BAD!! Do not waste your time or spend your money here. Employees are rude, and the manager is even worse. Unwilling to be nice or have a good attitude. There was actually only one employee who was nice to us.

ALWAYS friendly and very helpful employees. I travel a lot and have rented trucks, trailers and pickup trucks from here. Everyone has been clean, maintain and a great experience to rent!

Not sure if this U-Haul place knows anything about customer service. I just sat on hold after 30 minutes called back to sit on hold for another additional 12 minutes no one helped me with a trailer I was trying to rent. I believe who ever is managing this place needs to be fired. Someone needs to come on to this U-Haul place and do some proper training because clearly there not trying to do any work here at all.

BEWARE...had an appointment for 12:30 for a hitch install w/brake controller, drove 3 hours one way to get there. Upon arrival and waiting, was told my hitch did not arrive. No phone call, email not text the day prior to let me know, just an appointment for nothing. Wasted 6 hours of my day and a tank of gas in an E350. The staff looks young and by the way things were being handled they are also inexperienced, wont let them touch my vehicle. The manager couldnt have cared less and acted nonchalant about the whole situation. THESE PEOPLE ARE CLOWNS. Should have read the reviews prior to coming, all the negative reviews are quite accurate.

I was charged twice and no refund. charge an extra $600.00+ for wrong destination fee!

Made a res for getting a tow package installed. A week later I went to the appointment date they set. After a half hour wait with one person in front of me, uhhhh we should have called you, your part may not be in for 2-3 months. Well Im only here for 2 weeks and YOU haul really screwed me over....

I have 2 complaints for U-Haul Moving & Storage of Eureka: If you buy something there you cant return it unless you have your receipt. I bought a trailer hitch pin but ended up not using it. I never used it or took it out of it packaging. The second complaint I have is the amount of time it took to get a propane tank filled. I waited over 30 minutes because there was only 1 employee on duty. He was a nice guy but he was trying to rent U-haul vehicles, answer the phone, sell store items, fill propane tanks, rent storerooms, etc. Way too much work for 1 person.

The staff at this location have been exceptionally wonderful. We came in several times just to ask questions and they were always helpful and friendly, no matter who we dealt with. They have gone above and beyond to make our experience as quick and easy as possible. They even carried our moving boxes to our truck for us. Thank you to all of the staff at the Jacobs​ Avenue, Eureka U-haul. You have changed my view of U-haul.

I rented a small trailer overnight, everything went smoothly. The staff were informed and courteous, and handled all connections themselves on departure and return. Most importantly, they had proper covid prevention measures in place for customers, and the staff were respectful of boundaries.

My boyfriend reserved a storage unit here weeks in advance. The day we needed to get in, we get there and they have nothing for us. We showed them our reservation on THEIR website, and we werent in their system at all. We didnt get a single call about our reservation being canceled or changed. Very displeased.

I reserved a truck and then they call 4 days before pick up and canceled my reservation. No option to reschedule or anything, just canceled. Now with 4 days to go before Im supposed to move across the country Im stranded without the truck that I reserved, and no time to make other arrangements.

Workers are super friendly and helpful, box truck we rented was kinda dirty on the outside but really thats the only complaint!

I needed to rent a pickup truck, dolly and cherry picker to get my old car that needed an engine, and the old and new engines. It was a nightmare because we had to take the dolly home first and go get the cherry picker the next morning. I kept it 2 extra days on short notice and they figured out how to make it work. The gas station close to them (Renner) wouldnt take my card. Since I had already put gas in it, it was just a hair short but they let me slide. I highly recommend the Eureka office by Samoa.

Emptied our 4 Uboxes on May 30, 2020. Got a bill for June storage of those boxes (which were EMPTIED and ready for reassignment). Manager refuses to return my calls and now I’m out $75.90 all because the manager won’t return my calls, refund me, or put in the correct return date (Brent put it in as June 2nd so I wouldn’t get billed for July).

Complete scammers. They continue to take reviews down so people cant see that they are in desperate need of money and will fight you and lie to you about the gas. Also be careful if their ap isnt working when you go to pick up the vehicle they lie and make charges to you for gas they claim you used. Have pictures and receipts with times, dates, mile all accounted for. Very poor management and staff do not know what they are doing. Rude, arrogant and clearly need the money. I have never seen a company so desperate for 20.00 from their customers that they will go to any length to get it. Scammer alert.

Great employees, false advertising, shabby storage unit.The staff is really helpful and gracious. Thank you, Ash-Lee for being so patient with me and helping me as much as you could!A sticker inside the truck states, with no further details, the first month free on a storage unit with a one-way truck or trailer rental. Nowhere did it simply say at participating locations only, when in fact that was the case, and I had to pay right away. I did, but I was bummed.Not even two weeks later and I discovered evidence of mice all over my things. After I moved everything, I found two holes which the mice could get through, one had been worked at by chewing and scratching, the other was a gap in the design of the unit itself. There should have been an inspection of the unit prior to my move-in to avoid this even being a concern in the first place.

