What a cute little place to take Grandma for a conf treat! My family loves the ice cream...especially the rose flavor! Excellent service, even when they thought we ordered an extra ice cream! Will come back when we come to see Grandma.

Waffle cones were yummy according to my husband. Wish they had a selection of sugar free ice creams.

Their vanilla Gelato is amazing. No wonder they had a line, but worth the wait.

Dirty Monkey ice cream. In a waffle cone. Good people with the common decency to make peanut butter ice cream for the hungry masses. This is a fine ice cream spot right on the waterfront. Id go again if I were in Eureka.

Had a lovely conversation with the Ice-cream Bouncer. With someone as well qualified as an ex casino security guard, we can all rest easy knowing that Eurekas ice-cream will remain safe. Plus, my sister thought she was cute, so thats an easy five stars.

This place is awesome! Happened by it after eating dinner next door, Bayfront Restaurant. Was around 9pm and was excited to see this place open. The smell as I was passing by made it near impossible to not stop. Freshly made waffle cones smell like Churros, yum. The employees were wonderful and personable, very knowledgeable in their products. Was Covid careful; everyone in masks and front doors open (which helped with the clean air feel). Very interesting flavors of ice cream. One was a police flavor; with real donut bits and coffee flavored ice cream. I had a root bear float with vanilla malt ice cream, delicious! Highly recommend it. They have a fridge with bottle and can beverages. No indoor seating.

The ice-cream here is great. They have the standards - vanilla, strawberry, etc.; but I love trying the unique ones (which they always have a good variety of). I got peanut butter honey today, and it was excellent!

Dont get the peach habernero flavor. Its just vanilla ice cream wit a bit of flavor in the pink stripe on top.

The ice cream is...not that great. The flavors sound inventive but theyre not that strong. The honey grahams and cake batter flavors tasted like plain vanilla. Youre paying for the location.

The gelato is delicious. We tried the vanilla and the green tea flavors. The waffle cones were fresh and almost warm. The girls who worked in the store were friendly but didnt seem thrilled to be there.

The dairy free vanilla tasted and felt like marshmallow ice cream! A unique experience to have DF not taste like coconut.

Ive never had ice cream like this anywhere. They have figured out some crazy formula. The ice creams are all infused with some incredible flavors - it doesnt really matter which one you order, they are all fantastic. The only drawback is the timing and their speed - we waited in like for 15 mins for a few cones which was unnecessary.

Ice cream has been rated so good but we found it a disappointment. Not creamy at all, flavor lacking in the chocolate chip cookie dough. Mostly chocolate chips and very little cookie dough. Same with peanut butter cup. It was icy and not flavorful or rich tasting.

The day went from rainy to sunny when we drove to Old Town Eureka. Got thirsty for a milkshake a few days ago and during our walk we found this place. The people are nice and we enjoyed the milkshakes. When you are in this area, stop by and enjoy the ice cream, the scenery and the beautiful waterfront.

We love this place!!! Their quality of ice cream and gelato is superb and unlike anything else. I absolutely love their raspberry habanero ice cream. They have so many creative and interesting flavors and my bestie loves the fact that she can also get dairy-free ice cream there!

Such bomb.c0m, and REAL ice cream! Unlike a Frosty or Mc Flurry, which are soooo good too, but cmon now... its not real ice cream. This place the real deal, a local biz, friendly & pretty staff, and like I said... the ice cream, all the flavors, waffle cones are the bomb.c0m! I was pleasantly surprised to see that throughout the pandemic, they were still open & poppin! The employees all were wearing masks (obviously) & everything was super clean & cute. (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧ 10/10 would recommend!

We had the vegan mint ice cream with the waffle cone. It was amazing! So creamy, dreamy and delicious. Not too sweet, it was just right! It was Goldilocks perfect with chocolate chips in it. One of my favorite ice cream flavors of all time. Another one is peanut butter. Thanks for the little taste of heaven. It’s exactly what I wanted.

Great little ice cream shop on the boardwalk. Not in such a great part of town but, well worth the risk to have a scoop of delicious ice cream. The Grandpas Breakfast was awesome!

Cinnamon Gelato is a little gritty. I never learn. But the sweet Cream is great. Napkins would have been nice as it is eat out only and you cant just grab some if needed.

