Masks/no masks… whatever. I’ll wear mine and continue enjoying the delicious meats, wines, seafood this wonderful store offers. They offer an excellent variety of hard to find and unique grocery items. I find their operating hours helpful as well. 👍🏻👍🏻

When I spend over a hundred at a store to have a check out girl stay silent when I give greetings and a thank you, just makes me re think returning. When a customer speaks to you, at least return a pleasantry for christ sake. I get places are struggling with help but at least speak when spoken to.

This place has the best salads and meats. We always stop when in the area for their marinated meat selection and some designer olive oils. The bakery is legit too. Must stop.

Locally owned and operated On The Vine offers some of the best fresh produce, meats, and local ingredients around! They have it all here. You can spend an hour easily looking at their selections that you can’t get anywhere else. They also have an AMAZING bakery with anything a person could want.

My husband and I took a work break at a nearby hotel and needed a grocery store. This place was amazing! Great food, perfect supplies and fun treats. The little key lime pies in the bakery case, wow!!! Love the local eats as well.

In addition to the local products, meats, sides, beers, wines cheeses, and produce, they have the BEST BAKERY in the seacoast.Masks - Everyone always wears masks in this store except one employee. If you ask him why he doesnt, he would tell you about his medical conditional that legally exempts him. Hes actually got quite an awful medical condition. The management cannot force him to wear a mask and is not willing to fire him because some Karens are trying play Enforcer and are out to cancel this locally owned business that employs a couple of dozen people. - Shop local, expect quality, go to On the Vine!

They sold me rotten chocolate covered straw berrys and the employees are the rudest people. Its close to my house so if Im in a rush I would go here and every single time its been either rotten old or expired food or they dont have what Im looking for like baking soda or tomato soup. I will never go into this establishment again and Id suggest driving 2min down the road to a real grocery store where your business will be appreciated and the food wont be rotten.

I have loved On the Vine for years but I cannot support them any longer. The staff behind the counter largely persists in not wearing masks, even if they are directly serving customers. Manager says workers should have ¨ïndividual freedom. I wear a mask all day every day at my job except during my lunch break because that is my civic duty. I just cannot tolerate this attitude. Too bad.

Had been looking for DownEast Cider Donut, was not able to find it ANYWHERE, and when I say anywhere... I mean it. I went to 15 stores yesterday... I called in and got the luxury of speaking with Eddie, who not only got me the cider earlier than expected but even got me an extra one. Place is beautiful, service is amazing, glad to be a neighbor! For some reason the staff will not wear masks during the pandemic. Not in the deli where they are making sandwiches and now not in the bakery. Maybe that is why the place is rarely busy lunchtime anymore. They wont get my business anymore nor my friends who are also grossed out and disturbed by the noncompliance.

Just moved to the area and love this place. Won’t shop anywhere else. Large selection of craft beers, awesome bakery, fresh seafood and amazing meat. The habanero chili pepper marinated tips are unlike any tips I’ve ever had in my life. I’d eat them breakfast, lunch and dinner every day if my stomach and colon could handle it.

Very frustrating to count 7 employees either improperly wearing masks or not wearing them at all, Particularly staff making prepared foods. Masks are an easy rule to follow and make everyone safer. Why wouldnt you do it?

My first time in here and well received. Guys running the butcher counter were helpful and pleasant. I also noticed theyve got steak tips for days so Ill be back for some of those. It is a bit spendy, but you know that going in. They have all kinds of delicious things like coffee milk, all the Fever Tree you could want, and Delice de Bourgogne. I picked up a really fresh baguette and coffee beans and noticed the refill olive oil and balsamic. Not a place for my regular shopping, but definitely a weekend stop for splurge items to enjoy decadent snacking or for top quality dinner ingredients.

Love the food, just would like to see a bit more competitive prices. Overall though, no complaints. Especially fond of the house marinade steak, chicken, and buffalo tips.

This is a fabulous little market for beautiful, fresh produce, a delicious and expansive selection of fresh baked goods, salad bar, prepared meals, huge seafood counter and equally as huge butcher counter, as well as many other grocery staples. Some standouts I have tried and that are an absolute win: fresh cooked lobster meat, maple bourbon steak tips, fresh wild caught haddock, extra large baked cookies (any flavor as they are all insanely good). I always look forward to shopping here!

I, personally, find this small grocery and dry goods store to be overpriced and then lacking in performance. The produce is generally fresh looking but the bakery goods are often stale. The fresh-baked breads are good for about a day. Ive been generally happy with most seafood purchases and the meat is generally decent although I suggest avoiding the pre-cut, pre-marinated varieties. Then they also offer a small selection of the basic dry goods such as flour, rice, pasta, sauces, canned vegetables etc. There is a dairy and frozen section. Both are small, offering the staples that one may need to pick up quickly and close to home. It should be mentioned that there is also a small selection of household knickknacks, candles, table coasters, spoon holders and such. They do still have a small alcove with some natural remedy type products like lotions, essential oils, vitamins, tinctures and the like. Worth checking out, and always good in a pinch.

Good selection of upscale products including wine, beer meat and seafood as well as delicious baked goods. Prices are as expected however. Wouldnt do my weekly grocery shopping here but often come in for a few select items. Good lunch salad bar too.

Not a single employee handling food was wearing a mask. No one behind the meat counter, fish counter or deli counter were wearing masks. I watched them handle food and package it with no mask. I thought it was a fluke but I’ve seen this every time I go in. Very disappointed and not shopping there anymore.

All things high quality in the food department. Best selection for hand picking your veggies. Meats excellent. Small patisserie for deserts. Even cheeses and fish are covered! Pricey but worth it for special nights.

Great selection of fresh vegetables, meats and fish. Great selection of local beer and wine as well. Usually a little pricier than the bigger grocery stores but the organic selection is much nicer. Dont forget about the desserts! Cakes, pies... yum!

Even though the prices are a little high, the food you can order to go is good! Produce section is small compared to grocery stores, but, the produce looks good. I always feel tempted to buy a pastry item!!!!! Freezer section stocked with items that lean towards healthy options. Basic grocery items available, such as milk, juice, coffee, ect. Vitamins available. Area for eating inside available. Friendly staff. I miss the Planet Fitness discount.

Everything looks so good in this place. Just wish I could afford to shop there all the time. If you want to make a special meal, with great ingredients, shop here.

On the vine marketplace great place to get steak tips they marinate him and they sucked him if you want them to best thing to do is get like four lb of steak tips marinated that they have there and bring them home in the marinade sauce that they have them in and let him sit for like another day and then turn on your grill to very very low heat in sauteing nice and easy over that you know come out perfect

This market is the best, everything is fresh ! The in-store bakery is outstanding. The meats are great and the deli is great. I love the fish, although pricey it is the best quality. And the selections of wines and beers are terrific.

I bought fresh ? Flounder yesterday, with an expiration date of 1/3/18. Took it out of packaging this morning and it smelled rancid. Thought if I cooked it, it might change? Worse. I wouldn’t consider giving it to my dogs. Now my task is to get the smell out of the house. My last time at The Vine!

The hot wraps are amazing!! The only bad thing is the staff at that section is NOT friendly at all! I have gone in 3 times this week and each day had a different person help us and all 3 of them seemed to be so inconvenienced and bothered to have to help us. Other than that it is awesome!

These guys make the best lobster rolls, reasonably priced and such fresh lobster. I make a stop there each time I return to Vermont from the coast.

I highly recommend Philbricks or Mckinnins in Portsmouth on layfayette rd. . Both of those shops have first class employees and the freshest products at a fair price. . Give them a try and stay away from on the vine., you will be glad that you did.
