We had our basement remodeled this summer and we used Johnny as our theater advisory throughout the design and buildout. He took the time to review our theater design and gave us great feedback - all for free! Even before we were committed to ordering equipment from him.We ended up ordering subs, receiver, screen, cables, universal remote, and the projector from Johnny. I was prepared to pay him a little more than I could find online because he was so good to us during our basement design phase and I wanted to support a local business. However, when I compared his pricing to what I could find online, I realized he was really giving us the best pricing around. We ran into some issues with the screen being delayed a few weeks but Johnny more than made up for that.Overall, I’m very happy with my experience with IQ and especially Johnny. I’ll be doing business with them again in the future. Highly recommended.

Had a great experience working with Sean. Extremely knowledgeable and unlike the other companies around, he was not trying to push me toward any one product or brand just because of what was available. We were able to narrow down all my equipment needs based on past experience and also beat all the other competition in pricing.Not to mention, they had the ability to actually get the stuff for me on time, which is hard to do now with most places having delays and backorders. I worked with Johnny to get a set of good quality home theater speakers for my projector set up. It had been over two years since I last talk to him about it. He was good about the delay. A lower level renovation and COVID-19 was most of that. I considered Focal but that was a reach, SVS was really my only realistic option to Klipsch. What can I say, for value and dynamic sound, Klipsch won. I’ve been a fan since my first stereo pair I got back in 1978! I highly recommend IQ over the big box store. They are great to deal with and will patiently show you all that is possible. Talk to Johnny or Shawn for good advice and a good deal!

Really Five-star service by IQ. I bought entire Home Theater system from them including screen, projector and 7.1 audio system. My sales Rep James is very Knowledgeable and helpful. He was very patient, answered all our questions and very cooperative right from giving the demo of the products, placing the order and coordinating the installation. John, the installer also did a great job. Rest of the team in their Fairfax show room are also very friendly. I’m confident that their after sales service also would be great. Really happy with the Klipsch Reference Premier Dolby Atmos system (13 speakers) and Denon AVR-6500H receiver I purchased from IQ Home Entertainment. Although I think the FedEx guy hates me now.Sean was extremely helpful in adjusting my system to meet my needs and fixing a shipping issue where the receiver must have been dropped. Shipped me a replacement out as soon as they received the return.I called several times with technical questions and was helped by a knowledgeable professional each time.The system sounds fantastic!I just hope my house can stand those two SPL-150 subwoofers.

If you want to purchase audio/video equipment buy it from IQ. I should have written this review long ago. I started bugging Sean and his staff in November 2018, for about 2 weeks with endless questions about Yamahas AV receivers. Yamaha just released their 2019 products and I wanted a good deal on the older 2018 receivers, and there were plenty of good deals to be had. I finally decided to pull the trigger and was to late. They just sold the last 2018 model that I wanted. Sean didnt skip a beat. He recognized my disappointment and immediately asked me if I would rather upgrade to a the Yamaha Aventage 7.2 channel AV Receiver-RX-A1080 for just a little more than the older, lesser model I missed out on. I received it FedEx the next day free of shipping charges. Almost a year has gone by and I couldnt be happier. These guys answered everyone of my questions and taught me a lot about this equipment. They had great attitudes and since then, I began working on becoming a better person, myself, when dealing with people. I know it sounds mushy, but...Thanks IQ guys for everything.

I have ordered twice on line with IQ, never been to their brick and mortar location. There was a delivery issue (the package was damaged by the carrier) with the first order but IQ was quick to resolve the situation. Ordered a Yamaha A-S501 from IQ Home Entertainment through Amazon. IQ called me later and let me know the color I had ordered was on back order and Yamaha was saying at least a few weeks till they shipped out more. IQ realized I really wanted that color so they offered me an A-S701 at a discount. I was very impressed with their customer service and they are also an authorized Yamaha dealer.

I bought a pair of GoldenEar Triton 2+ speakers about a year ago here. They were extremely professional and helpful. They didnt push me towards any particular product, but provided pros and cons, information, and left my wife and me alone in a listening room as long as we wanted. They even helped us move some fairly heavy speakers around to see if room position made a big difference. Great store with great people.

Went in to ask about HiFi headphones listed on there sight.1. No headphone in stock at all2. If there were headphones you couldnt try them out3. You would have thought I killed someone the way they looked at me and the long haired guy treated me like I was a waste of his time.I would not recommend this place at all. You are better off buying online somewhere else. Especially considering nothing is in stock to try anyways

Bought some Klipsch speakers from these guys back in May and love them. I am upgrading my system in our new house and I contacted these guys after seeing what they had on Amazon. I was really impressed with the level of service and how quickly they were able to ship out the items I wanted. My wife was able to put together a nice package of speakers that fit in our budget. Johnny was very responsive and has kept in contact regarding the status of our order. Still waiting for the products to arrive but unless there is some sort of damage to the product or the product doesnt work I would really recommend these guys.

