Im extremely disappointed with you guys simply choosing to close. There are real, live human beings that park at your truck stop and restaurant. Human beings that havent had a decent meal in days because of establishments like yours choosing to close. You CAN be open for takeout and delivery. Zero reason you couldnt deliver food to the drivers in the parking lot or make food available to drivers on a carry out basis. Put up signs. Put up a phone number. Take orders, make money and feed hungry truckers. Without us you guys wouldnt survive.
Yikes. This place is straight out of the twilight zone.. very weird ambiance (including the truck stop). Food was all out of bag fried foods. Patty melts were decent but other than that this place is a pass. Tough to get decent grub on the road especially with the chains, so I had some hope for a local diner.Oh well.
I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and meat balls added. Meat balls could have been cooked more,even browned or blackened a bit. It would have given them a different,better,added flavor.Side of Garlic Toast was browned to perfection. Side salad was good. A side of corn or mashed potatoes would have been good with it. But I did not order those. Food and service was good,okay. Nothing outstanding,just okay. Just communicate clearly in detail what you desire,so cookie can try to prepare it properly for you.
Worst.meal.ever. went for a 1:30 am breakfast since its the only place open at that time in town anymore. The server was abrasive, the food took an amazingly long time. So long in fact that the server threw the cook completely under the bus and said that he was very flakey and lacked any consistency as far as cooking the menu items and also had a very bad attitude to boot. After over 40 minutes our food arrived and was mostly inedible. The server apologized over and over again for the state of the meal but after we advised her that we werent going to wait to try any attempts at a remake, she told us there was nothing she could do about the bill without a manager. She said she understood our frustrations so she called a manager to advise of the situation. This is the point where I will mention I have worked MANY customer service jobs, and have never heard something as customer UNservice as the following; the manager says we need to go ahead and pay the 52.00 dollar bill in full, regardless of the fact that no one ate more than 3 or 4 bites of their meal, and come in the following day to dispute it with management. I wasnt given any time to come in, just 2 names of managers and to come in. Never in my life have I been forced to actually revisit an establishment in order to make right something from a previous visit....but Ill play by the rules. So we take a photo of the meal as we left it just to prove that we did not consume the inedible meal, fork over the 52 dollars and leave in absolute disgust.The next day comes and Im not able to get a call back from the assistant manager until almost 4 pm. When I do finally get her on the phone she is rude as can be and when I say that I was told I needed to go in that day to get my $$$ back from the night before, she tells me that shes going to be leaving for the day. I then ask her to stay long enough for me to drive the 5 minutes to her to settle the matter and she tells me that she doesnt have to do anything for me and questions the validity of my recollection of the meal. I advise her Ive never been treated so poorly in a customer service situation and ask for the GM info. Im told to come in the next day to speak with GM. I go in the next day (this is now Sunday, we went to eat Friday night) and am told the manager was not in but told again, the next day I could speak with him. Monday afternoon I call to verify Im not making another pointless trip to the restaurant I, at this point, never want to step foot in again, and am told he is in until 4. I show up at 1:00 pm and hes not there, hes running errands but after explaining the whole scenario to a waitress, hes called and asks her to ask me to wait for him. So I wait, for about 20-25 minutes. The manager arrives and hears me out. He listens to my rant about the meal, the customer service, the management response and I show him the photo I had taken. He apologizes for the experience, and advises me that it is in fact their policy to not discount a bill, no matter the scenario, without manager approval, and even backs his assistant managers crummy attitude and lack of action. He does however put the credit of 52.00 back on my card because I did have the receipt still (what if I had lost it in the several days it took to settle?) And washes his hands of the problem and of me. Nothing will change at the double Clutch, They clearly dont make the customer or the customer experience the priority, which is so odd when youre in the service industry. So Im grateful the manager did refund the 52.00 dollars, but I will never go back, and still took the time to write this review, and tell anyone and everyone who brings up the business about my experience, because thats why you go out of your way when you work in the service industry, to please your guests.
It had been a while since I stopped for an early breakfast. they had some of the same staff since the pandemic and theyre reopening however they are now closed permanently as of yesterday at 10:00 p.m. good luck you all and thank you for all your hard work and smiles. Listen Linda! LOL

Clean, good food, nice people. I read that in most of the reviews. It was my experience there. Why not 5 star. The food seems a little pricey for what it is. Other than that, a most excellent place.
The staff seemed almost angry you chose their establishment. The prices were outrageous 25.00 for a grilled cheese sandwich and some jalapeno poppers!? Evidentiary truck drivers are making substantially more than when I was driving.Highly unlikely Ill ever stop there again
Weve been going here for years. Menu has changed and rib.eye sandwich is gone. I had a french dip and the roast beef was thick and chewy. Please dont cut back on food quality. I know its not the cooks. Im a retired chef and I know food quality. We wont stop going back because we like the cooks that work the dinner shift.
Food was fantastic! Women and men who work there are friendly and service could not be better! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I love this place. The atmosphere makes me feel like I am at home and a part of the family.. The food is amazing and the servers really top off the whole experience every time!