I would give zero stars if I could. Set up an appointment for a hitch install. Drove an hour and a half to get there for my appointment and guess what...they didnt have the hitch there to install. They never called, emailed or sent a text to tell me not to waste my time coming in.Should have learned my lesson the first time Uhaul as a corporation screwed me over and not gone to them at all.

After I signed all the papers and gave them the money, they informed me that if, at anytime, I forgot to scan my card when I come or go off the property that it would trigger an alarm which would cost me a $50 fee.I decided to go ahead and rent the unit anyway.every time I went to my storage unit, the alarm would go off every time I opened and shut the door, even though I scanned the card.Also,according to the assistant manager their “climate controlled units” mean : ““the climate controls the temperature of the units”This Place Sucks/ I got a refund and went somewhere else.

2nd time I have been overcharged at this location. First time I was charged $40 for a tow hitch or something ridiculous. I had gone in there for boxes, tape, and packing paper. I had to make a trip back to get a refund. This time, I rented a truck as a temporary vehicle for my sons whose car was in the shop unexpectedly. I was given a quote over the phone. When the vehicle was picked up, they had tacked on $30 in insurance which I did not authorize. I didnt see the charge until I got the receipt after it was all done and over with. They wont discuss with me because its not my contract. Yet I am the one that set it up and paid. Absolutely the worst customer service ever!!! And they are cheats as far as I can tell.

Trailer leaked and damaged our property, manager hid and refused to take responsibility, owner of this location failed to return calls, damage insurance ONLY applies if in a crash, staff is less than knowledgeable about their products and services. Overall less than a one star.

Easy in and out. The cargo light didnt work, turns out didnt even have a bulb in it. Other than that everything was great.

!!!!WARNING: HIDDEN COSTS!!!!I ordered 2 Ubox containers to be delivered to my home and then shipped across country. I did extensive research to make sure I knew the exact cost of the move and could prepare for it, and got an email from Uhaul quoting me about $2,000 for shipping, the email did not mention a single other due amount of future cost of anything. I thought that was a total quote, and expected that if there were any other costs, Uhaul would at least have the curtesy to tell me or even include it in the quoted price. So to my surprise, on the day our containers were dropped off, the Uhaul employee says, “oh by the way, that’ll be $272 for drop off” and I was furious to be blindsided by extra costs that Uhaul didn’t even bother to explain or include in the original quote. They also did the same thing for drop off at the new location across country. My main issue is not having extra drop off costs, it’s a massive company taking advantage of people in stressful situations by neglecting to itemize each individual expense and telling its customers they owe extra amounts of money without making an effort to be upfront about ALL of the expenses. It is immoral and wrong Uhaul.

Excellent service. My move wouldnt have been possible without Ash Lee! Someone cut my trailer hookups off and he helped get it back together and get me on the road in minutes! Youre the man Ash!

Called a week maybe a little over week, to reserve a 14 truck but the day i arrived they didnt have any, only the 25 ones. they need to inform customers that reservations arent guaranteed, and need to figure out how they can begin guaranteeing this. better off going to Budget Truck

Rude! very unhelpful. 3 different employees all of whom seem to have no idea what they are doing and dont want to be there. moot the first time Ive had a bad experience here. unfortunately not a lot of options in this area.

Went to get a propane bottle refilled today 2/19/18 and had horrible service. The staff was clueless on how to fill the bottle and were very rude ended up not even getting my bottle filled luckily the redwood coastal rv and cabin park had a filling station had no problems was in and out in ten minutes. Would not recommend the uhaul place at all unless you want to waist your time and fuel to go there and still get nothing done. After todays service I will never do any business with them.

I called this U-Haul location this morning. They have yet to respond. The message on the voicemail recording indicates that they are open today. However, no one has responded to my request to rent one of their trucks today. Also, I would like to mention that this is the third time that I have tried to use their services but was forced to go with another location due to no response. Not happy with this locations customer service practices.

Ive rented several trailers from them over the last few years. Always returned them hours early. Called a head and let them know I was running a bit late. Dropped off the trailer 35 minutes late and they had to charge me for another 24 hours because the manager wouldnt authorize it.

Dont go here, shady employees, lack of education and no customer service etiquette. Worst company in Humboldt, sad but true.

Very very unprofessional staff, your job will get done, but at their pace.4.5 hours for a hitch installation.

Expect to wait half an hour to speak to a person on the phone [if you dont give up by then since your moving day is inherently so hectic] and to spend an hour in the store to pick up your reservation.

They were fast and helpful...
