Love these guys, got my Benelli M1014 shipped to them and they even had no complaints with me assembling it on the counter, picked up a PDP yesterday and as always had a terrific experience. These guys have no issues with you checking out anything in the shop, trying out optics and answering questions or even just chatting. Anyone giving this place a 1 star review is a smooth brain and is probably problematic..

Dont waste your time. Overpriced junk. Ripping people off. If you want to support people who appreciates your business and is reasonable and negotiable, drive a block away. I promise its worth it.

Alaska Ammo has knowledgeable and friendly staff and a variety of guns, ammunition, and other equipment. The first time I went there, I was shopping for a new magazine for my AR because I was having trouble with it. One of the employees explained to me which magazines were best and how to troubleshoot issues with my AR. Since then I have preferred shopping there to Sportsmans Warehouse or other sporting goods stores. They have also ordered and received guns for me, and if you spend $150 in the store when you pick up a gun you ordered, they will waive the $25 FFL transfer fee. I highly recommend Alaska Ammo for any and all firearm-related needs.

They are excited about politics and let it influence their prices. I find their prices are a lot higher than other ammo in town, and if you are willing to get to Wasilla you can save $40/box on the bigger calibers.

The fellas there are friendly and knowledgeable. Wether you purchase or build a firearm they usually have what you need. Prices are reasonable.

After my buddy told me they had everything I needed for a AR10 build I grabbed everything needed and went there with my buddy. The staff there was awesome very friendly and they actually had 308 ammo I needed for my new rifle.

I bought my first firearm at Alaska Ammo (a Glock 26) and the staff was very courteous and professional. The process was quick and I would recommend them to any woman who is looking to buy a firearm.

Clearance cart has some goodies from time to time, ammo selection is extensive, staff was knowledgeable and helpful selecting a rifle for my mother, and the used gun prices were great 👍

Not the greatest gun store. Prices are a little high, employees come off as very arrogant and disrespectful. Would not recommend trying to sell them a firearm, they low ball bad.

They had the ammo i was looking for at an ok price but one of the employees was playing with a gun behind the counter and being very childish. The girl at the counter was very nice and asked if I needed anything else. Overall the shop seems ok nothing special.

Very recently I had a very poor experience with an employee here. To the point that I would not continue to do business here. I wrote an email to the owner and explained what had happened. Within an hour of him receiving that email he had called me to apologize for what had happened and told me what steps he had taken to correct the issue. I am very impressed with how quickly and professionally he handled my problem . He has definitely earned my business and I will recommend Alaska Ammo to everyone that I know!

I like the selection of new and used guns that they have in their inventory. I bought everything from a moose gun to a EDC pocket pistol there. I also like the computer system for the purchase form, its quick and easy, usually 15 minutes from selection to walking out the door with your new firearm.

Great selection with great service. Can answer just about any gun and hunting questions. Many more guns and ammo selections available since they first opened up. I get all my ammo there.Parking can be difficult since a Starbucks is nearby.

Love the attitude the guys who work there have. Great place to buy guns and ammo in the Fairbanks area. You can always tell they appreciate the business we give them.

The prices that are high match the ammo they sell. You can find some bargain brand but most is high end. They have even the most obscure ammo in stock. Nice selection of parts and accessories. Staff is Frendly and just as willing to sell you the stuff you need as sit and shoot the breeze with you.

Excellent customer service! When I come into the store I’m greeted everytime and the staff always on top of finding the ammo I’m looking for! Excellent prices on used guns and the Bargain cart has great prices on discounted Ammo! When you have questions about guns the staff is honest and won’t lie to you if they don’t know. They do their research on anything and find out the answer. Some of the new guns can be more expensive than the bigger national stores like sportsman’s warehouse, but when you shop locally you giving money back to the town. Plus Alaska Ammo has experienced staff that know what they are talking about. I give Them 5/5 Stars!!

Very helpful and carry a good stock..had a weapon sent to them via mail to transfer to me and unfortunately I got delayed by NICS. They released the firearm to me after the 72 hour requirement with no proceed. Was worried about the delay since that was the first time that has happened..plus they waived the transfer fee because I spent $150 in store on a case and some ammo.

The prices are okay, the reason for the low rating is because of the lack of professionalism in regards with customer service. The last time I was in there I felt as if I were bothering the gentleman helping me. The other issue that frustrates me, is the military discount, I have to remind them every time even after I show my ID or orders. They still ring up everything without the discount. I have spent a lot of money at Alaska ammo. Myself and a few of my friends will be taking our business elsewhere.

Hard to find ammo, knowledgeable staff, priced like GunBroker, cheap FFL service my**If you are not from Alaska, please dont review about business price points** needed comment after reading a lot of reviews from out of state folks. Your not in Kansas anymore.They have hard to find ammo like 25-20, and 9.3x62At least Tom ( tall TOM) has great amounts of knowledge and is willing to share. Sometimes that knowledge contradicts what the marketing world tells you( good on the shop for honesty)Most fire arms are priced on par with gunbroker. ( But you dont have to pay shipping and FFL fees to get it )Last time I was in there an FFL transfer was $20. Cheapest I found.Some ammo is spendy. But seeing as you need to private contract a shipper ( not USPS, FedEx, or UPS ) to bring ammo to the state, I believe it is fair for where we live.I will be back for ammo, and ffl transfers for sure.

Awesome every time I go in, the employees are outstanding I purchased an upper 10.2 receiver for $60 lower than any website. They are always stocked with ammo unlike sportsmans.

Went in to buy a handgun with cash in hand and guy was rude. Didnt seem interested in my business at all so I went to Frontier Outfitters where I recieved way better care and bought what I was looking for.

Sales person didnt greet us when coming in (or anytime while there for that matter...) seeming too busy arguing who can tell and one up the other against another customer while others waited. Wide selection of ammuntion but eveything is way overpriced so unless you need an obscure caliber go next door to walmart and save your wallet some stress...
