Emergency overhead garage door issue. Made a service call with great time, price and service. Would use again.

I contacted Klondike Door Service because Overhead door was not helpful at all. Klondike was helpful and supportive to all my questions, gave me multiple options even when it wasn’t their product I was using. Any future business I have with garage doors Klondike is my first call.

The worst customer service Ive ever had. My garage door stopped functioning so had to I call them. Ive personally tried to do this work myself, however, I couldnt get any part shipped to us, hence I needed someone to do this work. I measured this torsion spring myself and ordered 37 inch spring for them to put on.After the work was done, I was billed.When I saw my bill some things didnt look right. First, the labor hours. I checked the time when the specialist arrived to my house and checked the time when he was finished with the labor. It was exactly 1 hour. They had charged me 1.25 hours. This may not seem a lot but if you do the math, at 130/hr .25 that is about extra 33 dollars. Second, I specifically ordered 37in torsion spring but they had put 38in part. With one more inch they had charged another extra 12 dollars. That was extra 50 dollars they had charged us.My wife went settle this matter herself and she was astonished by how they had reacted. When she brought this up, one of the guy told her in a very annoyed tone, you came all the way here just because of 11 dollars?! I wife was extremely shocked how he handled this. If there was an inaccuracy, whether it was only 11 dollars, he should have at least explained why something was done some specific way. He managed this whole situation very poorly. Also, at the beginning they told us the warranty was 3 years but when my wife brought this up, he again told her, ITS ONLY 6 MONTHS. WE NEVER DO 3 YEAR WARRANTIES. My wife came home very upset.I only advise you to choose this place only if you want to get ripped off with poor customer service.

Klondike came to my house to repair a door spring. They were able to fit me in and did an outstanding job at a much lower rate than the competition quoted me. I will use these guys again.

If you run a business and put under-trained people on the phones they dont get you the information that you will later need to handle a job. When this happens, the correct answer is not to argue with the customer and tell them that it is their fault that they left off work to be home so your tech could come and do the work. Which they didnt ever show up to do. It is also not reasonable to then tell the customer it is their fault for telling the under trained person what you thought you needed and not giving them all the specialist knowledge details that you called a specialist for. And really, dont then tell the customer it is their fault when the information that they provided to you, the specialist, is the same they gave to the person you put on the phones who only gave you have the info you needed out of it cause you failed to train them.Your right sir, I wont sit on the phone and argue with you. I will take my business somewhere else and warn everyone I can to not use Klondike Door Service.

We are very pleased with the work done. Nick was very professional, fast, and knowledgeable. He was very courteous and friendly.

Called on Monday October 1st at 14:00 when the torsion spring snapped on our garage door. Was told a technician might come out that same day, but would likely come on Friday. Called back at 1630 and was told a technician would come on Friday.On Friday the 5th no one called, so I again called at 14:00 and the receptionist told me that the service man had called in sick and that they would fix the garage door on Thursday October 11th. On the 11th no one from Klondike bothered to call us or notify us.On Friday 12th October we called another company, Overhead Door Company of Fairbanks, and they scheduled an actual appointment for Tuesday, October 16th in the afternoon. This company arrived and completed the work professionally.On Friday October 19th Klondike called saying they could come take a look at our garage door. We let them know that another company had already evaluated and completed the work.We will not be giving Klondike our business because of a lack of reasonable communication, and an inability to perform basic garage repairs in a timely manner.

They were a wonderful company to work with. They got the work done in a timely manner. I highly recommend them to any one with a door problem.

The night before I called I had heard a loud boom in the garage. I looked around and was unable to fine the source of the sound.Fast forward to the next morning about 8:30am, garage door wont open more than about a foot off the floor. Ahh right, broke a spring!Called at 9:00am and was told that they where booked today, but had a few guys working in our area. I gave him my name and number and was supprised when I revived a call at about 2:00pm from Nick.He was here and gone in a flash! Very polite and great workmanship.Thanks KlondikeChris Chapman

Worst experience I have ever had with any company. Had company come out to my house and measure for a new garage door, also had the person check existing door opener for operation and if it would work they said it would work. Ordered door and after a month company called and said that door came in damaged and they would have to order another. After another month finally got garage door installed and was told that the door opener that they had said would work will not work and it is broken and needs parts they cannot get. I highly recommend to choose another company for your garage door service or replacement needs.
