Great pizza flavors, not great crust - mushroom pizza flavor combo in particular is amazing. All food has been pretty tasty, actually. Two cons - if there is a line it seems to crawl no matter the time of day (which surprises me given how organized and grab-and-go things appear) and there aren’t any outlets, which is a bummer if you are trying to do some work.
Wonderful white chocolate vanilla bean scone! The frosting was so creamy, and perfect compliment to the scone!
Very friendly staff and good coffee. They also have a stone pizza oven, but we didnt try the pizza. Lots of other food and baked items as well. Plenty of healthy options. My dirty Chai was a little on the sweet side for me. One thing that was kind of weird is that the owner blocks all of the outlets so you cant plug in. When we were looking around, someone said he doesnt want people to stay long. They roast their own fresh coffee and sell it by the pound for a reasonable price.
Reindeer pockets were DELICIOUS! Carmel roll was moist and yummy! My latte could have been sweeter but definitely a must try spot!
The coffee was great and they have a wide selection of food. When we first got there our interactions with the first barista was friendly and welcoming. I had never been here before, so I asked for a water and she asked if I wanted ice, I said yes. Half way through my delicious cookie, I realized later I never got my ice water so asked my husband to go ask for one. The second lady pointed to a self serve station and asked my husband is that water not good enough for you? Do you want ice? Are you wanting me to bring it to you? Honestly the snarky attitude was super demeaning and down right rude. It is not hard to say there is a self service station right over there. Let me know if you want ice. Food was good, coffee was good, but there are lots of other options in Fairbanks with way less attitude.
Really good food, nice staff, and decent atmosphere but theyre pretty stingy on the cafe side of things. They recently removed all the plugs so if you go there to study or get some work done, youre at a loss for keeping your device charged. Mega bummer because I used to love this place to get away from home to focus on work. Hopefully they bring the plugs back! .. Not to mention you have to ask for a wifi code that only works for a set amount of time.
The girl working the register couldnt answer a single question about anything on the menu. There were no prices listed anywhere but the cashier still couldnt tell me the price of anything or where to find them when I asked.I did get a coconut matcha latte that was delicious though. Customer service was terrible
I got a cappuccino with oatmeal and I loved it. I wish I had been hungry so I could try their very creative Artisan pizzas.
Nice place, but the lines are too long. I’ve seen people walk away after waiting ten minutes. I know how they feel.
No prices on anything and staff was very rude when we asked about prices and what comes on the pizza. So we went with the reindeer pocket, which was salty and under done. Just stick with the coffee.
What a great coffee shop. Coffee is rich and aromatic. Good on the go bites my favorite is the reindeer breakfast pocket.
A delectable assortment of sweet and savoury treats as well as drinks. Fast, efficient, and a great atmosphere.
Amazing coffee, a great reindeer pocket, and a key lime pie that tastes like key lime pie. Ill be back, next time in Fairbanks!
4th Sunday in a row that Ive stopped in at 8:30 to find the drive through still not open.Youve lost a customer!
Excellent biscuits and gravy... Coffee and scone amazing
Better than average coffee shop which also has a nifty selection of personal-sized pizzas! Coffee not bad either - roasted on site it looks like. Cookies, too, but not chocolate chip. No chocolate in a coffee shop? Faux pas! Recommended.
Good coffee. Good price. Tasty eats. Clean large restrooms.
Not my style of coffee place, but Ive had worse
Such a calm atmosphere. Staff was incredibly kind. Coffee was great!
When the husband and I visit a new city, we tend to try different coffee places until we find one he likes. I dont drink coffee, so I occasionally tag along to get some breakfast baked good or something. We ended up here five times during our five day trip, and didnt even find it until day three. Apparently the coffee is good.I got a muffin - blueberry chocolate chip, I think. Honestly, it was nearly inedible, but delicious? The problem was that it was just too sweet, but it was perfectly cooked. I think maybe that combination is just a bit much. The next thing I got - a reindeer pocket - was great. It was something somewhat unique, and Id definitely stop here for food again.
The bacon croissant is really good.