IQ Home Entertainment is the best home entertainment group in the Washington, DC metro area. I am an old school stereo guy and needed to update my equipment. I spoke to them on the phone, told them what I was looking for, along with my budget, they were great.I went to their VA location, listen to the proposed system and placed an order.They delivered my system, set it up, tuned it for my room and gave me a lesson on how to use all of the equipment.You cannot go wrong working with the professionals at IQ.

I bought my first turn table recently on Amazon fulfilled thru IQ Entertainment. After six month or so my unit wasnt working. I sent an email into their support and got a call and email back from Sean within a few hours. I got busy and didnt reach back out to them for a few days. I called into support and asked for Sean. I was out on hold for less than a minute when he picked up. After a couple of minutes of troubleshooting we found the problem and I was back up and running. I got a quick tutorial on how to troubleshoot myself. Buying electronics can be intimidating online when you dont know who you are buying from and what level of support/if any you will get post sale. I am extremely pleased with the level of service I received from Sean and IQ Entertainment and would definitely but from them again.

So, I ordered a receiver from these guys (Merry Christmas to me!). My heart sank as I read the email stating that they were sold out. My frown turned upside down as I continued reading and saw that they were going to send me an upgrade for the same price!!!! I had a little trouble with the new receiver, and they promptly responded to my email. A little troubleshooting with James, and I was good to go. DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY FROM THESE GUYS. If I lived anywhere near their shop, I would buy everything from them.

What a great company to buy from and work with! I bought a like-new Denon receiver but experienced problems with it. Sean was great--he helped me trouble-shoot the problem, but since nothing we tried fixed the issue, he had me send him the defective receiver (free-of-charge) and sent out a replacement the same day they received my defective one. I had an issue with an amplifier that I had purchased from IQ through amazon. My home theater company could not resolve it. I sent it to the manufacturer and had it repaired under warranty which didn’t fix the problem. Amazon wouldn’t help because the time from purchase was too long. In desperation I called IQ directly and spoke with Sean who was absolutely amazing. He completely understood my 18 months of frustration and went to bat for me with the manufacturer directly. Because of his outstanding relationship with the manufacturer they agreed to replace it with the newest version of my receiver at no cost to me. Sorry this is such a long review but I’ve never had this kind of customer service. This was truly 5 star + service.

They also sell on Amazon and there was an issue with an advertised price and even though it didnt sound like it was all their fault, if any fault at all, they took care of me. Been a while since I bought Monitor Audio 5.1 speakers from here, plus a Yamaha receiver (2011?), but I thought I should add to the positive reviews. Store appearance-excellent. Prices-great. Selection-excellent. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and spent as much time with me as was necessary-never pressured. They installed the system as well, and it cane out excellent. Even after I paid for the equipment and had installation done, the customer service remained excellent, as they helped me with a few programming issues. The only bad thing is that the store is so far away from my house-could you open another branch for those of us that live north of the beltway? Either way, the next project I have, Im going back to IQ no matter where they are-worth the drive.

If you want to buy stereo gear IQ Home is the place. I called and talked with Sean ( remember that name ) and got all of my questions answered. They had the Yamaha A-S801 Amp I wanted in stock and got a great price so I called back about 4:00pm. By 6:00pm I had tracking numbers in my hand and the Amp was delivered the next day around lunch - no shipping charge. The Yamaha was exactly what I needed. I have 2 M&K studio monitors and 2 M&K powered subs. The Yamaha A-S801 has a sub-out thats just what I needed for the M&Ks. I have Seans phone number taped on the side of my computer if I need anything else.

INITIAL REVIEW (Fall of 2013) I purchased my Hi-Fi (Arcam components and Focal speakers) from IQ last year and had a very positive experience. This year after I purchased a townhome I visited IQ and picked up an LED TV, a Sub Woofer and a Receiver. I again had an extremely positive experience and when I upgrade the home theater next year, will shop with IQ. The staff knows the technology they sell very well. The prices are extremely competitive.I do my own installs and dont rely on wireless signals as wireless signals are known to be unreliable. I enjoy supporting this local business and look forward to doing business with them in the coming years.UPDATE (May 2014): Upgraded the Home Theater. Its insane. Seriously. I was guided to the right products as they know my tastes at this point. They helped me make the most of the budget I had.