This is a truck stop and not a nice one. After traveling through multiple states and visiting multiple other truck stops along the way, this one does not deliver. We stopped here twice only because we had to. The womens bathroom is missing doors and is grimy, and one of the stalls with a door has a wobbly toilet. We did not eat at the cafe on this trip, but according to my trucker brother it is not great either.
Ive grown up going to this place . was always a nice place to go after bars would close. Its nothing fancy and kinda run down, the gas station side has always been over priced. The cafe side though is a good price wise.. The food is nothing special. But it is good food and a good amount for the price. Its a friendly environment and the people that go there often are just good people and always willing to help someone in need. I recommend this place and its family friendly. Even dog friendly but dogs have to stay out on patio. Like to say thanks to the employees there who where so kind and went above and beyond and helped me out so much when I needed it. Thanks again :)
Everything was good food was hot an a good taste I had the hot roast beef and the potatoes were creamy

I really enjoyed the Double Clutch Cafe. It is located in a truck stop but has all the comforts of home. The staff is great, so friendly, very easy going and fun! It seems to have a lot of “regulars” that go there. To me that says a lot. The food was very good, portions were great and it is a very relaxing atmosphere, no one is ever pushing you to “be done”. You can sit and visit and enjoy your meal.
The food is pretty bland but still edible. The waitstaff is nice and the restaurant was clean.
My brother, a hard working, OTR Trucker, ESSENTIAL WORKER paid $11.50 for a single cheeseburger, NO fries or toppings! Thats Profiteering in my book! Immoral and Illegal! Shame on you!

They totally messed up my food order. Of course it was to go and I couldnt come back and get it fixed. None of the right topping, meat was overcooked. I wanted reg fries, they gave me seasoned fries. But the burger did taste good. Also, the bathrooms need attention.
Great staff and create value breakfast at the double clutch café. If you have a King Soopers receipt is there is a bow go with the purchase of two drinks on the back of that received and it is well worth full price as well. The staff is extremely friendly the breakfast portions are generous and are always delivered hot and the way you ordered it . I love going to this place with my aunt and my entire family. Kid friendly

I made the mistake of ordering an appetizer (fried mushrooms) with a double bacon cheeseburger. I almost didnt finish it. But both items were so good I couldnt help it. The burger was grilled perfectly and frankly probably the best burger Ive had since I grilled my own. The food, and service were great. The price wasnt cheap, but you get what you pay for in my book.Any time I have to pick up a load at the JBS here, I know where Im going for lunch or dinner.

I tried to treat myself with a steak at this place and should have known better. They talk a good game on the menu. It was almost inedible. The cut of the steak was just poor. The cook of the steak was all wrong and uneven. The sides, potatoes and veggies were instant and frozen instead of real and fresh. The price was way too high for what you get. The service was so so. The atmosphere was dead. Maybe breakfast or a burger would be better here but Im not sure if Im willing to go back and try again. A couple of hotdogs from the gas station its attached to next door might be a better choice.
Everything that Ive had off the menu has been good. Highly recommended place to visit and eat. Staff is helpful, polite, and kind.

For being a truck stop restaurant its not bad. Maria is an awesome waitress. If you are looking for inexpensive and chill dining i would recommend this place for sure. They have always taken care of us no matter what time we show up there.
Standard truck stop fare done exceptionally well. Meat loaf for me and chicken fried steak for my companion were both better than we had any right to expect. Truly generous portions ensure my return.

Good homemade cooking in a relaxed classic diner. Breakfast served all day. Good thing too because the green chili on the breakfast burritos is so good. I enjoy bringing the kids here. Open seating allows me to sit where I want to. Gotta love that. This is a truck stop and local favorite. I plan to return to try the burgers in the near future.

We had breakfast there for 5 mornings straight since our inn on the other side of the highway didnt have any. Its a typical independent truck stop so of course you should expect it to be lacking a bit in overall cleanliness. The breakfasts are really good and decently priced though. The staff was a bit grouchy but then again we were there always early in the mornings. Eggs, bacon, french toast, all were good. The pancakes were too salty though. Id recommend the Mother Trucker breakfast sandwich (yum!). Respect to the truckers that have to sleep with nearby freight trains blasting them with the horn a few times a night. If you bought it, a truck brought it. Thanks fellas!

