways. I looked at the box and its a model from 2017 the year is almost 2019 the 2019 model is out and theyre still selling it for more than $50 more then almost anywhere else. Their staff is great theyre pretty knowledgeable about most things they seem to be the more helpful hardware store around. I would suggest shopping around and comparing prices because you might be surprised.

Treated badly for not wearing a mask...when i indicated i was unable too due to medical issues i asked why which is against both ADA and HIPAA...will be petitioning to bring in either a home depot or lowes...

My wife does the main shopping here, primarily in the gardening section. Weve been doing here for years and have always been happy. Theyre quick to accept returns for unneeded items and have always been very quick to help when we need it in the store. They just need to accept Amex!!

The staff are almost always knowledgeable and experienced in their departments. I can get thoughtful and informed advice on tricky repair and building projects. Sure, you might be able to save a few dollars elsewhere, but what does that get you when you need advice and helpfulness.

Prices for Humboldt County are what they are. Piersons has a great selection with competitive rates. I will say their customer service far exceeds the local Ace on Henderson. And there are plenty of employees seeking out customers to help vise having to search for an employee to assist.I especially like seeing the local fund raiser bake sells on the weekends, shows that Piersons cares about supporting these groups.I also love the old man looking down at the store. My first time seeing him up there, I didnt realize it was a painting!!! Love it :)
