From the moment I called, I had an amazing experience. The salesman was absolutely by far the best and most professional representation to the company. Following the sale of a very outstanding price, the gentleman who came out to template our Island Counter-top added to the trust I was building with East Coast Granite. They met their deadline of 5-7 days and did a superb job on installation. I would recommend their business easily! 5+ STARS!!!!
Update: On June 15, 2018 we contracted with East Coast Granite and Marble Evans GA to remove/install granite counters in our kitchen. On June 19 the templates were taken and counters removed. On June 26 the installation was scheduled. The work completed was not acceptable and the company was contacted. June 28 a repair install was attempted but was still not acceptable and we were made to feel like we should be grateful that they came back to try to correct the deficiencies by being told it looked better than it did. When we complained to the Manager/Owner his response was that what he saw in the pictures were not bad and when I said it looks like I did the work, he said he would hire me. Several texts and phone calls, facebook posts, BBB complaints and Attorney General complaints later, the repair was satisfactorily completed on July 26.This company needs to improve on their customer service and professionalism of their workmanship. It took several redos to accomplish what was a guaranteed 5-7 day installation. Our install began on June 26 and was not satisfactorily completed until July 26. In between the two time frames, appointments were made that were not kept, our second check was deposited before the job was completed without a statement of satisfaction signed, missed appointments were not acknowledged by the company or the installer, our counters were never hauled off and excuses were made for the unprofessionalism of the installers. The company offered no type of financial discount for breaching our contract of a guaranteed 5-7 day installation.I am satisfied with the end result now; however, I will not be a repeat customer nor will I refer any new customers to this business.
Excellent work, excellent price, great selection and knowledgeable. Only issue missed original date but adhered to our second promised date. We have unique shape and there were able to cut and we only have one seam! Would defiantly recommend!
I absolutely loved my granite kitchen and bathroom tops! The prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent. Installation was also a very great experience, I would most definitely recommend East coast granite and marble to anyone!
Great experience with Granite Depot, from start to finish. Very easy to work with, great selection of counter tops and knowledgeable staff. Installation performed by experienced personnel with high quality work ethics. Highly recommend them to anyone needing any granite or stone work.
I have worked with a few different granite companies. Granite Depot exceeds them all, absolutely the best prices, professional and courteous staff that are willing to work with you. The turn around time is amazing and the quality of the few jobs I have done with them exceeded my expectations by far.
Great company who I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone! The staff is very professional, knowledgeable, and dependable. When they say they will get a job done it always exceeds expectations. Steppan has been a pleasure to work with and you can tell he really knows his stuff! Keep up the exceptional work!!
My initial interaction with the company was positive, they came quickly to consult on my project, quickly gave me a date for installation- then its been downhill since then. The installation was delayed which screwed up my schedule( but the owner personally called to get it rescheduled- I was impressed with the personal touch- great!!) Nothing else good to say from that point on. The installation took all day( not what I was told). Some of the pieces were not measured correctly, they laid it on anyway and I had to say something before they acknowledge it and had to remeasure and get it cut at the shop. I had to point out things like the island piece not being straight only after I called it out, did they acknowledge and did something. I had to watch very carefully from that point on because at least one installer didnt seem to care that things were not even or looked right. Now I have been repeatedly calling to have them come back and fix some issues, but 4 days of calling, speaking to someone who promise that I would receive a call and no one has called me back yet. I would not recommend this company
The granite is beautiful but they left the old vanity and sinks in our garage to be there while we were trying to sell the house and are now living abroad. I sent them an email inquiring if I had missed this in the contract or they forgot to do what would have been standard practice at Home Depot and did not receive a reply.
Dont waste your time with this company! totally irresponsible and dishonest. They gave us a convenience discount which was a joke and after leaving a long and comprehensive review, all reviews were deleted from their Facebook page. And dont believe any of those reviews they have online - I trusted those and I believe now they are mostly fake.
Poor communication. Delay. False advertising. I was told my install would be on a certain day and no one showed up. It has been 3 weeks and they advertise 5 to 7 days after you commit. Not true. Not even close. Would not recommend. I have had to reschedule the tile guy, electrician, plumber, appliance delivery, listing the house for sale...... Very unprofessional. I still dont have an install date.
I had to create a new post with a new review because for some reason google will not allow me to update my previous review on this company. I would like to let the public know that this company finally pulled through and made the service right after we had such an unpleasant first go around. The owner did finally reach out and express his apologies for the lack of communication and unprofessionalism that occurred. They rendered the services by giving us a great deal on having our master bathroom installed and the experience shown through the bathroom install was 100% better than the first. Colby the owner stayed on top of his word and Julia was great at keeping me updated through the whole process. I can say that the bad taste I had for this company has changed and as long as they keep improving on communication and scheduling they are going to be a great company. I am glad we decided to give them another chance to make things right.