Always good coffee an home made pizza and pastries
Those baked goods, that fresh roasted coffee... You need this in your life.
So I live in a different state, but my best friend lives in Fairbanks. Shes been going through a rough time and blueberry scones are her go-to when shes upset. I called the cafe to ask if I could order some scones for her and the ladies there were so incredibly accommodating and friendly! Im so grateful for their help and I could not recommend this cafe more.
Would rate no stars if I could. Ive waited a half hour there multiple time, only four places in line. Overpriced, and theres no plugs so good luck if you wanna use the place to study. Just go to starvucks
Great burger and excellent fries!
I love all of their wood fired pizza and the premade side dishes
This is one of the best brick & mortar coffee shops in Fairbanks. I particularly love the artisan foods they sell.
Do yourself a favor and get some coffee from the best coffee shop in Fairbanks. They have amazing reindeer sausage pockets.
Amazing coffee and sweets.
Great pastries, coffee and prices!
Its a really nice place to get a coffee, but you better make sure that all of your devices are charged due to the fact that they dont have any plugins. Which makes remote working difficult. But with the pandemic I guess I understand, I was here about 2 months ago and there were plugins, now theyre all covered.
Best London fog in town!
I love the smell and fresh baked goods and freshly roasted coffee - my favorite thing to get here is their quiche and creme brûlée. Great spot to work, study, or meet a friend.
Great coffe, great food and atmosphere.
Great products and great customer service
Always love going there.
If you want to not get COVID-19 stay away... staff were not wearing mask and came within 3 feet of me. They were not enforcing social distancing and an unmasked guy bump into me as he walked past in the room for one line. It is up to the Customer to wipe down the table so sit at your own risk. The limited outside setting is vary close together.
Really good coffee. Id lived in Fairbanks for a few years and somehow I never ended up going here. Their in house made food looked really great, next time I visit Ill have to try their sandwiches. This is somewhere is definitely visit again and recommend to others. Its really a place the whole family can enjoy!
Good food and awesome coffee
The coffee is very very very delicious., staff is wonderful, dog loves his treats. Thank you .
The food is good with friendly service. The location is convenient and one can see their choices and menu while in line. They have the best and widest selection of both sweet and non-sweet food for a coffee shop in town. ACRC has a drive-trough window. three check-out stations, two bathrooms and lots of seating with out-door seating as well. Best coffee house in town.
Got a decaf pumpkin spiced latte for my gf, very good quality and price! Currently only drive thru.
Their biscuits and gravy on the weekend is AMAZING!! Has a little bit of a bite (probably red pepper in the gravy) but not much, like just enough. My only complaint would be not enough biscuits for the amount of gravy lol coffee is very tasty and staff is friendly. Little pricey, but for the level of quality? This isn’t out of a box people they do their baking and food on site with fresh local ingredients. Money back into the economy is how I look at it.
Awesome breakfast burrito.
Love love love the coffee there. Had the mocha breve as recommended by the lady. Quaint little cafe - was very intrigued by the fireplace stove (seems like its for the flatbread) but we didn’t get to try it. Will go back again for the coffee.
Probably the busiest coffee shop in Fairbanks but it’s worth the wait. The coffee is rich and fresh, so many varieties to choose from. The staff brighten your day with their warm smiles. The pizza and bites are cooked daily and also so worth a try!
Had an amazing roll and a decent mocha, that roll though! It was covered in a brown sugar and cinnamon glaze that was like a heavenly syrup with crushed walnuts. It was delicious and huge - highly recommended. The other food smelled great and everyone seemed to enjoy what they had. This is setup like a coffee shop but actually has a full dining menu.
Great little coffee shop with a good assortment of baked items and sandwiches.
A taste of home. Always have to come here when I come back to Fairbanks. The coffee and the reindeer pockets are still delicious!
The coffee was absolutely delicious! I had a almond milk latte and the foam was perfect! Definitely recommend this place 👌
Coffee was great. The coffee bean is award winning roasted. I would suggest to get a bag of coffee bean after you enjoy the coffee. Although price is a bit higher, its totally worthy. Ive got a bag of it, and I cant get enough. BTW, you will get two hours wifi access if you are customer. You know, signal in Fairbanks....
