I bought a POOL TABLE in March, of 2018. Ive been so crazy busy, its taken me until NOW (mid-July, 2018) to write this review.Helio Lopes was my sales person. He was great. I walked into the store with one agenda; to buy a pool table. I didnt want to spend too much money, and I saw that there were some sales going on. I had looked online at the cheap crappy ones from online stores, or other companies - that were $1200-$2000.... the reviews online were all so mixed - most stating that they fell apart early on in the purchase. Other reviews stated that one should purchase a quality table.I came to THIS store, Great Gatherings, to do just that!Helio, pointed me immediately in the right direction, showed me numerous tables, the benefits of some, the disadvantages of others, the combination pool and table tennis tables, with a few side-tracks into poker tables too.After a good-15-minutes of explaining about the different types of tables (talking about their history, to include the thickness of flint, how theyre installed and delivered, the guarantee!), we stopped in front of one particular table. THE SPECIAL at the time, was an 8ft table, all the balls and accessories, a table-tennis top, with the accessories, the wall rack, for holding the cues, and two kings chairs - all for one amazing price - 50% LESS than normal price. I said yes.--Side Note: I have wanted a pool table for years. Initially, I looked online for a pool-table/dining table/ping-pong table - 3x functionality. If I can steer you in one way, it is to get something that is QUALITY! Those wonky cheap tables, will break within a year. Great Gatherings, has a superb selection of fine items, games, tables, bars, and other fun items - and while they are usually fairly pricey, when a sale comes along, you should take full advantage.--Second side note: The pool table was delivered - it took 7 weeks (thats really too long, I think, and I wasnt told it would take that long!) however, it was professionally installed, tested, and the installers explained how to look after it, as well as who to call if we ever move. Very helpful.We found that the pool cues were a little big for our space, so we went back to store again in May, and HELIO HELPED US AGAIN - and give us 2 1/2 sticks - which we use often. It was wonderful working with him, and he alone, we give a full FIVE STARS. Ask for him when you go to the Fairfax (Merrifield) location. He knows his stuff!--Weve used the table several times as a family, but since moving into our new home in February, we have had 3 parties (July now), with over 40 people at each, and the pool table is the largest hit at each party - friends line up to play, compete, and at the end of the night, the table-tennis top goes on to the table, and Beer Pong begins (were in our late 30s and early 40s, and yes, we still have fun!). Buy a quality pool table - call Helio Lopes. You WONT be disappointed!

Chad was incredibly helpful, without being intrusive, when we were looking for deck furniture. We narrowed it down to a few options and I appreciated that he let us shop, without being pushy, checked in occasionally to see if we had any questions. If you need a pool table or game room items, I cannot recommend Helio Lopes at Great Gatherings in Merrifield highly enough. I walked into their showroom a few months ago to get some game room ideas never thinking I would buy there because I thought they would have really high prices and met Helio Lopes. I had priced pool tables at Costco and other online retailers and Helio was able to beat their price for a beautiful pool table with loads of accessories in the frame and felt colors I really wanted. At that time I was just looking for the pool table and feel so fortunate to have met Helio because he not only helped me with that, he also helped me a few months later with a fantastic deal on a foosball table. Hello knew we were working with a limited budget and he helped me find very high-end and stylish industrial looking pool and foosball table (dark walnut, not the reddish dated looking pool tables you see everywhere) at an extremely reasonable price (believe me I have shopped around and there is no way anyone will beat him when it comes to value for the dollar, quality and selection). In addition to being very fair with pricing, Helio is super cool and a pleasure to work with! He even sent us a beautiful silver bowl Christmas gift! I highly recommend Helio and the Great Gatherings store in Merrifield, you must check them out before you buy anywhere else.

I recently purchased a pool table from Great Gatherings. I’ve had my pool table for a very short time. Of course pool sticks came with my purchase. Well in a matter of a few weeks all my pool sticks broke in the exact same spot!! I’m definitely not happy with my pool table purchase from Great Gatherings.

My fiancé and I just purchased our first home. We decided to go to a few stores in the mosaic area to find some furnishings and stumbled upon Great Gatherings. I will admit at first we didnt think we could afford some of the items, but we ended up finding a wonderful teak outdoor dining set that was worth the investment. We deliberated for about a week or so, and decided to go ahead with the purchase. Desi was wonderful with us and was there from the very beginning, educating us on the purchase and helping us understand what we were getting for the money. Before we pulled the trigger we did a lot of research online about the brand name and possible alternatives. With a purchase like this, I expect the furniture to last a long time and be supported by a company with a track record. Those options do not exist on Amazon, and while we found some sets on amazon that were slightly less expensive, nothing beats being able to see and touch the furniture before you buy it, and it brought us so much comfort knowing we could speak to someone about our purchase if we had any issues. I wouldnt trade the experience for anything less, and I wont trust big purchases like this to an online discount store with no accountability. Thanks Desi for the help. We love our new dining set.

Nice stuff, appears to be good quality. Very helpful sales staff walked me through some different options in a series of price ranges. And thats the rub - Great Gatherings has stuff for every budget, as long as you have a ton of money to buy the cheapest stuff, and oodles of extra cash you were going to burn anyway to buy the higher-priced stuff. $10k for a patio set? $9k for a damn fire pit?Eek.