The Double Clutch Cafe is a truck stop in every sense of the word.The atmosphere is that of a truck stop, nothing fancy just excellantfood at a fair price. Although it is geared toward the truckers, its also a great place to take the family for a great meal that wontbreak the bank.They also have a real good staff that work very hard at being sure you leave full and happy. I personally recommend the Double Clutch Cafe for breakfast,lunch, or dinner.Friendly, fast service, excellent food. Fair price, I mean what more could you ask for? C
Always a great place to eat. Everything I ordered here is always good. Plus you can sit and watch some of the best waitress I seen in a long time. For the price this is a must stop when I am in Greeley CO. Dont forget to say hi to Crystal one of the best waitress any where.

The double clutch Cafe does have great food if they can get your order correct or sometimes even have your order at all I have called when I got home from work taking a shower go there to pick my order up they dont even have its because they stand up and talk...you had my business three to four times a week gradually went down to now is 0 * thank you

Food is always top notch. Service is OK, about what youd expect from a truck stop diner. The home made green chili is seriously delicious. As is the fried steak and gravy. Price is definitely cheap for the quality of food you get.
Great food. Reasonably priced, they do take coupons for discounted plates, with a receipt from king soopers, the staff is friendly and very attentive. Stop in and enjoy some great comfort meals.
Great little truck stop food was very good staff was very polite only thing that would make it better is if they had a place to wash your clothes. Other than that no complants will be back. Such a break from the big 5 trucks stops

Good country style restaurant with all the standards, plus some Colorado style southwestern. Their green chili is good. Very good service and the wait staff were very nice. The truck stop has fuel and cat scale and less than a hundred parking spaces.

Friendly staff but the food well par below. The waitress was very helpful but got my order wrong. I had the 8oz steak breakfast with pancakes and grits and said I did not want the patatoes. Well got the potatoes and grits, the pancakes were gritty and I could not eat. The steak was suppose to be med well instead I got was way over cooked and dry as leather and barely able to chew.I do not recommend this place for breakfast.In addition they need to cut the AC on I hate trying to eat and sweat and kill flies at the same time.
0 stars not worth the time and effort. I have ate here several times over the last 2 years the service and food is always a crapshoot. It has gone way down hill since it opened 20 years ago. The wait staff is atrocious. The food gets worse and the management does not care. Best thing to do is avoid this place.

Use to like this place. Last time I was their I asked for homemade chips and got a bag of Lays instead. I even asked if they still did them and got told they did. Dont like being lied to.
Sorry, did not eat here this visit, but did in the past. They did have good food available from their menus. I was using the truck stop side for the scale and snacks. Nice employees and clean restrooms.

It was a very dirty place, even had to send a cup back because it had lipstick on it. Waitress didnt even apologize or seem to care. Salsa was bland. Kinda expensive for the amount of food you get.

It was a little warm inside like the a/c wasnt on the cook messed up my order but my waitress had no problem getting it made right,the food was good.

The Double Clutch has amazing management, therefore the only negative remark would be an increase of customers in order to upgrade or a donation. One family business that Evans, Colorado needs to improve as a partner business to The Double Clutch cafe happens to be a truck stop. Prosperity in maintaining these businesses the community would greatly appreciate.
Great Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries. Service was good until they charged me for a drink I didnt order and charged my card twice for my meal. They voided it but wouldnt surprise me if the drink charge was done on purpose.

Its a truck stop.. I dont hate.. its just a truck stop that should have a cleaning company spray everything everyday. Theres a arcade that needs better games and to be disinfected badly. Id say this truck stop needs full time sanitisation crew. Free big cup of ice water though. Your in the area the water cups are enormous so consider this. The food at the truck stop is sometimes very cheap and worth it. There use to be a chicken fried steak breakfast for 3.99 and biscuits and gravy for 1.99$. the food is okay for being a truck stop. It take a colleague.😎

We went on August 10th 2017 we go quite often. This was the worst night ever. Manager in the back cooking only two waitress on the floor who couldnt keep up and its been busier here and I have had better service and food. Manager should of called in more help. This should fall on Management

Nor even close to homemade!! My husband ask for the gravy on the side and it came smothered in gravy and all the waitress could say was sorry I didnt hear you say gravy on the side. Not here let me fix that for you basicaly shut up and eat it. Nor sure we will be coming back.