Super pretty on the inside. Love the art and masks and light fixtures! Love the actual brick oven and all the coffee beans(no instant here). Must try
Excellent quality food and drink. I always look forward to eating here when I am in the area.
I love the feel of this place. Their coffee is well made and their food is absolutely delicious. Prepare yourself for a slight wait in line during peak hours--its that popular. Good seating with all the technological perks.
Alaska Coffee Roasting Company is a great place to go to visit with a friend and enjoy some amazing local coffee. Glance across their dining room and you will see a diverse crowd of people, ranging from the hip college crowd to the contemporary elderly. Everyone is enjoying every aspect of their visit. Definitely a place I recommend for dates, casual meetings, or just wanting a good cup of coffee or tea, and possibly a desert.
Pretty unimpressive coffee shop overall. Their pizza sits out all day and the baked cookies are pretty dry from sitting in the case for so long. Their checkout equipment was broken during 2 of my visits and the cashiers used excuses about how they were new... weren’t able to issue rewards coupons. Mediocre lattes the last few times I’ve visited. Don’t recommend unless little owl, venue and starbucks aren’t open.
I have been going here off and on for over 15 years, and have seen many changes over the years. Recently there has been a change in staff and the downward trend that was happening has been turned around and I have seen improvements in the quality and cleanliness of the shop. Keep it up.
I love coming here after distance runs. I get an Oregon Chai and its the perfect pick me up. The folks there have never been anything but friendly and have made recommendations for me before that never disappoint. I also really enjoy the ambiance there as well. It reminds me of the coffee shops back in Charlottesville. Very upbeat, yet refined. Very, Im gonna date myself here, hip but classic at the same time. Kinda has the feel of an amalgamation of an Italian espresso bar mixed with college area coffee scene. The service, as stated, is friendly and quick. No issues coming there from Wainwright after PT and getting back to get changed before 1st work call. Great little spot.
Literally the worst coffee weve ever had. My husband got a latte in a bowl and it was extremely watered down and tasted horrible. We asked to get two more shots of espresso and it still tasted disgusting. I ordered a caramel frappe and they forgot about it. I had to go back to the register and ask where it was. It tasted terrible and didnt have any caramel in it. We will not be returning there. If you like watery dark roast coffee, then this is the place for you.
A shame the macchiato didn’t look anything like the pictures in your review section. Obviously someone knows how to make a proper drink, but not working today. I will come back in hopes of finding the right barista.
Absolutely loved coming here. My first visit I just grabbed a piece of cake and some pre made pasta salad. It was so nice to have the grab and go option - or options I should say. They have so many things to chose from. There is definitely something for everyone here.I brought my husband on my second trip here. We got the latte of the week called the Snowman - it was SO GOOD. Vanilla, hazelnut, and Irish cream flavored... but we swear it tasted like burnt marshmallow - in a good way. Absolutely loved it. We each got a breakfast pocket too - it was hot and filling and of course delicious.Weekend calories dont count so of course we had to grab dessert too. We couldnt agree on what to get so he got a peanutbutter pie slice and I grabbed a pistachio Eclair. Best decision of the week. Both were huge, not too sweet, but so so so good.Needless to say we will be back again and again. I cant wait to try their pizza and other goodies. Do yourself a favor and try it out. You wont regret it.
No plugs for devices, limited time on the internet even when there are few customers. Parts of the Menu up on the chalkboard are too small and far away to read. Coffee and pastry were good.
While the shop and goods are nice, the staff don’t wear masks and the slack attitude towards safety and health during COVID are disappointing.
My coffee and quiche were good, but service was very slow. I stood at the counter for a while before my order was taken, and my friend after me had to wait almost ten minutes after I ordered before she got to order. The staff seemed very very busy, which was a little weird because the store was not particularly busy.
I love the atmosphere here and the people are so friendly! There was a bit of a wait in line, but you almost need it to figure out what you want from their expansive menu. The orders are ready quickly and most of their menu is reasonably priced.