1000% Worth the wait in line!! We are new to the area, had visited down by The Living the Dream Ice Cream a few times but there was always a long line. One day we decided to wait in that long line(which was 10 people long out the door and still only waited max - 15 minutes in line on a busy summer weekend!!) And SO HAPPY we did!! Their banana ice cream was the BEST ICE CREAM Ive EVER had!! Please dont let what looks like a long line deter you! They are fast, efficient and DELICIOUS!!💗🍦

I love this place... Salted Caramel Gelato is seriously the best. They have done a great job adapting to Covid-19 requirements while still serving an amazing product!

The ice cream is very good and theres new flavors at most every week. Theyre very unique flavors as well. They range from Mint Chip, to Maple Bacon. Both are very scrumptious flavors. I suggest going here on a hot or cold day because the ice cream here makes you feel all warm and happy inside.

The best ice cream shop I have ever visited, hands down. The flavors are rich and fresh. Local ingredients used, small batches. The flavors rotate and something new is always available. There are quite a few dairy free options always available. The cones are made fresh every day and they are so good. I absolutely love this place.

Really good. Worth the price that I paid. Very good portions. And very good service. Not just for the tourist but for those who live here as well. Worth the trip to go downtown.I know this is not something I would have considered as part of the rating but the bathroom is clean and well taken care of. I would seriously like to see more restaurants and food establishments take a note about this kind of thing.

A good way to sample their flavors is to do a flight or 2. Their flights are 8 small scoops. My wife and I each sampled different flights and shared/9 tasted 16 flavors. All were yummy!

They always have 2 non dairy options. If you are vegan or dont do dairy this is a place you must try. I get both flavors together in a waffle cone. Awesome!

The ice cream base is super smooth and rich. They have a nice variety of flavors and some unusual ones as well. The flavors are very subtle, but the overall taste is really good. We got the sampler, which I definitely recommend. The staff was friendly. You can actually see the cones being made behind the counter. There are some dairy free options as well.

Homemade flavor because it is homemade! YUM YUM! We had Vanilla Malt, Peanut Butter and Honey, and their version of cookies n cream. All very creamy and good! Just like moms! Even the waffle cones (made onsite) are melt in your mouth tender. THE BEST!

The line we entered was staggering out the door which is common for this place. We waited in line for about 45 minutes but it is always worth it. We enjoy this ice cream more than everywhere else.

The lack of stars should not reflect the service and/or experience shared by my family INSIDE this ice cream shop...5 stars all day.Nice location in old town F street, only if there wasnt the homeless problem.....not just on either side of this family ice cream shop, but persistent in the Eureka area, from on Broadway to all over old town. It takes the joy of having small children with you while fending off panhandlers and beggars in general. It definitely will cross my mind before planning another trip to this nicely run dessert spot.

Excellent ice cream, several options

They have fun flavors that are unique. Right on the boardwalk/old town marina. Limited indoor seating, and one outdoor table and chairs. They used to have punch cards for cones, but dont offer them any longer which is a bummer.

Love this place. Always a wide variety of unique and classical flavors plus a grip of non-dairy offerings for those inclined. Waffle cones, made to order ice cream sandwiches and more. Awesome location down on the revamped water front in old Town Eureka. Friendly service, classic sodas and pints to go round out a top shelf ice cream parlor!

I love this place! Possibly my favorite ice cream shop?!? Certainly my favorite in the area. They are always switching up flavors, giving you something new and interesting to try like Thai Iced Tea or Honey Grahams. But they have their classics too like Cake Batter or Pistacio Nut. Im pretty sure the cones and cookies are made in house and theyre really good. Even when it gets a little busy, the staff is always friendly (and patient when you want to try a few flavors!) Plus, its right on the boardwalk so you can enjoy your ice cream looking out to the ocean and Eureka Bay. Perfect!

Living the Dream Ice Cream is my favorite place to get ice cream and walk the boardwalk. I love their chocolate chip mint! Simply fantastic! I try to go there every chance I get! I definitely recommend for any one who enjoys ice cream and take a good walk on the boardwalk! Truly wonderful!

Great ice cream!! We loved the size more than expected . not too sweet, great service very friendly girl. She even complemented my wifes scarf and chat with us about the weather. Lovely little ice cream shop located in Old Town. On F street. On the Boardwalk. Organic Ingredients, fresh Ingredients, seasonal and classic flavors. Offering fresh baked cookies for ice cream sandwiches, as well as fresh made waffle cones.

Delicious and unique ice cream flavors, the cones are very flavorful too. Always nice after a dinner date.

Who tells children they’re only allowed 3 samples before choosing their ice cream flavor?? The man working in there was rude and made my autistic daughter cry. No understanding of developmental disabilities at this establishment. Lost yourselves a family of customers.
