My favorite local art store. As an art teacher I order my supplies online & go to the store for last minute items. This store has quality products and also has unique gift selection for art lovers. The staff is super friendly & helpful.

Lots of supplies for creative artists working in various mediums. They carry a large supply, although I am still looking for a silk frame for silk painting.The show is busy, not overcrowded, but I have had to what outside on occasion.

4 stars because things here are way more expensive then if I go to Michaels, but the quality of all the items they have is amazing! Nice variety of art supplies. Will definitely come back here for better quality of I ever need a present for someone.

The staff is great here- very knowledgeable and nice. I went today for their marabu marbling demonstration. It was interesting to learn the process and I marbled two pumpkins. Prices are competitive and theyve got a really good selection of art materials.

A huge selection of paints in different colors, brands, and type of paint. Also a large selection of canvases, and just about any other item youd need to paint +/or draw. They have other items for artists to use in other mediums as well. Framing is also available.

I love this store. Im more of a hobbyist, while my spouse is a professional artist and its great having a store that can easily cater to both of us. This comes down to their extremely wide selection of supplies at great prices. I can always find what I need here, and if I cant the staff have always been very helpful. I cannot recommend Plaza Arts enough!

I was there earlier today and the employee that helped me was very kind. However, I felt like I was being followed around the store most of the time and the manager was very rude and unprofessional I won’t be supporting this business! Blick arts is better anyway 😌

So. Many. Colors! I am no artist but the ideas that come from looking at the tools to be one awakens a sense of possibilities. In this store an entire wall of sketchbooks, a whole row of markers in rainbows, an array of pencils that goes far beyond the No. 2 that i filled in circles with on tests in school. Those all excite the imagination. An then theres the kits and canvas and frames and ... oh wow.Also a great place for cards, interesting gifts, and unique wrapping papers.Definitely worth popping in if youre in the shopping center.

Return policy could be better and also I used a 30% off coupon and everything was still the same price as it was on the shelves but it showed I used the coupons. It seems like if you use a coupon they just up the price and use the discount on the higher price. Its happened both times I used that coupon and its annoying. I know I should support local art stores because there arent that many but plaza is getting pricey and they dont have good coupons or sales in my opinion. Ill probably still keep going but definitely less frequently. Might just do most of my art supplies shopping online with someone else.

It is very refreshing to go to a store and get great help with coloring your project. The staff was actually able to show me a better and easier way to paint with a great finish. And yes, this store had the exact matching color that I needed. Five stars.

Pretty small place yet plenty of equipment for any visual artist. Went here for oil paint and supplies but Im going to explore more mediums thanks to the diverse selection in this store. Very quality products.

The store is small but offers good variety of quality products. Staff is most of the times unpleasant, the last couple of times I have been there they seem uninterested in helping.I ordered online twice to pick up at the store, delivery took a week the first time and is taking 4 days for the store to get notified on my online order - ridiculous!Last time I buy here!

Plenty of knowledgeable staff and prices are excellent competition against online. You need to get a membership for the discounts (free) and you are all set. They have a great selection and there is always something new to spend your money on! They keep up to date on the latest mediums.Extremely easy to get to. Beltway >> 66 west >> Nutley South (first exit once you are on 66). two traffic lights and you will see the shopping plaza.Theres a great gas station and a Safeway in the plaza so you can multitask :D

The store is great, has a bunch of supplies and all the things you could possibly need for art. But the service here is always inconsistent for me. When the older workers help me out, I feel like they don’t really want to be there and have a somewhat pretentious attitude.

I weep at how much I have spent here. The pricing is a bit hit or miss - watercolor paints and paper are generally comparable to online prices which is nice but other items seem to have a hefty markup. Im willing to support a local store however for the most part. Theres something about walking into an art store that triggers my inner child.

Just stumbled upon this place 2 months ago. It had some unique items on sale not available at Michaels store in the same shopping center that I needed for 2 home art projects. Store needs more prominent outdoor signage, otherwise it is easy to overlook.

Plaza is not the largest store of is kind that Ive been to but they pack a lot of quality artists materials in. This is where you go for the best true art tools & supplies.

This place has any art supply you may need. I got all the tools and materials I needed for my Architecture design class. Very good quality tools, paper, stencils, etc. And at a reasonable price.

I was so happy to find a real art store in Northern VA. The minute you walk in the store, you can smell the canvases, oil paints, clays and other materials, unlike the other chain arts and craft stores that smell like toxic plastic products. They have a wonderful selection of products for painters, sculptors, printers, those who like to use pen and pencil, and more. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to create fine art, whether beginner or seasoned pro.

I have fond memories of Plaza from art school so when I happened upon this location after coming from the hospital, I was thrilled! I was alittle disappointed in their selection of oil-based paint markers but for a small store, they crammed a ton of stuff inside. My favorite part were the small tables in front with artsy gift ideas and novelty socks/sticky notes with famous artists on them. It felt like I was back in college! I want to give a 5 for nostalgia sake but the staff didnt seem to know much about certain products and while their was a ton of stuff, they were still missing a lot. Definitely a great store if youre in the area but Ill stick with Dick Blick in DC.

This is the only place in Fairfax county with scratchboards that I could find. They have so many supplies here beyond that too and the prices didnt seem high either. They also have a clearance bin which I got a few things from. They also always have deals going on too!

Not cheap, but convenient and friendly

This place is heaven.I was looking for some Copic sketch markers. I checked the prices everywhere with this place even beating the website. I ended up getting a 12 set instead of a 6 set and spend only a little more money than if I bought the 6 set retail. Definitely going back for all my art needs.

They were having a 70 percent off sale on canvases, I got a 30 x 40 inch canvas (usually around 100 dollars) for 20 dollars. Also, they have a lot of professional grade materials and a wide variety of them, unlike Micheals, which doesnt even carry the good brands.