Has great coffee and a friendly place
Baked goods and coffee were awesome. Friendly staff.
Amazing service, as always! My favorite place for coffee in fairbanks.
Outrageous prices, food choices were inadequate for the time of day. We went there thinking we could get dinner, but the only choices were some kind of cold salad and pizza that was reheated in the oven. The location of this cafe is tucked away in a plaza which is not convenient for a quick stop. There should be some booths and larger tables.
Great place to lounge about. Only negative is they dont have outlet for charging electrics, so if youre looking for a place for long study sessions or if youre always in need of a charge you may want to look elsewhere. Otherwise, they have an awesome selection of coffee, tea, pizza and pastries to choose from.
Good service and enjoyed the soup of the day and lemon cookies.
There is a blonde woman with (slightly) obscured features, you could call her homely. I believe someone called her Hannah. Anyway she was quite abrasive to me and my family. It was odd because she had been nice to the people in front of me, but was very short and almost aggressive to my 80 year old Alaskan native grandmother. My wife, grandmother and I left offended. We have native friends who have had similar experiences with this same lady. I thought this was an open family friendly place, but obviously it is not. I have not been there since.
Food price has gone up over the years drastically, and it always feels a little crowded and noisy in the seating area, but they have excellent coffee! The food selection is diverse and their flatbreads and baked goods are amazing! My personal favourites are the breakfast pockets and their smoothies.... people who are regulars there are friendly and the staff is always helpful.
Good coffee but the lay out makes me feel corralled like livestock: it is set up as though saying, just drop of your money here and go. I have also heard some strange stories about the place. So needless to say it is OK in a pinch but there are honestly more welcoming places in Fairbanks.
Love the open flame oven pizza... the coffee is sub par.. get the cold brew
I was very impressed with the overall place, and Ive been to a lot of coffee shops! The whole atmosphere was nice and the coffee was great! The people that worked there were friendly. I will definitely be back again!
An awesome place for coffee, pizza, and pastries
I enjoy AkRoasters. They have a nice code and tea menu. Great sandwiches pizzas and desserts. They are open til 10 PM which is later than most other coffee places They offer free wifi and is a comfortable place to meet a friend. There is almost always a line.
Loved the pizza and its such a nice, convenient spot! Cant wait to go back to try more goodies!
Was behind a large group later in the evening and a 10+ minute wait but the closing baristas were attentive + smiling and made some excellent coffee!!
This Cafe has a wide variety of drinks and snacks. They serve many pastries and treats but also serve brick oven made pizza! Stop in for a Tanned Carmel Mocha and a Champagne Pizza! You will never regret coming here to study or have a nice chat.
My husband always comes here for his coffee beans.I decided to try my all time favorite white chocolate mocha...not impressed...glad I only had a 12 oz.We did have a very pleasant young lady serve us...and we were very challenging as Bob was purchasing for is trip to MN.
Yummy food
Power outlets are blocked.Food is not good and coffee vs quality is over roasted. They were nice enough, but it looks like they go through the effort to look like a regular café, but want you to not stay there. The coffee was at least priced for its taste. They have that on Starbucks, but otherwise youre better off waiting to get to a different shop down the road. They blocked off all plug outlets and their food was cold and isnt worth any of cost. They seem to be built to serve rich people who dont know any better about quality or having to work for a living.
I was a little dissapponted with this establishment. We went here on the recommendations of a local brewery that were raving about their coffee beans which they use in their infusions. When we arrived there was one person working the counter. We stood in line and soon after the second employee stepped up to the counter and asked for the next person in line. Unfortunately due to how they have their lines set up the person behind us got served instead. When we did did finally get to the register the employee was very unenthusiastic and slow taking our order of three drinks. The drinks again took quite a while and when we received them, one was completely wrong (I ordered a decaf peppermint frappe and it was normal and unflavored) and the cider was completely overpowered with cinnamon. The only redeeming drink was their house drink, the envelope, which was pretty good.Overall, poor and slow service with decent coffee, as long as they can get your order correct.