This place is fantastic! Chad and his team went above and beyond to help our family pick out the perfect pieces for our game rooms. They were friendly, honest, and well informed about their products. We had been looking for transitional pieces in gray...classic with a modern twist and they had several to choose from. I cant say enough about how awesome this store is!

We came into Great Gatherings a few times looking at outdoor deck and patio furniture and really found the staff to be very friendly and helpful in pointing out and demonstrating all the features and pros and cons of the different options and not at all pushy. It was particularly nice to be remembered when we came back weeks later. We have been really happy with the non-matchy-matchy chairs we purchased to go with the teak table, which werent paired with the table on the showroom floor, and were the suggestion of the staff member with whom we were working, Desi. The delivery staff were also really nice and accommodating setting everything up. We will definitely be back when we purchase additional furniture for the patio and rec room!

This is a great store for outdoor furniture and indoor recreation products that are of high quality. The store is a large showroom so you can see many choices and try them out, and there is ample staff to help with any questions. We hesitated to order anything online that you cant sit on and see in person. We found a patio set that is just perfect for our budget, space and design sense. The customer service at the store and when we called from Chad and other staff is excellent. Delivery was scheduled quickly and the drivers came on time and were very accommodating. This was a rare superior shopping experience from start to finish.

Skeptical about these ratings. We walked in to look at outdoor furniture and were immediately descended upon by a hoard and “helpful” sales people when we just wanted to look in peace. The MSRP also seems suspect even though everything is on sale. If I had to guess, the sales prices are MSRP plus 10-15%.We left when we couldn’t shop in peace.

We purchased the Kenzo Patio see from Joe. First rate service! Although it was close to closing time, Joe patiently answered our questions, showed us our options, and did not pressure us to make a decision. We did not purchase it that night, but went to other retail stores and did internet searches, but the quality of this furniture could not be beat! We called and placed our order through the Mosaic store a few days later and were told delivery would be in 6-8 weeks. We received the furniture a little less than 4 weeks later and could not be more impressed! First class delivery and setup - and have received many compliments on the very comfortable patio set!! Now we want to spend all of our time outdoors enjoying our new furniture! For our other outdoor furniture needs, we will go straight to the Mosaic store! So worth the extra money for top notch quality furniture and service - highly recommend!!

I went to Great Gatherings in Mosaic District based on some television advertising I saw the week before. Our deck/furniture was wiped out after a tree fell due to the Windstorm earlier this year. I was pleasantly surprised that the advertising and deals were still available on items they still had in stock. This store is actually really aesthically pleasing.....big but not packed....interesting displays.....overall great. I had time to browse and sit in a couple of different table settings....and not immediately bombarded.My first interaction with Sales Rep Helio Lopes was pleasant. He asked how I was doing and if I needed any help. He listened to my response and added that if I could take a minute to draw the space I was trying to fill he could offer some suggestions as his primary function was that of an interior decorator. I drew, he asked important questions about my likes and dislikes and budget. I wish my budget and space was unlimited but it was not.He worked with me and met all of our needs. It required calling a sales rep (who was also responsive on a Sunday) in an effort to locate a discontinued piece and was out the door in 45 minutes.Helio was awesome and I would highly recommend checking out Great Gatherings!!!!! Quality outdoor furniture for a good price.

Our Sales associate, Helio, was attentive, courteous, and was able to advise us in patio furniture/game room topics that we were not well versed in. The service at the store and upon delivery was exceptional. I would recommend Helio and Great Gatherings to anyone!

Recently stopped in to Great Gatherings in Mosaic on a whim (was looking for a new couch for my living room) and as always when I go into GG, had to look around (my boyfriend loves their video games and I love their amazing gift and wine accesory sections).We were immediately drawn into the amazing patio sets as we had been looking at redoing our deck in the future and they were having a tremendous sale (50% off). After fixating on their in-store exclusive set, the Amelia, we were approached by Chad to see if we had questions. He was warm and friendly, informative and def not pushy (since we were not in the market for purchase). He gave us his card and said to give him a call when we were ready.The next few days, we continued thinking about The Amelia set and how much we liked it and what a great deal it was...so much so, we called our contractor and got an estimate for the new deck and moved our plans for next summer, to this Fall. I emailed Chad with our questions and he responded immediately (on his day off no less) and answered our questions.. he even said he would happily set up a call (on his other day off) to chat through any other questions that may come up.We were so blown away by the product and the customer service, we went in and bought the set from Chad yesterday and he arranged for us to hold the set in their warehouse and differ payments until it was delivereed. Talk about service!So happy and satisfied and cannot wait to have our set on our new deck!!

We had a great experience with Helio. He helped us narrow down our decision for a patio set and suggested colors and styles that would fit our needs. Delivery was a little slower than we had hoped but that was likely due to buying over a holiday. Helio kept us informed and I highly recommend using Great Gathering and Helio.

An evening out with family and visiting the Great Gatherings store ended with a purchase of a beautiful patio furniture with firepit. We were allowed to browse quietly. Helio was available to answer our questions and demo’d the firepit for us. Great experience all around.

Absolutely wonderful experience working with Tariq to buy new furniture for our deck. Also incredibly impressed by the two delivery guys, Tamarr and Brian who were so careful and thoughtful in their placement and assembly of the new furniture. We will definitely return to GG!