My husband and I were in search of just the right slap of granite for our kitchen countertop and after visiting Granite Depot on Washington Road we found it. There Breannah L., one of the sales representatives assisted us in a walk around the granite yard. After choosing the perfect slab of granite an appointment was made for the template. The whole staff was very helpful and patient with us in making our decisions. Our granite was installed in a careful and proper manner and to our satisfaction. We highly recommend Granite Depot for all your granite needs. Thanks so much for a job well done.
The Experience i had with East Coast Granite & Marble was wonderful, Great product and great customer service. Really helped make my Christmas 2018 such joy!! Thanks to this company & Breeanna!
I do not even know where to begin with this company. To be honest, I don’t know how they are still operating. Things were great right at the start, we had good customer service and the estimate went as planned. But after that point everything went downhill. It took 3 days longer for the guy to come out to do the template. During this process I was told that after the template was done, the rest is fairly quick. Well that was a lie. Communication started to become nonexistent and everything was not in the time frame they promised. After the template I was the one who had to continuously call and ask for updates (which were never accurate) we were told that our granite would be installed April 18th. Well we waited all day (my husband took off work) and they were a no show. I had to call and figure out what was going on. Made excuses that they fired some people and masters week had them behind but that they were bringing in another crew and would have me installed Saturday or no later then Monday. Well Saturday came along, again I had to ask for an update. Was told it wouldn’t be Saturday but for sure done on Monday. Well Monday rolls around and I verify that with out a doubt the granite would be installed and I was told yes WITHOUT A DOUBT it would be installed. I bet you all can guess what I’m about to say.... it WASN’T installed. At 3:55 that Monday I went up to the store and expressed how I felt. The only person who has given excellent customer service is Joseph, who I wasn’t even dealing with from the start, he just happened to be the only one in the shop working. He did go above and beyond by letting me vent and he called the install guy to ensure my granite would be in Tuesday April 23rd. Well, I’m writing this post and I still have NO granite in my house. Let’s keep in mind this company cashed my check $2600 on April 5th!!! I’m a paid customer and still can’t service. Such a shady way to run a business. I have a 2 year old son and we have not been able to move into our new home because of these people. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THIS COMPANY. Save your money and your time. I didn’t even want to rate them one star.UPDATE: The installer came out at 10:30pm yesterday and was unable to complete the job due to the granite being cut incorrectly. The installer was absolutely fantastic and if it wasn’t for him and Joseph we wouldn’t be trying to make this work. The owner of this company has still refused to call and apologize or even attempt to get a hold of us to discuss our experience....UPDATE: Granite is still not installed. We have yet to hear anything from the owner of this company. My rep (Julia) who originally got the sale has totally dropped the ball and will not call to update or get me in touch with management. The ONLY ones keeping us updated is the installer and Joseph. Still very disappointed in this company as a whole.
Price: best aroundInstall: flawlessCustomer service: impeccableOverall rating: hell of a jobI have worked with them on many installs including business and home and they’ve been great.
The merit of the one star is because of an opening good estimate, many options of granite, & great service by Albert & John to template / dispose old counter tops. The rest.... terrible! So...we are given a date for install just after Christmas. The first cancellation due to frozen water pipe. The second cancellation was due to truck breaking down. The 3rd cancellation was ( I think) it was due to traffic. In fact, we are still waiting as I type this after missing work to meet installers yet again. Keep in mind, no communication calls ahead of time except what we the customers initiated. Speaking of calls... we did get one I’m sorry. It was from our sales person stating we would only be communicating through her as we would not be talking to the manager. Well... we never talked to a manager (just her) and we are still baffled by what that was about. My opinion.. “Our salesperson has these preplanned or scripted statements that often do not apply or give any indication she is listening to the customer and the unique problems that surface”. “I have never seen lack of organization and confusion after a sale in my life”. They have offered to give a discount fee for inconvenience and while that is admirable, the failure to meet three installation dates, lack of effective communication, and being late... trumps the overall process as being bad in today’s standards of what is expected. Updates will follow to assist others if any similar issues arise and provides this company details of what not to do in the future. Too late to help me.*Update 1: Installers didn’t use braces to bring in counter tops and sat one piece (bat wing) on its edge while contemplating how to place it. Once installed, 3 cracks appeared around the sink opening. To make matters worse, our pantry door paint and cabinet paint/wood was chipped in two places during the installation. We then noticed the 60/40 sink we chose from the free offer was shaped differently than the 60/40 old sink we have. It is “larger in frame” making the counter top smaller & odd-looking. Our salesperson didn’t show us this sink and since she saw the old one, we thought it would be the same. We noticed the price of the backsplash was never reduced from original mark up -because no installation behind stove was needed. Mentioned to salesperson and she stated she believes it was reduced and will check on it.*Update 2: Repair person arrived and confirmed it needed replaced and although he wasn’t involved, apologized for the damage. That was fair and professional. Called our salesperson about the sink issue above and she stated we would now have to buy a sink if the free 60/40 isn’t of our liking. Tried to explain why it wasn’t to our liking but again.. nothing was registering to her. At this point, we will have to buy a 50/50 sink for it to not make the counter look odd as their version of 60/40 is too large in frame size. wow, just wanting to get through this to be honest and partly our fault for not asking to see their version of a 60/40 sink I suppose. Oh & in looking at the original and revised price mark ups submitted by email to us, salesperson was wrong -as they did not reduce the price from backsplash not being installed. At least we have kept every email correspondence.*Update 3: We did get a call from our salesperson advising of tear out & new installation date for Jan 30 or 31st. Thought it was odd she asked “what did repair person say?”, when she had the report in front of her. Anyway...A few days later, she called again (they are communicating now at least) and she had an UPDATE. Which was they were planning for “one day next week”. So, we advised her this update was more general than the two days she previously said. She didn’t respond. A customer with a big time problem goes from a service window of two days to sometime in a week. Now my wife and I have to hope our employers understand we have an appointment “sometime next week”. ?Update 4 FINAL - A new install group came (although we were told they just had 1 initially) and was awesome! Nightmare over!!
Wonderful place to explore different granite, I absolutely love my kitchen now :)
Its very difficult to figure out where to start with this company. If I had to describe my experience with them with one word it would be Horrendous.First, they ignore you and do not call back. The owner does not care at all. We were told multiple times that they would show up at certain times and they wouldnt show up at all that day. Not even a call. Wasted time and money when building a house. Very poor communication. They would promise something then break it.Next, they do not like or want to work. When they finally got to our home to do install and workers dog was throwing up and both workers had to leave. Ridiculous. What you going to do with the dog when you get there? Just put the dang dog outside ang get to freaking work.Next, a week after installation i found out that the countertops were just sitting on the cabinets. No glue or liquid nails or anything to hold them down. Are you kidding me? No seriously are you freaking kidding me you inept and lazy and poor excuse for a company. This is just a few reasons for my one star review and of my wasting time on a Sunday having to do this. Look this place is cheaper than most. So if you want to save money and put up with laziness, sorry management, and lack of communication with the customer (you know...the most important things for a business) then this is the countertop place for you.Good luck to all who want to use this company. But id rather play 5 finger fillet or russian roulette any day.In RESPONSE to you guys not knowing who I am is a bold face lie. This is undoubtedly a truthful review. I have no hard feelings anymore. However, the review is staying put.
WARNING!!!! DO NOT USE EAST COAST GRANITE!!! Used this company for the convienence, big mistake! They get a deposit and full payment before work is compete and they also tell you an install date which they don’t stand behind. I had 2 renovation jobs I paid for and they were Both delayed multiple times. I had to threaten the owner and demand a full refund. He literally picked up his cellphone while I was in his office having a confrontation with his employees and then tried to say “see what I deal with” like it was my problem. This was Friday and I made him guarantee me an install date of the following Monday (by him signing paperwork)...Also, the second job was a $3100 kitchen and it ended up that the original drawings showed a 15” overhang and I ended up with a 12” overhang. He said to me that if what I signed when the template guys visit showed 12” then he will not fix it. It was made very clear with my sales person and on first measurement that this was a counter heighth overhang and anyone dealing with granite should know the deminsions you’d think. It has been a cluster from day 1.Also, one end of the overhang is sanded and the other is a very sharp point squared off. Steer clear of this company. It’s a rip off, terrible customer service and Unknowledgeable people working there.
Just got our master bathroom granite installed ! Very satisfy!!! Speedy job!
Starting off I did not have the best experience with a company there was some miscommunication on the appointment time. So I ended up going to Lowes they (lowes) were charging a good bit more and getting a contract with them. I received a phone call a few days later from a guy Im assuming it is the owner of Granite Depot and he was sincerely apologetic for the miscommunication and guaranteed that the work will be perfect, if I could get out of the contract with lowes and go back with them so I decided to give them another chance and told lowes to not do it, and the countertops turned out amazing. You couldnt beat their price and how fast they got to work done. They really turned everything around and I would recommend them to everyone.
Appears to have gone out of business
11 days past due date and still not completed.I am not a happy camper.
Russian owned company. Lied about. Footage to the customers. Put more footage then needed and lied to the customers 95percent.of them.
